In the hospital room, past the sofa and coffee table, near the window, stood a hospital bed.

A man in a patient gown sat on the bed, head lowered as if looking at something.

At first glance, Qi Yuqiu was captivated—the man’s body radiated an intensely fierce Malevolent aura!Full novel: After the Metaphysics Ancestor Transmigrated into a Fake-Pregnant Cannon Fodder — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

So-called Malevolent auras are categorized into yin malevolent auras, blood malevolent auras, evil malevolent auras, and so on. These auras are generated over time in places of yin and evil, or are carried by long-existing Vengeful Ghosts and other malevolent entities after cultivation. However, the Malevolent aura emanating from the man before him did not belong to any of these categories.

This was yang malevolent aura, specifically designed to suppress malevolent entities. It was most commonly found in government offices and official residences, which was why, since ancient times, malevolent beings dared not approach those in public service. The yang malevolent aura on Min Yu was like a sharp blade, almost taking tangible form, rendering the box utterly incapable of harming him.

Such a potent yang malevolent aura—Qi Yuqiu had never seen anything like it before.

The man sitting on the bed looked up, revealing a strikingly handsome face.

Such a beautiful person—Qi Yuqiu had never seen anyone like him either, and for a moment, he was completely stunned.

The man frowned, gesturing for him to find a seat.

So, Qi Yuqiu pulled up a stool and sat down by the hospital bed.

Hmm, up close, he looked even more handsome.

Sharp eyebrows and starry eyes—that described President Min perfectly!

“What are you smiling about?” Min Yu spoke, his voice magnetic and deep.

Qi Yuqiu touched his own face. “Was I smiling? No, I wasn’t!”

He hadn’t been smiling!

Min Yu watched as the corners of this person’s mouth uncontrollably lifted, unable to comprehend what he was up to this time.

Qi Yuqiu placed the box in his hand on the table. The Resentful Energy inside the box had already dissipated the moment he approached Min Yu.

Min Yu shifted his gaze to the box and asked, “What is this?”

“Oh, this is a gift I brought for you.” Qi Yuqiu opened the box, revealing a sapphire that sparkled brilliantly under the sunlight.

Min Yu merely glanced at it casually before turning his attention away, lowering his head to continue reading the documents.

Qi Yuqiu, however, stared at his profile, frowning slightly.

Min Yu’s body carried too much Malevolent aura. Although it was yang malevolent aura, Malevolent aura was still Malevolent aura, and it would affect his Fate Pattern. Currently, his bond with his parents was weak, and he was destined to bring misfortune to his wife and children. While not exactly a celestial loner, he was fated for solitude and loneliness.

The “yang” in yang malevolent aura depended on the person’s disposition. Min Yu’s current temperament was calm and his character upright, so the Malevolent aura manifested as yang. However, if one day his mindset were to become unbalanced, such a dense Malevolent aura, if exploited by those with ill intentions, would undoubtedly lead to endless calamity.

Qi Yuqiu had originally intended to quickly deal with the Gu in his stomach and sever this ill-fated connection as soon as possible. But now, it seemed that before resolving the Malevolent aura on Min Yu, he would have to stay.

Mrs. Min had asked him to move in with Min Yu—what a serendipitous coincidence.

“If you have nothing else, you may leave,” Min Yu said calmly.

This was a clear dismissal.

Qi Yuqiu coughed and replied earnestly, “How could I do that? You’re injured like this—I must stay and take care of you. Don’t be polite, what’s our relationship, after all!”

Min Yu raised an eyebrow, finally looking up at Qi Yuqiu.

The first time he met this young man, he had known that this face was exceptionally beautiful—a touch more vivid would seem vulgar, a touch less would appear bland. However, this face was always adorned with flattery and obsequiousness, mixed with a hint of foolish scheming. No matter how beautiful the face, it could only evoke disgust.

A foolish, shameless vase—that was his first impression of Qi Yuqiu.

He just never expected that this pretty face would have the audacity to target him, even claiming to be pregnant with his child.

Min Yu found it laughable at the time. Even though the test results showed signs of pregnancy, he never believed it. He simply wanted to see where this kid would produce a child ten months later.

During their few encounters, Qi Yuqiu’s face was always plastered with flattery and sycophancy, seizing every opportunity to cling to him, which was utterly repulsive. Yet the person before him now seemed somewhat different from before.

The kid’s eyes were clear, with a hint of insight, like a pristine spring, free of impurities.

The face was still the same, but stripped of the fawning expression, it was actually quite pleasing to the eye.

Moreover, instead of looking at him with eagerness, it seemed more like he was viewing… a nuisance?

Min Yu found it quite amusing and asked, “What do you think our relationship is?”

Qi Yuqiu was at a loss for words. This question—he really couldn’t bring himself to say it.

“Go on, what’s our relationship?” Min Yu watched as the kid’s cheeks flushed crimson, the corners of his lips curling slightly. He never thought he’d see an expression like shyness on that face.

