Upon receiving the news that Sui Yuye was on the open-air terrace, Fu E and Fu Zhong immediately headed to Venus and entered the private elevator that went directly to the terrace.
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a hand reached in. “Hold the door, please!”
The manager stopped the doors with an apologetic smile and stepped aside. “Mr. Mian, please come in.”
Mian Guanfei walked in, ignoring the twins. As the doors were about to close again, another voice chimed in.
Driver: “Young Master He, over here.”
The elevator doors reopened. As soon as Shao Jinghe stepped inside, he noticed the three other people already there. He scoffed and turned his head away.
Fu Zhong decisively pressed the door-close button, but before it could shut, yet another person arrived.
The manager waited until Chu Mingsi and Qi Shengxian had also entered the elevator before letting out a sigh of relief. He turned to the attendant beside him and said, “Stand guard here. Don’t let anyone else use this elevator. The open-air terrace has been reserved for a private event.”
“Understood.”
The elevator was spacious and not crowded, but Fu E frowned. “Are you all here to find someone too?”
Fu Zhong shot a hostile glance. “Did you get the wrong elevator? This one goes directly to the top floor.”
Qi Shengxian didn’t even look up. “No mistake. I’m here to find my brother.”
Chu Mingsi added, “He’ll be fine. I’ve already warned Quan Wangcheng.”
Shao Jinghe sneered. “What good is your warning? What I saw earlier told a different story.”
Mian Guanfei asked, “How is he doing?”
“…Not great. Even in that sorry state, he was trying to comfort others. I’m starting to wonder if he even has a brain.”
Qi Shengxian shot Shao Jinghe a sharp glare. “Then why are you still clinging to my brother? Who’s the one without a brain here?”
“Ding—”
The elevator doors opened. The dazzling city lights in the distance blurred, while the person nearby became the focal point of their vision.
Sui Yuye seemed different somehow.
He was leaning back, sitting quietly against the sofa.
He wore a black suit jacket, unbuttoned and left wide open, with nothing underneath—wild and provocative.
His chest and abs were exposed to the air, firm and without an ounce of excess fat. The narrow curve of his waist seemed to beckon, as if inviting someone to break and dominate him.
Sui Yuye turned his head to look at them. The high bridge of his nose was illuminated by the faint light, yet it obscured the sharpness in his gaze. Beneath his bright, clear eyes lay a layer of exhaustion. The collar and ear studs became tangible marks, as if he had fallen into the dust.
But it wasn’t enough.
He shouldn’t be sitting on the sofa. He should be kneeling on the ground, limbs limp, his fragile neck tilted upward, waiting for someone to pull and control him with a chain.
Without permission, he could have no reaction. His actions could only be decided by someone else. Without that person, he would be utterly powerless.
Sui Yuye grabbed a glass and hurled it toward them.
“Take a good look, all of you!!”
As they approached him, his jacket was suddenly pulled tight.
“Why aren’t you wearing anything under your suit again? Are you really not afraid of the cold?” Shao Jinghe buttoned up his jacket, covering the eye-catching body beneath.
“It’s Quan Wangcheng who’s insane. He wouldn’t let me wear anything,” Sui Yuye replied, exasperated.
“Brother, aside from your foot, are you hurt anywhere else?” Qi Shengxian worriedly took his hand and noticed the watch on his wrist.
“No, I’m fine.”
“How’s your foot? Can you still walk?” Fu E and Fu Zhong crouched down in front of him to examine his ankle.
“Don’t touch, it’s not healed yet.” Sui Yuye said, his ear suddenly being lightly brushed.
“Did Quan Wangcheng pierce your ear? Why haven’t you taken it off?” Chu Mingsi’s finger grazed the silver earring.
“Don’t touch it, it still hurts a lot. I’m afraid it’ll bleed if I take it off.”
“Lift your neck a bit, I’ll help you take off the collar.” Mian Guanfei stood behind him, touching the back of his neck.
“It’s magnetic, you need a magnet to unlock it.”
