“Qin Er!” Eldest Brother Qin called out to stop him. “You’re going back just like that?”

Qin Er nodded. Qin Quan said, “Grandfather will be angry.”

Qin Er’s expression was as cold as frost. “I will personally tell Grandfather that I’ve left. If he wants to punish me, he can wait until his hundredth birthday to tell me.”

He turned and walked away, encountering Uncle Sun and several servants along the way.

None of them dared to stop Qin Er, only able to watch him leave with open eyes and return to inform Master Qin.

On the road, his phone kept ringing endlessly, some calls were from Qin Fang, others from Grandfather Qin.

Qin Er ignored them all. Looking at the neon lights on the way home, his heart beat with unprecedented intensity.

How strange, it was the very first time he had ever wanted so badly to go to a place.

A place with Chen Wan.

The car parked in the garage. Qin Er went upstairs and headed straight for Chen Zhao’s door. The door to Chen Zhao’s home was unlatched. Qin Er walked over with long strides, and a figure suddenly appeared at the doorway.

Qin Er froze in his tracks. First, he saw a pair of exceptionally pale and long legs. Moving upward from the bottom was a black skirt hem.

A girl poked her head out.

Chen Zhao was wearing a halter neck short dress with black lace on the front bodice. The girl’s youthful curves were on display right before Qin Er’s eyes.

Qin Er’s pupils shrank abruptly, and a surge of heat like volcanic lava gathered in his heart.

“Brother.” Chen Zhao bit his lip, his eyes glistening wetly, with a delicate shade of pink at the corners. “You’re finally back. I’ve been waiting for you for so long.”

Qin Er’s foot had already stepped over the threshold. “Didn’t you say your stomach hurt?”

“Of course! But I’ve already taken medicine, so it doesn’t hurt as much anymore.”

Before Qin Er arrived, he had swept up all the garbage bags from the instant noodles and ice cream, taken a pill, and intentionally dressed up in a spicy halter dress. It had truly exhausted him.

Yet, the fact that Qin Er actually rushed back from home meant that Lili wasn’t all that important in his heart after all.

Thinking this, Chen Zhao curled his lips into a smile and reached out to tug at the sleeve of his suit jacket.

“Brother, with you rushing back like this, won’t they be angry~”

A cold glint flashed behind the silver rimmed glasses. “Ignore them.”

Chen Zhao felt smug inside. He suddenly clutched his chest. “Doctor Brother, my heart is beating so fast. Could you help listen to my heartbeat?”

“Fast?” When he uttered that word, Qin Er couldn’t believe he was capable of producing such a raspy voice.

“Mm-hmm.” Chen Zhao reached out and grabbed his sleeve. “Doctor Brother, come to my room and listen to my heart.”

Qin Er narrowed his eyes, his feet already following Chen Zhao as he stood up.

The girl walked ahead of him. The spicy dress was extraordinarily short, so short that it exposed a bit with every step, nearly on the verge of a wardrobe malfunction.

The girl’s long legs were both straight and fair. If those legs could wrap around something, it would undoubtedly be a visual feast.

At such a late hour, inviting him, a man, into the room made her intentions crystal clear.

Just as they stepped inside, the scene before his eyes made Qin Er freeze.

On the bed, on the desk, and on the floor were clothes everywhere. Stuffed animals were scattered here and there, and the desk was littered with messy cosmetics, even the liquid foundation had spilled.

Chen Zhao was happily pulling Qin Er along when the other person suddenly stopped moving. Looking back, he asked, “What’s wrong?”

Following the other’s gaze, he looked back at his own room and said, “It is indeed a bit messy, but there’s order in the chaos! It’s still manageable, hahahaha.”

Qin Er: ?

He rolled up his cuffs and squatted down. “Go change clothes.”

Chen Zhao: “Huh?”

The man looked up. “Clean the room.”

An hour later, Chen Zhao was kneeling on the floor with his rear end sticking high up in the air, wiping the floor while cursing Qin Er under his breath. “Old man… really acting like my dad… exhausted to death, huffing and puffing…”

Qin Er wiped the windowsill, it was squeaky clean and dustless. Satisfied, he turned around and saw the girl crouching on the ground muttering to herself, a slight smirk touching his lips.

The girl had her back to him, her waist slightly dipped, and her peach like rear held high, swaying side to side with the motion of wiping the floor, almost as if inviting him for a taste.

Qin Er’s eyes darkened, and he walked over.

Just as Chen Zhao wanted to take a break, a large hand suddenly wrapped around his waist. He was lifted up whole and tossed onto the fresh, clean bed.

The mattress sank down. Chen Zhao lay there limply, the hem of his top rolled up, revealing a section of his fair, pink tummy.

“Still want me to listen to your heartbeat?” The man’s hands braced on either side of Chen Zhao.

Staring at the man, Chen Zhao’s lips curved upward into a playful smile.

He reached up and wrapped his arms around Qin Er’s neck. “Since there’s no stethoscope, just use your hand.”

