Content warnings: Multiple male leads; all the male love interests are sexually inexperienced, eventually become dark, obsessive, unhinged yandere types, and fall in love with the heroine at first sight.
This isn’t a strong-heroine story, but it centers on the heroine and does not torment her. She’s a selfish, spoiled, willful troublemaker of an eldest miss.
There are plenty of male characters. They’re faithful in love but have no morals otherwise. They’re all rabid dogs who lose their minds and resort to coercion when their love isn’t returned.

The Lin family had gone bankrupt.
The once high-and-mighty Eldest Miss Lin had fallen from the clouds overnight.
Countless people who had long coveted Lin Wanfu’s beauty were itching to make a move, hoping to get their hands on her and keep her like a caged canary.
“Fufu, stop packing. Go abroad and find Qin Yi as soon as you can. He’s the only one who can protect you now. There’s five million on this card. Take it.”
The weary-looking man gazed at his silent daughter on the sofa, his unease threatening to overwhelm him.
He had always known his daughter was beautiful—the kind of beautiful people never forgot after seeing her once.
When the Lin family was still powerful, he had never worried that her beauty might bring her disaster.
But now the Lin family was on the brink of collapse, and he had no idea how many people were watching Lin Wanfu, openly or behind the scenes.
A man knew how other men thought. How could he not understand their sordid intentions?
He didn’t want to entrust Fufu to a mercenary who risked his life for a living, but he had no other choice. Qin Yi was the only person he could trust.
“Dad, what about you?” Lin Wanfu looked at the card Father Lin had pressed into her hand, a flicker of complicated emotion crossing her eyes.
This was probably the last of the family’s money.
She understood that Father Lin meant for her to take it and lie low abroad, while he stayed behind to shoulder their enormous debts alone.
“Fufu, be good. Don’t worry about me,” Father Lin said with a bitter smile. “Shen Congyan has returned to the country. When he was down and out, we kicked him while he was down. Now he wields immense power. He definitely won’t let the Lin family off the hook.”
He had never imagined that the Shen family’s second young master, exiled abroad by Old Master Shen three years ago for accidental manslaughter and left to fend for himself, could make such a comeback. Three years later, he had become a rising star in the business world, and even the Shen family couldn’t do anything about him.
The blame for all this lay with the Lin family’s old master. He had insisted on arranging a marriage between his daughter and Shen Congyan, the Shen family’s second young master.
If that engagement hadn’t left Fufu so unhappy, Father Lin would never have offended Shen Congyan by trying to break it off.
“Dad, you don’t know Shen Congyan well enough. He probably prepared for this long ago, in case I tried to run.”
Lin Wanfu bit her rosy-red lip. Her butterfly-wing lashes fluttered, and a pitiful expression appeared on her exquisitely beautiful face, making her seem all the more fragile and appealing.
Shen Congyan had fallen for her when he was a teenager. At first, just as his name suggested, he had done whatever she said.
But gradually, his possessiveness and desire for control had grown stronger and stronger. He was always trying to tell her what she could and couldn’t do.
So even though Shen Congyan was devastatingly handsome, tall and long-legged, broad-shouldered and slim-waisted, and could attract a crowd of admirers wherever he went, she still didn’t like him. She could even say she loathed him.
And yet Shen Congyan was like a piece of sticky candy, clinging to her and refusing to let go. No matter how hard she tried to shake him off, she couldn’t.
No one knew Lin Wanfu better than her father. One look at the subtle changes in her expression told Father Lin she was troubled.
“Fufu, is there something you’re hiding from me?”
“Three years ago, when Shen Congyan was driven out of the Shen family, I teamed up with his older brother, Shen Huaijin, to frame him.”
A trace of pallor crossed Lin Wanfu’s face. Her beautiful peach-blossom eyes, as innocent as a young deer’s, brimmed with helplessness. It was impossible to bring yourself to blame her.
She looked pitiful, but in her heart, she kept blaming Shen Huaijin.
It was all Shen Huaijin’s fault for being so useless. He’d actually let Shen Congyan come back alive from abroad.
If she’d known Shen Huaijin was this incompetent, she would never have agreed to work with him.
