Old Madam Su’s birthday banquet concluded successfully. Several luxury cars slowly drove away from the Su family villa. Tang Shiyu continued following behind Jiang Chengye, and Wang Xia had no choice but to accompany her.

Jiang Chengye sat in his Lamborghini Reventón while the two women stood outside by his car window.Full novel: After the Villain Finished His Role, the System Eloped with the Heavenly Dao — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jiang Chengye rolled down the window and raised an eyebrow, “Miss Tang, Miss Wang, you’ve been following me all this time. Are you planning to come home with me?”

“In your dreams!” Wang Xia snapped.

“Sure!” Tang Shiyu replied.

Wang Xia immediately realized Jiang Chengye was teasing them again. Tang Shiyu, however, was clearly ready to give herself to him. Wang Xia gave Tang Shiyu a speechless look—her best friend was done for.

“Let’s go, Shiyu!” Wang Xia forcefully dragged her toward the Porsche 211.

Tang Shiyu turned around and gazed at Jiang Chengye with affection in her eyes. She was afraid he’d leave her again. She wasn’t joking—if Jiang Chengye really wanted to take her home, she’d follow without hesitation. But she knew he was just messing with them.

As Wang Xia pulled her away, Jiang Chengye gave a meaningful smile and then drove off from the Su family villa.

He received several calls on the way back—friends asking him to go out for drinks or a night out—but he refused them all.

When he got home, Jiang Zhenhua still hadn’t returned. He was likely still “discussing life” with the parachuted female streamer.

Jiang Chengye headed straight to his room. A wave of loneliness hit him. Every time he returned to this room, he used to talk to the system. But now…

The nine times he went through the plot were still vivid in his memory.

The first time, he didn’t really get into character, bringing too much of his own emotion into it. At the time, he had just transmigrated and become a top wealthy second-generation heir. But he didn’t get arrogant—he never forgot the hardships he endured on Blue Star.

Although he was following the plot, his kindness drove him to do many meaningful things. He built schools, orphanages, nursing homes…

As for the female leads, they were nothing more than paper dolls to him. He didn’t do anything to them. He simply arranged for people to protect them in secret—something the system had instructed him to do to ensure the plot continued smoothly.

After being killed by Ye Chen and forced to restart, Jiang Chengye locked his heart away. No matter what he did, in the end, it all turned to nothing.

So, from the second time onward, his only focus was returning to Blue Star. That was the only reality.

The outcome of Ye Chen in that memory was something Jiang Chengye couldn’t determine as real or fake.

Dragon King Hall was originally a mercenary organization, committing all sorts of atrocities overseas. That was the truth—no mercenary had clean hands. As its Hall Master, Ye Chen appeared normal on the surface, but when he turned ruthless, he was a complete killing demon—he’d wipe out entire families without blinking.

After Ye Chen succeeded in his revenge and brought Dragon King Hall back to the Dragon Nation, it directly caused major upheaval within the country.

“Could it be that this was the result of me going through the plot the first time after transmigrating?” Jiang Chengye muttered, then shook his head. That damn system caused so much trouble even in death. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Lost in thought, Jiang Chengye eventually fell asleep. He was exhausted—too much had happened in just one day.

In his dream, Jiang Chengye saw Little System beside a maid-dressed girl, holding hands and laughing together…

Meanwhile, Ye Chen was walking alone along a desolate road.

He felt cursed. He’d already walked several kilometers and hadn’t seen a single car. He quickly called for backup.

Just then, a horn sounded behind him. A Chery QQ appeared—it was the fool Chen Wu.

Chen Wu had just been happily playing mahjong with his friends when Ye Chen sent a location pin. With no other choice, he tossed his winning hand and rushed over.

Ye Chen sat up straight in the passenger seat.

“Dragon King, why are you out here in the wilderness this late?” Chen Wu asked, puzzled.

Ye Chen himself didn’t know how he ended up here. By all rights, he should still be at the Su family villa!

He cleared his throat and said awkwardly, “I went for a night run and got lost.”

Chen Wu’s face lit up with admiration, “As expected of Dragon King, even your night runs are so classy!”

But internally, he was groaning, [Night run? Are you serious? Wearing a high-end suit and shiny leather shoes, running all the way out to the boonies, then calling me to pick you up? Do I look like Teletubby to you? Easy to fool, huh?]

Ye Chen interrupted, “Enough. Just drive. Take me to the hospital first.”

He held his stomach and spoke calmly.

Chen Wu was stunned. Only then did he notice something was off.

Ye Chen’s back was ramrod straight, and he kept clutching his stomach. Normally, Ye Chen would lean the seat back and relax. This was very unusual. And he wanted to go to the hospital?

Was he pregnant?!

Then again, the odds of Ye Chen being a woman in disguise were pretty low. If he really were a woman, Chen Wu would probably vomit on the spot.

Then Chen Wu noticed something on Ye Chen’s face. Was that… a shoeprint? New chapters come out on g.com first.

Did he smack into someone’s sole during his “night run”?

Ye Chen saw Chen Wu staring blankly at him and grew irritated. “Go. What are you staring at? Do I have a flower on my face?”

Chen Wu pointed at his face and said, “Dragon King, there’s no flower… but there’s a footprint.”

Ye Chen quickly pulled out his phone and checked the front camera. A clear leather shoeprint was stamped right on his face.

No wonder he kept smelling something strange from his nose earlier—it was because of this!

“Ugh! Damn it!” Ye Chen grabbed a tissue and wiped his face, then sniffed it and nearly puked.

He was the dignified Dragon King! And someone had stepped on his face? What the hell happened?

His rage was at its peak now, but he couldn’t remember anything.

Chen Wu swallowed hard. [What kind of twisted fetish is this? Judging by his reaction, that smell must be intense.]

But more importantly—who had the guts to stomp on Ye Chen’s face? That was a blatant slap in the face of Dragon King Hall.

Overseas, if someone merely looked at Ye Chen the wrong way, he’d bury them alive on the spot. Their women, old and young alike, would be taken into his grasp—none could escape.

And now someone had left a shoeprint on his face? Given Ye Chen’s temperament, not even dogs would survive this offense.

“Dragon King, who was it? Who dared step on your face?” Chen Wu asked gravely.

Ye Chen wished he knew. He couldn’t remember a thing. All he knew was that his stomach hurt, his back hurt, and his head hurt!

It felt like he’d been hit by a car.

A bold guess popped into Ye Chen’s head—maybe he really had been knocked out by a car, and the perpetrator dumped him in this godforsaken place while he was unconscious.

That actually seemed plausible.

After all, in Ye Chen’s worldview, anyone who went against him would end up with their family ruined and bloodlines wiped out. And stepping on his face? That would be a total bloodbath.

But now… he couldn’t remember a thing. Who was he supposed to destroy? The air?

He cleared his throat and said awkwardly, “Let’s not talk about that. Just get me to the hospital. My stomach really doesn’t feel right.”

Chen Wu was dumbfounded. Was this still the same Dragon King he knew?

Wasn’t this the moment he should be issuing an order for the 100,000 troops of Dragon King Hall to return to the Dragon Nation and unleash hell?