He lifted his head, his red lips nearing Qin Er’s earlobe, breathing out a fragrance like orchids. “Doctor Brother, come listen and see if my heart is fluttering.”

Saying so, he even pulled the lace front down a bit, exposing a wide swath of fair skin.

Qin Er’s breathing grew heavy. He reached out. “Do you know where the apex of the heart is?”

“Where is it?”

“Medial to the intersection of the fifth intercostal space and the left midclavicular line.”

Chen Zhao took his hand. “Brother, show me.”

“Is it right here?” He pressed down. “0.5 centimeters, right?”

Touching the girl’s delicate skin, a trace of dark obscurity flashed in Qin Er’s eyes. “How do you know?”

Chen Zhao: “I specifically looked it up. Brother, do I count as a good student?”

A warm palm covered the man’s hand. “Doctor Brother.”

Hearing those words, Qin Er only felt something surging inside his heart, almost bursting into stormy waves.

He closed his eyes slightly, the blue veins on his forehead bulging. “Do you talk like this to everyone when you get examined?”

“What?”

It took Chen Zhao a moment to realize what Qin Er was asking.

“How could that be possible,” Chen Zhao said with a radiant smile. “Haven’t I said it before?”

“I only call you Brother.”

Hearing this answer was like a cool spring flowing across his heart. Yet after the sweet spring passed, what remained was a barren, parched field, craving fresh irrigation.

Qin Er narrowed his eyes slightly, gazing intently at the girl, wanting to touch even more. Unbeknownst to him, in the very next second, Chen Zhao smoothly slid out from his embrace.

“Brother, I’m going to sleep now.” Chen Zhao stood at the doorway, making a “please” gesture. “Good night.”

Qin Er stood up, the intensity in his eyes virtually a raging storm. “You’re asking me out?”

“Mhm. Cleaning up just now was so tiring.” Chen Zhao smiled sweetly.

“What, blaming me?”

“How could I? Brother is the absolute best.”

Qin Er let out a soft chuckle, walked over, and raised his hand to pat his head. Chen Zhao froze.

“Go to sleep early.” Having said that, the man walked out.

Long after the door was shut, Chen Zhao’s senses gradually returned.

Did that old man just pat his head?

Dammit! He wasn’t a pet, how dare he pat his head!

Chen Zhao’s face inexplicably flushed red for a moment. He took off the wig and threw it aside.

Opening the closet, he picked out a brand new bag bought earlier today. The price was neither more nor less, exactly one thousand higher than the one Lili bought today.

Chen Zhao placed the bag on the table he had wiped squeaky clean, snapping photos from the left, right, top, and bottom, uploading a nine grid set of photos from different angles.

Wanwan: 【Thank you, Brother, for buying me this bag~ (smile)】

He blocked Qin Er so that only Lili could see it. After posting, he tossed his phone aside and flopped onto the bed to sleep.

Having been made to do so much housework under the management of that old man Qin Er, Chen Zhao was far too exhausted to keep his eyes open, falling fast asleep as soon as he touched the bed.

The next day, as soon as Chen Zhao woke up, he grabbed his phone and saw a new message.

QE: 【Come eat breakfast when you wake up.】

Chen Zhao sat up abruptly, brushed his teeth, washed his face, put on clothes and makeup, and opened Qin Er’s door smelling delightfully fragrant.

“Brother~”

Qin Er was standing in front of the floor to ceiling window drinking coffee. Hearing the voice, he turned around.

Today’s girl was very different from before. She wore a pure white, over the knee dress, her hair cascading down her shoulders, with a string of pearl necklace wrapped around her neck.

She was a spicy chili pepper the night before, but today she had turned into a magnolia blossom.

This vast contrast left Qin Er feeling dry mouthed and hot throated. His gaze shifted downward, the girl was covered up tightly, but her chest was voluptuously full, making one instinctively want to tear away her outer clothes and peek at the beauty within.

When the girl saw the breakfast on the table, her eyes lit up. “Brother, I’m so happy! I can actually eat such a hot breakfast.”

“In the past, I always just grabbed a piece of bread casually to get by. It would be so nice if I could eat such a warm breakfast every day.”

Chen Zhao took a bite of a steamed bun, narrowing his eyes in blissful satisfaction. Sunshine poured through the floor to ceiling window onto his face, looking flawlessly pale and beautiful.

Qin Er lowered his eyelashes. “You want to eat breakfast every day?”

Chen Zhao nodded. “Mm-hmm.”

Qin Er: “I heard you mention before that your dad doesn’t really care about you.”

Chen Zhao swallowed the bun. “It’s way more than just ‘not caring’. When I was little, the nanny picked me up and dropped me off for school. During holidays when I went home, he only asked about my test scores and didn’t care if I ate or not.”

“During the period after my mom passed away, I had no appetite, but he couldn’t tell either. It was during those days that I developed stomach problems.” Chen Zhao sniffled.

“But it’s okay, it’s all in the past now. Now I’ve met Brother!” Chen Zhao smiled at Qin Er. “Brother is the best.”
