That slippery object stirred inside his mouth, leaving Chen Zhao completely stunned.
Holy crap! Bro, why are you sticking your tongue in?! Nobody told me this was part of the plan!
Chen Zhao pressed his hand against Qin Er’s chest to push him away, but Qin Er caught his wrist instead and pinned it behind his back.
He extended his own tongue, wanting to push Qin Er out, but to Qin Er, the gesture looked like a response. Qin Er hooked around his lips and tongue, sucking and entwining with them.
A wave of numbness washed over the tip of his tongue, sending what felt like an electric shock through Chen Zhao’s entire body. He leaned limply against Qin Er, his eyes glistening with tears.
Qin Er finally released him when he was nearly out of breath.
Chen Zhao leaned his head against Qin Er’s heaving chest, a totally blank expression on his dazed lips.
Fuck! His first kiss! His first kiss, ahhhh!
Stolen by this old guy!!
“Why did you stick your tongue in…” Chen Zhao was angry enough to strangle him, but he could only pretend to be bashful. Lightly thumping Qin Er’s chest with a tiny fist, he endured the humiliation and said, “Naughty… I wasn’t even prepared.”
Qin Er held him close, his large hand stroking Chen Zhao’s soft waist.
The girl’s lips were so soft, so sweet, the finest delicacy in the world. Qin Er’s voice was low and husky as he murmured into Chen Zhao’s ear, “If I let you prepare, how would I get to see you looking so hopelessly captivated by my kiss?”
Chen Zhao wanted to die.
Hearing Qin Er hint at doing it “one more time,” Chen Zhao immediately leaped back. “No, no, no, that won’t be necessary!”
He smiled coyly. “Brother, you’re way too amazing. You kissed me so hard I couldn’t even catch my breath. Let’s save the next time for later. I’ll definitely go back and work on my lung capacity!”
“Lung capacity,” Qin Er stepped closer and pinched his waist. “We can practice that right now.”
“Brother!” Chen Zhao slithered out of his grip like a cicada shedding its skin. “I’m a bit sleepy, I’m going upstairs! Goodnight!”
With that, he scurried away in quick, tiny steps.
Watching the girl’s flustered, fleeing back, Qin Er narrowed his eyes and wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, it was smeared with the girl’s lipstick.
Chen Zhao rushed into the bathroom and rinsed his mouth vigorously, nearly swallowing his toothpaste in the process.
He flopped onto the bed, kicking and rolling around. “I’m defiled! I’m defiled! I’m defiled!”
He actually… kissed Qin Er!
That old man didn’t even mind saliva! He had really been too careless!
Who knows how many women that mouth of Qin Er’s had kissed!
Clutching his pillow, Chen Zhao frantically wiped his lips with the back of his hand until they turned bright red and his eyes grew teary.
Soft sobs echoed through the room.
Just then, Chen Meng called.
“Little Cousin, what’s wrong?” Chen Meng originally wanted to ask about his progress, but froze when she saw Chen Zhao crying. “Who bullied you? Qin Er?”
“Yeah!” Chen Zhao said furiously.
“That monster! How dare he bully my brother! How did he pick on you? Tell me, and your sis will get payback a thousand times over!”
Chen Zhao bit his lower lip, his nose twitching, looking thoroughly wronged.
Chen Meng asked, “What happened? Did he hit you? Scold you?”
Chen Zhao raised his head and burst out with a loud wail, “He kissed me!!”
Two seconds later, Chen Meng burst out laughing.
“What are you laughing at!” Chen Zhao snapped angrily. “He even used his tongue!”
“Hahaha, don’t say that, if Qin Er found out you were a guy, I wonder what he’d think.”
Chen Meng added, “I really can’t wait to see what happens next!”
Chen Zhao puffed up his cheeks like a blowfish. “You’re still laughing? Stop laughing!”
“Alright, alright, don’t be sad. It couldn’t be helped. You can’t catch a tiger cub without entering the tiger’s lair, and you can’t snare Qin Er without sacrificing your first kiss.”
Chen Zhao buried his face in the blanket, sobbing pathetic woo-woos.
“Though speaking of which,” Chen Meng asked him, “Does the old guy have bad breath?”
Chen Zhao lifted his head, carefully recalled, and blushed slightly. “Doesn’t seem like it.”
Qin Er’s mouth actually smelled quite nice.
“Ah…” Chen Meng blinked. “Looking at it that way, you didn’t really lose out. Dr. Qin is so handsome and rich. Getting a kiss out of it counts as a win.”
“What do you mean a win?!” Chen Zhao barked. “I’m a college guy in the prime of my youth, while that old guy has probably dated countless times. Just thinking about it makes me… ptui, ptui, ptui, blegh!!”
“Alright, alright, just endure a bit more. Don’t forget, Lili has already met his parents. They’re making fast progress, so you’ve got to hurry up and step on the gas.”
Thinking of Lili reminded him of his revenge plan. He had come this far, and the long march was nearly at its end. Chen Zhao couldn’t quit now.
“Got it,” Chen Zhao muttered.
Chen Zhao checked the time, quickly stripped off his clothes, and went to wash up.