Father Lin looked at Lin Wanfu and couldn’t help sighing. What was done was done; there was no point saying more. Besides, he couldn’t bear to speak harshly to his precious girl.
Lin Wanfu tugged at Father Lin’s sleeve, her eyes brimming with tears. “Dad, I’m sorry. I’ve caused you trouble again.”
“Don’t be afraid, Fufu. Listen to me. Stay out of this. Just pretend you know nothing. If you go abroad and find Qin Yi, Shen Congyan won’t dare lay a hand on you.”
Father Lin stroked Lin Wanfu’s head soothingly. She was more precious to him than his own life, and he would never let anyone hurt her, not even a little.
“What a touching scene of father-daughter love.”
A voice dripping with scorn came from the doorway, followed by the sound of leather shoes striking the floor.
A tall man strode toward them, backlit.
He wore a black suit, custom-made by hand, and his shirt was buttoned all the way to the top, every button fastened snugly in place. He radiated an air of chaste restraint.
His face was a masterpiece, almost too beautiful to be real: long, elegant eyes, a high nose, lips neither too thin nor too full. It was as if Heaven had favored him in every way.
But his gaze was cold, making him seem aloof and impossible to approach.
Father Lin instinctively stepped in front of Lin Wanfu to shield her. Frowning, he snapped at the man, “Shen Congyan, this is the Lin family home. How did you get in?!”
Shen Congyan raised an eyebrow. “I’m touched that Uncle Lin still remembers the stray dog you framed.”
His gaze settled on Father Lin and his daughter, as if a venomous snake had fixed its eyes on its prey.
Three years ago, he had loved Lin Wanfu fiercely. Three years later, he hated her just as fiercely.
He had clawed his way out of a pile of corpses to reach his current position, driven by his boundless hatred for her and Shen Huaijin.
Father Lin watched Shen Congyan, whose presence was so intimidating, and his expression grew even more grave.
“I know you resent the Lin family, but Fufu was young back then. It’s only natural she might have been misled by someone with ulterior motives. You can’t lay all the blame at her feet.”
The person he meant by “someone with ulterior motives” was Shen Huaijin.
Only by making the two Shen brothers turn on each other could Father Lin protect his Fufu.
Shen Congyan let out a cold laugh. “Uncle Lin makes it sound so simple. Misled? She personally put the fabricated evidence that I’d killed someone in the safe in my study. That was the clinching proof that I’d committed accidental manslaughter.”
When he was falsely accused of being a murderer, he had suspected everyone around him—everyone except Lin Wanfu.
But the trust he had placed in her had brought him the most devastating blow of all. He had told only Lin Wanfu the combination to the safe in his study, and she was the only one who could come and go from his study as she pleased.
Seeing how unyielding Shen Congyan was, Father Lin knew there was no way to turn things around. “What exactly do you want?”
“What do I want?”
Shen Congyan looked past Father Lin, who was trying to appear calm, at Lin Wanfu standing behind him.
His tone was vicious. “I hear the Lin family is drowning in debt and can’t make ends meet. I’ve always believed in repaying evil with kindness. To thank Eldest Miss Lin for her great favor, I’m willing to pay fifty million for one night with her. If Eldest Miss Lin doesn’t think that’s enough, I can raise the offer.”
He kept calling her Eldest Miss Lin, but there wasn’t an ounce of respect in his words.
Lin Wanfu was used to being the center of attention. There was no way she could tolerate Shen Congyan mocking and humiliating her like this.
Fury surged through her. Without a word, she sprang up from the sofa and slapped Shen Congyan across the face. With an arrogant look, she said, “Shen Congyan, what the hell are you? You think you can swagger around in front of me? Have you forgotten how you used to kneel on the floor and act like my dog?”
Her words cracked through the room like a thunderclap. Shen Congyan’s black-clad bodyguards were so stunned that none of them even noticed their boss had been slapped.
Wait, what? Their boss, who fought like a mad dog, had once been a woman’s dog?
No—were they even supposed to hear this?
Shit, they were going to be silenced by their boss!
Help, nooo…