Sui Yuye was in a foul mood, pulling a cigarette from the pack beside him and placing it between his lips.
Just as he was looking for a lighter, the sound of flint striking came from beside his ear, and a lighter was offered to him.
Several other soft clicks followed, lighters extending from various angles all at once, clustering around the cigarette at his lips, the flames illuminating Sui Yuye’s handsome face.
Sui Yuye froze, his gaze shifting slightly. All he could see were hands holding lighters—they were all high-level Roms.
None of the Roms spoke, maintaining their posture of offering him a light as if waiting for him to light the cigarette.
“…” Sui Yuye lowered his chin and casually borrowed a light from one of them.
In front of the Venus entrance.
“Why did the boss suddenly say he was coming?” the director asked.
“He finished his work, probably coming to inspect,” the manager whispered. “It’s been a month, so it’s normal for him to check in.”
A Rolls-Royce Phantom pulled up, and the manager respectfully stepped forward to open the door. “Good evening, Mr. Song.”
The owner of Venus had arrived. A tall figure bent down and stepped out, his hair swept back to reveal his forehead, making his features appear even more mature under the night sky.
The manager noticed another car following behind.
Two men with identical appearances stepped out, their looks no less striking than Mr. Song’s. The manager hadn’t seen them before and concluded they weren’t members of Venus. “And these two gentlemen are?”
One of the men put on a hearing aid and yawned as if he had just woken up:
“We’re surnamed Jiang, here from White City to discuss some matters with Quan Wangcheng.”
Sui Yuye saw a waiter approach and whisper something to Quan Wangcheng. Quan Wangcheng glanced faintly in his direction before following the waiter away.
“Is there any food here? I’m hungry,” Sui Yuye asked.
Shao Jinghe: “You haven’t eaten yet?”
Sui Yuye scratched his head: “From the moment Quan Wangcheng dragged me into the manor until now, I haven’t had anything to eat or even a sip of water.”
Qi Shengxian immediately instructed a waiter to prepare something.
Fu E: “We brought medicine, let’s treat your injuries first.”
“No need, it’ll heal in a couple of days.”
Sui Yuye tried to pull his right foot back, but his calf was grabbed. The two crouched down, and Fu Zhong removed his leather shoe. “Don’t move, it’s swollen like this—you can’t just leave it untreated.”
Fu Zhong placed Sui Yuye’s foot on his thigh, his gaze unconsciously lingering on a certain spot.
He blinked and murmured, “…His ankle is so slender.”
Fu E was also looking: “It seems like it could be held with just one hand?”
Fu Zhong rolled up his pant leg, preparing to pull down the sock, only to see the garter clip fastened around his calf. The two of them pursed their lips in restraint, carefully undoing each one.
Applying the ointment to his palm, Fu E pressed his hand against Sui Yuye’s ankle bone. Sui Yuye shuddered, instinctively pulling back, but Fu E quickly held him in place.
“…It really can be held with one hand,” Fu E whispered to his brother.
“Let me try,” Fu Zhong said, reaching out as well.
Slender fingers closed, truly able to encircle it easily, the bones effortlessly enveloped, as if just by holding it like this, the other person would be unable to break free.
The two of them stared quietly for a few seconds, their minds suddenly flashing with certain images, their ears beginning to grow warm.
What would it be like if interrupted? Would he cry?
After finishing, Sui Yuye watched as the two of them sat down on either side of him.
Fu E said, “Back then… we shouldn’t have left you waiting there alone. Because we left without taking you with us, we gave Quan Wangcheng an opportunity to take advantage.”
Fu Zhong added, “And it was also because of us that you got hurt.”
Both of them spoke with their heads lowered, not daring to look up.
“How could it be because of you?” Sui Yuye glanced at them from side to side. “It was just that there happened to be stairs nearby, and besides, it was Quan Wangcheng’s fault.”
Fu Zhong and Fu E paused, lifting their heads, only to have them gently pressed down again.
Sui Yuye pressed their heads against his shoulders, his hand lightly ruffling their hair:
“As long as you’re both okay, that’s all that matters.”