Qi Yuqiu threw caution to the wind and said, “Don’t you already know? It’s the relationship between the child’s dad and… the child’s dad. Right, Dad?”

Min Yu laughed, watching him pretend to be shameless while his face flushed all the way to his ears.

Qi Yuqiu told himself not to get angry, not to get angry. He was still a twenty-eight-year-old kid, and by his own reckoning, he was hundreds of years old. How could he argue with a child?

“Is the child doing well?” Min Yu asked with a faint, mischievous smile, glancing at Qi Yuqiu’s stomach.

Qi Yuqiu guiltily covered his belly. If he came clean now, Min Yu would definitely kick him out. No, no, that wouldn’t do.

“The child’s fine, no need to worry,” he said.

Min Yu nodded, feigning seriousness. “That’s good. You’re still early in the pregnancy, so you need to be careful. It won’t stabilize until after three months. I’ll have Liu Hao keep an extra eye on you.”

Qi Yuqiu mumbled in agreement, picked up an apple and a fruit knife from the table, swiftly peeled it, and handed it to him. “Here, eat.”

Only after Min Yu took the apple did he let out a sigh of relief.

“I need to move in with you. Is that okay?”

The smile faded from Min Yu’s face. “Did my mother go see you?”

Qi Yuqiu nodded. Being closer would make it easier for him to keep an eye on Min Yu before figuring out how to dispel the malevolent aura.

“Do you want to go yourself?”

Qi Yuqiu naturally nodded, though in truth, he didn’t want to go at all. Spending every day together—what if, after the malevolent aura was resolved, Min Yu took a liking to him? Not that he was narcissistic, but back on the mountain, flowers, grass, trees, and even a few little foxes had relentlessly pursued him.

What a headache, Qi Yuqiu sighed.

“If you don’t want to go, then don’t. No one can force you,” Min Yu raised an eyebrow.

“No, I’m happy to. Besides, the child needs to bond with you too,” Qi Yuqiu said, shamelessly.

Min Yu smirked. “Oh, is that so? Then go pack your things and move in. I’m being discharged tomorrow.”

“Alright, I’ll wait for you at home,” Qi Yuqiu said without a hint of reluctance, getting up to leave.

Min Yu was taken aback for a moment, his eyes darkening before he laughed.

Liu Hao and Qi Yuqiu returned to the old mansion once more to fetch their luggage. However, the usually empty residence was now bustling with activity. Before Qi Yuqiu even stepped inside, he could hear the chattering voices from the living room and found it rather strange.

As he pushed the door open, before he could even take in the scene inside, he was staggered by a wave of Resentful Energy that rushed toward him.

This Resentful Energy was filled with overwhelming hatred, tinged with dark red hues of blood. His empathic abilities were too strong—he could even faintly hear the sharp cries of children within it.

Qi Yuqiu’s expression instantly darkened. This Resentful Energy came entirely from children who had not yet developed spiritual awareness, even infants. What inhuman torment had those children endured to produce such a dense and bloody Malevolent aura?

“Oh, why aren’t you coming in?” someone called out upon seeing Qi Yuqiu. Everyone in the living room turned to look at the doorway, staring at him as if he were a clown, each face wearing a mocking, disdainful smile.

The young man who had spoken walked over with a malicious grin. “Tsk, tsk, it’s been a few days, and you, the big star, have actually become my sister-in-law. I never expected that! Good thing I didn’t sleep with you that day, or I’d have given Min Yu a green hat, hahaha!”

The people around burst into laughter.

Qi Yuqiu recognized the speaker—it was Cheng Qi, the nephew of Mrs. Min. The original host had once tried to strike up a conversation with him at a banquet, only to be ridiculed and give up.

He noticed that Cheng Qi was wearing a pendant around his neck, and the continuous stream of Resentful Energy was emanating from it. It seemed likely that the cufflink Mrs. Min had was a gift from this man.

Cheng Qi found a small corner and half-reclined on the sofa, gesturing for Qi Yuqiu to come over. His aunt had said Qi Yuqiu had changed, but he didn’t believe a mere celebrity could be that impressive.

“Pour me a drink.”

He ordered Qi Yuqiu without any courtesy. What did it matter if he was the CEO of the Min Group? He was just picking up Cheng Qi’s discarded trash. Cheng Qi stared at Qi Yuqiu’s delicate face, fantasizing about having his way with Min Yu’s person… and felt a sudden surge of excitement.

Qi Yuqiu was just a lowly bug trying to climb up, timid and submissive. He definitely wouldn’t dare complain, and even if he did, his aunt wouldn’t let Min Yu do anything to him…

The more Cheng Qi thought about it, the more excited he became, his gaze growing increasingly heated.

Sensing the hidden intent in Cheng Qi’s gaze, Qi Yuqiu stepped away in disgust and sneered, “Mr. Cheng, I’m afraid if I pour you a drink, you won’t have the fortune to enjoy it.”