Smelling fresh and fragrant after his bath, he began sorting through the things he had bought that day. After a moment’s thought, he picked out the Chanel bag, set up a desk lamp specifically for lighting, and took a photo.
Then he lay back on the bed and opened the WeChat Moments on his alt account.
Mengmeng: [Sigh, what should I do when my brother loves me too much~]
He posted the photo he had taken.
The next morning, when Chen Zhao stepped out, Qin Er had already left for the hospital, leaving behind only breakfast and a note.
“Breakfast is on the table. The housekeeper will come by at noon to make lunch.”
Chen Zhao took a glance, tossed the note into the trash, and sat down to eat. Just as he finished a steamed bun, the housekeeper arrived. Chen Zhao greeted her politely.
Seeing Chen Zhao, the housekeeper smiled. “When Sir mentioned we had a guest at home, I guessed it was his girlfriend. I didn’t expect you to be so pretty!”
Chen Zhao felt a bit shy. “Thank you for the compliment, Auntie.”
He was a bit introverted around strangers. As the housekeeper went to the kitchen to cook, he sat quietly in the dining room finishing his food. After eating, Chen Zhao wandered aimlessly around the villa out of boredom.
It seemed Qin Er rarely stayed at the villa. It was hollow and spacious, with hardly any decorations.
What a waste to buy such an expensive place and not live in it.
Well, since he had already moved in, student Chen Zhao might as well warm up the house for Dr. Qin!
But… he still had a question.
“Auntie!” Chen Zhao ran over to the edge of the kitchen. “Has Dr. Qin ever brought other women here?”
The housekeeper shook her head. “No. I’ve worked here for over a year, and Mr. Qin only comes back to stay occasionally. He’s never brought any other women home.”
Which meant Qin Er had never brought Lili here, he was the first.
Chen Zhao felt smug. It seemed that in Qin Er’s heart, he was more important than Lili, which meant his plan was working.
He walked over to the living room sofa, sat down, and pulled out his phone to message Qin Er.
Wanwan: 【Brother, Auntie is here and making lunch for me. I’m eating soon. Waiting for you to come home~】
QE: 【Anything you want to eat? I’ll buy it on my way back.】
Wanwan: 【I want potato chips, Spicy Prince snacks, sour and spicy chicken feet! And ice cream!】
QE: 【Mm.】
QE: 【None of those are allowed.】
Chen Zhao: Then why did you ask if I can’t eat them?!
Wanwan: 【Why not!】
QE: 【You have stomach issues.】
Wanwan: 【But I really want to eat them… I haven’t had them in so long!】
QE: 【No.】
Chen Zhao was so annoyed he threw his phone aside. “Started dating and already nagging about everything? Old man!”
The housekeeper happened to pass by and burst out laughing upon hearing Chen Zhao’s complaint.
Chen Zhao looked back and asked, “What are you laughing at, Auntie?”
The housekeeper said, “Mr. Qin only acts this way because he cares about you and wants to protect you. If it were anyone else, he wouldn’t bother to care at all.”
Chen Zhao’s face flushed slightly. “He’s a doctor, he acts that way with everyone.”
The housekeeper smiled and shook her head, turning back to her chores without clarifying what she meant.
In the cardiology department office, Qin Er had been busy all day and only now had a spare moment to sip some tea.
Half an hour ago, a newly admitted patient suddenly experienced chest tightness and pain. A CT scan indicated an aortic dissection, so Qin Er immediately contacted surgery for an emergency procedure.
By the time he finished, it was already off duty time. Qin Er took off his white coat and walked toward the elevator. For some reason today, his steps were more hurried than usual. As he reached the stairwell, a familiar voice drifted over.
“Lili, I’m getting off work soon and can come pick you up.” Qin Nan lowered his voice, secretly making a phone call. “You have no idea how much wrong baby suffered today.”
“I just accidentally wrote five hundred milligrams instead of five milligrams on a prescription, and the nurse called to yell her head off at me!”
“Finally made it to the end of the shift. I’m finally free.”
“You didn’t like that last bag? Want a new one? Sure, I’ll buy whatever baby wants.”
Qin Nan blew a few more kisses into the phone and hung up after saying goodbye. Turning around, he was suddenly startled. “Little Uncle?!”
Qin Er looked at him with a cold face. “Find a time to hand in your resignation.”
Qin Nan turned pale. “Little Uncle… I… you heard everything just now?”
Qin Er said indifferently, “Crystal clear.”
The man never blew his top, but simply speaking without expression was enough to terrify anyone.
Qin Nan pleaded, “Little Uncle, I was wrong. Give me one more chance. I’ll definitely work hard this year and pass the certification exam. I really messed up…”
“For the next few days, stay at the hospital,” Qin Er said.
“Ah? You want me to live at the hospital?” Qin Nan asked.
Qin Er replied, “If you don’t want to stay, get lost.”
With that, he stepped into the elevator, leaving Qin Nan wailing in place.
On the drive home, the phone beside him rang continuously, with calls from Qin Nan and messages from Qin Fang.
When the red light turned on and the car came to a stop, Qin Er took a moment to look.
