CEO’s Little Wife 25
“Mr. Shen!”
Qiao Yu was truly terrified of having his ear touched, both psychologically and physically. He had never known that the ear he had lost hearing in could react so sensitively.
Shen Yan acted as if he could not hear Qiao Yu calling him at all. He kept tormenting one of Qiao Yu’s ears, from the earlobe to the outer ear, then from the outer ear to the skin behind it, leaving nearly every inch slick with wet shine.
Qiao Yu was completely stunned. He had thought Shen Yan might slap him a few times, kick him a few times, or even hate him so much he would tear him limb from limb. He had never imagined the man would lick his ear.
What kind of new punishment was this? It was maddening.
“One last time. What did I say?”
How the hell was he supposed to know what he had said!
Qiao Yu was almost in tears, bitterly thinking that Shen Yan surely knew by now how badly his brain forgot things the moment he heard them.
“I’ll say it, I’ll say it!”
Even if he could not remember, he could only steel himself and claim that he knew, because Qiao Yu really could not stand the feeling on his ear anymore. He felt like he was going to die.
“At school…” Qiao Yu’s mind went blank. He could not remember a single word Shen Yan had said. He repeated those three words five or six times in his head, but still could not come up with anything coherent.
“At school what?”
Hot breath brushed his ear, making goosebumps rise all over Qiao Yu’s body. He stiffened his toes and blurted out nonsense: “Don’t sleep in class, don’t cause you trouble, and don’t give out your contact info to other people!”
It was complete nonsense. Everything he had said had gone in one ear and out the other. Shen Yan’s expression darkened with every sentence, only softening slightly when he heard the last line.
“Wrong answer. A disobedient kitten has to be punished.”
Shen Yan reached out and touched Qiao Yu’s earlobe, as if there were endless implications in the gesture, and said softly, “But I’ll give you a chance to please me.”
“Think carefully before you answer.”
Shen Yan’s fingers pressed against the spot where the cochlear implant sat, slowly rubbing the exposed device.
Qiao Yu had never hated the fortune constantly surging from Shen Yan’s body so much. If this had been before, when Shen Yan first came to question him, Qiao Yu would have simply fainted on the spot. At worst, they could just kill him outright.
But now, he could not even faint if he wanted to. The fortune around Shen Yan kept his spirits unnaturally high, and his body could not feel the slightest pain or illness.
It was pure torture.
“You… you’re a good person.”
Shen Yan’s gaze froze, and the expression on his face made it obvious: he was not satisfied.
“You… you and Lu Huai look good together. Next time I’ll let you have the sugar cake.”
Shen Yan: ?
“Hopelessly?”
Qiao Yu’s ear was rubbed raw with discomfort. Tears streamed down, soaking his lashes, and big drops rolled from the rims of his eyes all the way to his snow-white, delicate collarbone.
“Bastard, are you a pervert?!”
To vent his anger, Qiao Yu even struggled to lower his head and bite Shen Yan’s fingers, which were resting near his lips. Shen Yan dodged lightly, and he missed, leaving only a rose-red blaze burned into his eyes, glaringly vivid.
“Cursing me and still trying to bite me?” Shen Yan cupped Qiao Yu’s face, but he did not dare kiss him. He was afraid the little kitten would bare its teeth and bite him, and that would be more trouble than it was worth.
“S-sorry…” Qiao Yu felt guilty after cursing. He rubbed against Shen Yan’s fingers in a flattering way, trying to win sympathy with a pitiful display of weakness.
“No random contact info at school, and no eating anything other people give you. I told you these things over and over, and you forgot them all?”
Who knew when you ever said that!
That was what Qiao Yu was thinking, but he really did not dare say it out loud.
“I… I remember. I just didn’t think of it earlier.” When Qiao Yu said that, his whole face was practically written with the word guilty.
“Too late.” Shen Yan slowly lifted his hand and removed Qiao Yu’s cochlear implant. He leaned close to Qiao Yu’s ear, which could now only hear faintly, and said softly, “You missed the best time to please me.”
Qiao Yu had never thought there could be something in this world even more unbearable than being sick. At least when he was sick, he could still faint. But with Shen Yan, he could not even manage that.
It felt as if he were a leaking bottle and Shen Yan was a faucet constantly pouring water into it. Every time Qiao Yu could not take it anymore and wanted to crawl away or pass out, the endless fortune flowing from Shen Yan would reignite his energy.
Torture!
Shen Yan seemed unable to hold himself back as well. He clearly knew Qiao Yu could not hear anything right now, but he kept stubbornly saying things anyway. His mouth was not shaping the words clearly enough for Qiao Yu to guess at all.
Please…
Qiao Yu’s eye rims were soaked through with tears. Through his blurred vision, he could not make out Shen Yan’s sweat-damp silhouette. He could only rely on instinct to sense everything from the outside world.
When Shen Yan’s lips moved slightly, Qiao Yu seemed to understand something, as if he had grabbed a lifeline, and repeated it with the loudest voice he could muster.
“I love you… Mr. Shen… I love you.”
All sensation on his body seemed to stop at that instant. Shen Yan’s movements halted too, and in the dim light he slowly lifted his eyes toward him.
Qiao Yu could not see what he was saying. He only knew that after he had said those words, Shen Yan seemed to have let him off.
The tears at the corner of his eyes were gently wiped away. Shen Yan pushed himself up a little, grabbed Qiao Yu’s thigh, and tugged him downward.
Qiao Yu looked startled. He quickly reached out to grab Shen Yan’s hand and repeated in a soft, pleasing voice, “Really, I really love you.”
Sure enough, Shen Yan stopped again. His expression even took on a hint of scrutiny. After a long while, he sighed helplessly.
“So this is how you use ‘love me.'”
Shen Yan did not let him go. When he leaned down, he did some things that Tomato would not allow to be written.
The people have faith, the nation has hope.
Trying to write smut on Tomato? Don’t even think about it.
Lights out.
…
In the end, Shen Yan still could not bear to go too hard on Qiao Yu, and he stopped after just one round. Even so, by the time they had rested and woken up, it was already almost midnight.
Shen Yan had not really slept much. His stamina was better than Qiao Yu’s by who knew how much; a few hours of cardio was nothing to him. He had merely stayed there with Qiao Yu while he rested.
From afternoon to night, and then from night to the early hours of morning, neither of them had eaten. Shen Yan was not very hungry, but he was worried Qiao Yu’s stomach would not be able to take it. Looking back on it, he still regretted not holding back and waiting until after dinner to settle the score.
“Little Fish.”
The boy in his arms still had faint tear tracks at the corners of his eyes even while sleeping. The blanket was pulled up to his shoulders, but the snow-white neck exposed below was covered in red marks full of desire.
“Mm…”
Qiao Yu really was exhausted. Shen Yan called for him half the day, and all he got in return was the boy’s faint, muffled whimper. Even so, Shen Yan could not just let him keep sleeping like this without restraint.
“Eat something first, then sleep, okay?”
Shen Yan put the external processor of the cochlear implant back on him, grabbed a brand-new bathrobe from the side, and wrapped it around Qiao Yu in one go. After making sure the belt was fastened, he carried him slowly downstairs.
