Suddenly feeling a surge of crisis, Shen Yan began tentatively asking in a low voice, “Qiao Yu, so which do you think is better, young or mature?”

Qiao Yu’s internal alarm bells instantly went off. Could it be that Shen Yan had already met his white moonlight? As the original host’s senior, he was definitely a bit older than him.

So the male lead was already starting to give him trouble and quietly brainwash him?

Qiao Yu pursed his lips, and after repeatedly pressing his small lip bead, he hesitantly spoke: “Mature?”

Would that suit the CEO’s taste?

With their trains of thought completely misaligned, the two of them somehow managed a conversation on completely different frequencies. Shen Yan noticed Qiao Yu’s hesitation, and his face instantly darkened.

Qiao Yu hesitated! He actually hesitated!

So in his heart, he still thought young male college students were better? He was only holding back from criticizing him because he was here. What was so good about those men who had nothing going for them but youth!

“Is that so? You sure have good taste.”

Even though Shen Yan’s words sounded like a compliment, he was grinding his back teeth so hard they might shatter; anyone could tell something was wrong.

Could it be that he said the white moonlight was old, and the CEO got angry?

Qiao Yu had no idea where he had stepped on Shen Yan’s landmine. He blinked blankly, then tentatively asked back, “Then again, young isn’t so bad, right? At least good stamina.”

At least not like him, spending all day stuck in bed, unable to get up.

If he hadn’t said that, it might have been fine, but once he did, Shen Yan completely exploded. In his mind, only the thought that Qiao Yu had finally told the truth remained.

“You want to love and then desert?”

Qiao Yu: ?

Looking at Shen Yan, who had suddenly gotten angry, Qiao Yu felt he really could not understand this man… cold-shouldering his wife, tormenting heart and body, and then getting together with his wife’s classmate.

So who exactly was loving and then deserting?

“I… when did I?”

Shen Yan had now completely forgotten how he had been so two-faced and unreliable on the wedding night, solemnly swearing with a divorce agreement in hand. He looked at the stunned Qiao Yu and spoke in a slightly gloomy tone.

“Say it.”

Qiao Yu was helpless: “Can you not be so unreasonable?”

Shen, the resentful wife, was shocked.

So now he was the one being unreasonable?

Shen Yan was instantly pissed. When the tip of his tongue pressed against his palate, a thousand ways to be unreasonable and a thousand ways to make Qiao Yu unreasonable flashed through his mind.

But everything got suppressed when he saw Qiao Yu’s hospital gown.

It was the hospital and Qiao Yu’s body that held him back. Otherwise, from the moment Qiao Yu said the first two sentences, he would have made Qiao Yu fully understand the consequences of saying that his husband’s stamina was bad.

If Qiao Yu could know what he was thinking, he would loudly protest his innocence. He was not being sarcastic about Shen Yan; Shen Yan was just projecting himself into it.

Too bad Qiao Yu had no idea about all the twists and turns in Shen Yan’s mind. Instead, he was just relieved that Shen Yan had finally quieted down.

Arguing really was a physical activity; he absolutely would not do it again.

Qiao Yu did not want to argue, and Shen Yan did not want to continue either. After calming down a little, Shen Yan glanced at his wristwatch and said, “Aunt Zhou has made dinner at home. If I don’t go back, I’ll have her bring it over.”

Comparing the CEO’s mansion to the hospital, where lying down was uncomfortable, it was instantly obvious which one he would rather go to.

Qiao Yu instantly came back to life. He tried to sit up but then flopped back down limply. He was a little embarrassed but unwilling to give up.

“Go home. I want to go home.”

Shen Yan did not stop him. He nodded and took out his phone to tell the driver to wait for them at the hospital. Qiao Yu had rushed out in a panic, wearing only a casual outfit to the hospital; the only decent thing was the coat Shen Yan had wrapped around him. Now that he had broken out in a cold sweat and changed into a hospital gown, Shen Yan did not plan to let Qiao Yu change back. He wrapped him in a coat, put on shoes, and carried him out.

Qiao Yu was never one to be shy. Even though there were a lot of people at the hospital, being carried was still better than walking.

Shen Yan’s house was actually quite close to this hospital; no one knew who it was convenient for. The driver drove steadily for over ten minutes, and they arrived home.

Shen Yan did not carry Qiao Yu for the short walk. When they crossed the courtyard, Qiao Yu noticed workers in uniforms passing by, but he had no idea what they were doing.

The moment he stepped inside, however, Qiao Yu instantly understood, because Shen Yan’s home had completely changed. Gone was the oppressive black-white-gray CEO style; the floors of the huge house were almost entirely covered with thick carpet.

Everywhere Qiao Yu looked, it was covered… even the stairs up and down had non-slip padding. The corners with edges were all wrapped in soft cloth. At first glance, it looked comically strange.

Qiao Yu subconsciously stepped back, and his back pressed exactly against Shen Yan’s chest. Shen Yan held his shoulders to steady him.

“What’s wrong?”

Qiao Yu looked up at him, blinking and shaking his head: “It’s changed too much; I barely recognize it.”

Shen Yan did not say anything; he just gently pushed Qiao Yu inside. The carpet was made of some unknown material, but it was warm to walk on and not cold at all. So even though Qiao Yu was not wearing shoes this time, Shen Yan did not frown or look displeased.

“Oh my, stop clinging. Go upstairs and change, then come eat.”

When Aunt Zhou came out carrying a plate, what she saw was Qiao Yu and Shen Yan stuck together, chest to back. She was happy inside, but her words were teasing.

Shen Yan did not argue like before; instead, he nodded and took Qiao Yu’s hand to go upstairs.

Their bedroom had a cloakroom. Qiao Yu had moved in later; his clothes were neatly hung on the other side, looking pitifully sparse compared to Shen Yan’s full wall.

Qiao Yu had no intention of avoiding him, and it was obvious Shen Yan did not either. As soon as he came in, he took off his shirt and grabbed a new one to change into.

Qiao Yu glanced over and almost instinctively sighed in his heart. Even though Shen Yan looked tall and lean, his figure was actually quite impressive.

Six-pack abs, thick arm circumference… much better than Qiao Yu’s own pathetic figure. Watching him, Qiao Yu suddenly felt an urge to touch him.

Fortune, pure white fortune… he was so tempted.

Qiao Yu thought it and did it. Unfortunately, before his hand could land, Shen Yan caught his wrist. When he looked up, he met the man’s half-smiling face.

“Want to touch?”

Qiao Yu blinked and nodded sincerely. He really wanted to touch.

Shen Yan seemed to genuinely think for a second, then lowered his head and whispered softly near Qiao Yu’s ear: “Then it has to be fair.”