Cheng Qi exploded instantly. “Do you think you’re better than everyone else just because you’ve latched onto Min Yu? Let me tell you, don’t expect my aunt to back you up. If she hadn’t wanted to disgust Min Yu by forcing him to marry you, would you have ever gotten into this family?”

As he spoke, he stood up and tried to grab Qi Yuqiu’s shoulder. Qi Yuqiu seized his wrist and twisted it hard, then lightly tapped his other hand on Cheng Qi’s shoulder. Cheng Qi instantly collapsed to the floor, unable to move.

“What I meant was, if you drink my wine, you probably won’t live to see tomorrow. So, do you still want it?” As he spoke, he reached out and grabbed the pendant around Cheng Qi’s neck. The pendant felt cold to the touch—it was actually a section of a child’s finger bone.

Qi Yuqiu crushed the silver clasp on the pendant with force. Freed from the restraint of the silver clasp, the overwhelming Resentful Energy instantly erupted and surged madly into Cheng Qi’s body.

A cold, eerie wind swept through the living room, causing the onlookers to shiver involuntarily.

Someone, seeing Cheng Qi sitting dazedly on the floor, hurriedly helped him up and scolded Qi Yuqiu, “What do you think you are, daring to lay a hand on Brother Qi?”

“Brother Qi, go tell Auntie, let’s take this guy out and teach him a lesson, otherwise he really thinks he’s somebody!”

Cheng Qi only felt cold, extremely cold, so cold he couldn’t speak, shivering uncontrollably.

The person supporting him finally noticed something was wrong and shouted, “Brother Qi, call for help, Brother Qi, what’s wrong with you?”

Qi Yuqiu said darkly, “If you don’t want to die, confess honestly. Where did you get the pendant and those cufflinks?”

Hearing him ask about the pendant and the box, Cheng Qi remembered his aunt had told him the box matter had been discovered and he needed to think of another way.

He shivered a few times, feeling his body temperature slowly return, and his mood calmed down. Pushing away the person supporting him, he sneered, “Qi Yuqiu, you dare to lay hands on me? What kind of trash are you? I’m telling you, even if Min Yu were here, this matter wouldn’t be settled!”

“Where did you get the pendant?”

“Can’t you understand human speech? Hold him down for me!” Cheng Qi was furious. A lowlife who sold his body actually dared to hit him. Today, he’d make him understand that the lower class will always be the lower class.

Four or five people surrounded them. Seeing the situation turn bad, Liu Hao, standing at the door, adjusted his glasses, rolled up his sleeves, and walked to Qi Yuqiu’s side.

Qi Yuqiu snorted coldly and laughed, “These few small fries aren’t even enough for a warm-up. You’re a scholar, better not get involved.”

Pushing Liu Hao aside, Qi Yuqiu reached out with one hand toward the person extending a hand at him, grabbed the acupoint on his wrist, and twisted it hard. That person screamed, clutching his arm as he crouched on the ground.

The others exchanged glances and charged together. Expressionless, Qi Yuqiu formed a Hand Gesture Technique and drew a talisman in the air before them. Before the four could reach him, they felt dizzy and collapsed straight to the ground.

Cheng Qi looked at his friends lying all over the floor and began to tremble. “Qi Yuqiu, don’t forget, I’m Min Yu’s cousin. My aunt is Min Yu’s biological mother! If you dare lay a hand on me, she won’t let you off.”

“Oh, now you’re saying Min Yu is your brother?” Qi Yuqiu was both angered and amused by this shamelessness. “Then today, I’ll teach you on behalf of your brother how to be a decent person!”

“Speak! Where did you get the pendant?”

“Your mouth is tough, huh? Let’s see how long you can keep it up!”

Liu Hao watched as Qi Yuqiu effortlessly subdued several young men. After a moment of stunned silence, he calmly accepted this fact. Then he saw Qi Yuqiu slap a talisman on Cheng Qi, who immediately fell to the ground, wailing in agony.

Things beyond his understanding of the world, he simply chose to ignore. After all, he could even accept the idea of a man getting pregnant.

Cheng Qi was also spineless. He didn’t last a minute before breaking down in tears, begging for mercy. “I’ll talk, I’ll talk! The pendant was bought from a Taoist priest. He has no fixed residence, I can’t find him either!”

Qi Yuqiu removed the talisman paper and said coldly, “Get lost.”

The people lying on the ground suddenly felt their bodies lighten. They quickly scrambled up, supporting Cheng Qi as they fled outside.

At the door, Cheng Qi turned back with a vicious glare. Once he returned and found that master, he’d make sure Qi Yuqiu suffered a fate worse than death!

“He’s glaring at you,” Liu Hao said, withdrawing his gaze and turning to Qi Yuqiu.

“He won’t last more than ten days anyway. We have important matters to attend to, no need to bother with such people.”
