About half an hour after the meal, a message popped up on Lu Xiaoxiao’s game interface—

【Are you there?】

……What did Zhong Jichen want with her?Full novel: After Transmigrating as a Supporting Female Character, I Was Targeted by a Big Shot — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

【What.】

【Come out and play golf.】

【Uh… not going.】

What was fun about golf anyway…

Zhong Jichen thought of the condition Qin Jindu had offered.

【Come on, you won’t have to pay for the jacket anymore.】

【Really?!】

【Mm-hm, but I suggest you bring someone, or you’ll be awkward.】 It would be best to bring Bai Shusu…

Lu Xiaoxiao’s eyelid twitched. She glanced at Bai Shusu, who was watching a variety show. That intention was way too obvious.

【Mm… got it.】

Zhong Jichen hadn’t expected her to be so quick to understand. He sent her the location for her to come over later.

Lu Xiaoxiao looked at the person laughing happily on the sofa. Su Su, don’t blame me… in this day and age, everyone is forced by circumstances…

She poked Bai Shusu with her finger. Bai Shusu turned her head.

“What’s wrong?”

“Uh… my friend opened a golf course. Come with me to take a look?”

Her eyes darted away, her tone unsteady.

Bai Shusu stared at her. “You didn’t secretly do something behind my back, did you?”

“No… of course not.”

Bai Shusu agreed. She also hadn’t played golf in a long time—she had actually been quite skilled in the modern world. Countless handsome young men had once fallen beneath her charm.

When they stepped into the golf course, someone at the entrance led them to change clothes. Bai Shusu rarely wore sporty outfits; the fitted short-sleeve top highlighted her slim waist, and her hair was tied into a ponytail. Her face was delicate and fair, her makeup exquisite. The ultra-short pleated skirt revealed her long legs, and her leg lines immediately caught attention.

Even Lu Xiaoxiao was stunned. Truly the kind of beauty that made men delighted and women jealous.

Such an eye-catching person appeared on the course and was instantly locked onto.

“Hey! Over here!”

When Bai Shusu saw the man’s face, she finally realized she had been sold out…

“Hehe…” Lu Xiaoxiao smiled ingratiatingly at her.

Bai Shusu’s gaze could kill.

With no room to resist, she was pulled by Lu Xiaoxiao over and made to sit in front of the men.

The golf course was vast, its grass meticulously trimmed, stretching far beyond sight.

Zhong Jichen handed her a glass of mango juice. She looked at Qin Jindu. Without a suit, even in sportswear, his presence remained overwhelming—his nose bridge was sharp, his thin lips slightly pressed, his facial features strikingly defined and perfect. Every time Bai Shusu saw him, she would lose focus for a moment…

“Change this one. Su Su is allergic to mango.” Lu Xiaoxiao said as she sat beside her.

The drink was replaced. The man’s hand holding the glass was well-defined and elegant. When Bai Shusu’s fingers brushed his, it felt as if beads had fallen inside her heart, crackling and scattering everywhere.

She quickly took it, forcing a smile.

“Thank you…”

Qin Jindu liked her expression very much and leaned back lazily in his chair.

Lu Xiaoxiao watched from the side with an auntie-like grin…

This was getting a bit too shippable.

Lin Han was also there. The sun was a bit strong, so they rested under a tent. Qin Jindu and the others played not far away. Standing at the tee, the man’s posture was tall and steady. Zhong Jichen had once mentioned that he had won a major championship at twelve.

He had been trained as an heir since childhood and had accumulated countless awards.

He held the golf club, which gleamed coldly under the sunlight. His eyes were fixed forward, sharply locking onto the target in the distance, muscles tensed and fluid.

He swung.

A beautiful arc—clean and precise—and the ball went in.

Sunlight fell across his profile, and a faint smile lingered beneath his thin lips.

Bai Shusu had no romantic experience, yet at that moment, she truly felt her heart stir.

At times, she even felt he was not merely a character from a novel, but a living, breathing person.

While she was still immersed in that feeling, someone interrupted her.

“Isn’t this Miss Bai?”

It was Zhao Yue from Cong Shuang’s side, along with Lu Qinghe and Qin Yunshen.

It was truly a full lineup.

After the charity gala incident, Cong Shuang had successfully taken a mentor and gained many fans online. Lu Qinghe was also a painter with a large following. For some reason, the two of them had clashed online over an art exhibition. They had agreed to settle it at the golf course—whoever won would take over the gallery.

Bai Shusu hadn’t expected such a coincidence.

Lu Xiaoxiao stood up. “What do you want?”

Cong Shuang, holding Qin Yunshen’s arm, smiled gently.

“Since we’ve coincidentally met Miss Bai, why not have Miss Bai be our witness?”

Bai Shusu frowned. What was this about?

Cong Shuang had originally wanted Lu Qinghe to make a fool of herself, but adding Bai Shusu now wasn’t bad either. She wanted them to understand her excellence—only she was truly worthy of Yunshen.

“No. Who knows what you’re planning.”

The golf course manager arrived and apologized to everyone.

“I’m sorry, everyone. The course is not open to the public today. Please move elsewhere.”

Seeing Qin Yunshen deflate a little gave Bai Shusu a faint sense of satisfaction.

She already knew this place had been booked by Qin Jindu.

“How is this possible?” Cong Shuang’s expression changed. She had confidently chosen the best venue to defeat Lu Qinghe.

Lu Qinghe let out a soft laugh.

“Trash.”

The manager bowed again. “Please move, everyone.”

When Qin Yunshen saw Qin Jindu the next second, his eyes widened in shock.

Why was his uncle here?!

After a moment of silence, he said, “Let’s go.”

Cong Shuang was also stunned. Even Yunshen wouldn’t help her. The moment she saw that man, she understood everything.

Qin Yunshen would never dare disobey him.

Then why could Bai Shusu stay here?

“So why can they stay here?!”

Lu Xiaoxiao smiled, genuinely enjoying the moment.

“Because we came with that person.”

Qin Jindu… was actually involved with Bai Shusu?!

“How is that possible?!” Zhao Yue exclaimed in shock.

The commotion grew louder, and Qin Jindu noticed it, glancing over.

Qin Yunshen feared his uncle would blame him and quickly pulled Cong Shuang away.

“Forget it, Shuangshuang, let’s go. Any golf course is the same.”

No matter how unwilling she was, she still swallowed her anger.

As they were leaving, Lu Qinghe turned back.

“Bai Shusu, come take a look. Don’t you want to see how I beat her?”

Bai Shusu hadn’t expected the invitation. She did want to watch—and she also wanted to verify whether the plot would be affected.

“Alright.”

She stood up and told them to go ahead first; she would arrive later.

Cong Shuang curled her lips into a smile. No venue? She would still win anyway.

After they left, Qin Jindu and the others approached.

A towel was draped over his shoulder. Zhong Jichen took a sip of water.

“What happened?”

Bai Shusu shook her head. Lu Xiaoxiao held her arm, worried.

“Su Su, are you really going?”

She nodded and briefly explained what had just happened.

“You guys play first. Xiaoxiao and I will go and come back soon.”

Just as she turned to leave, Qin Jindu grabbed her wrist. His palm carried a thin layer of sweat, and she clearly smelled the faint sandalwood scent on him.

When she turned back to meet his gaze, his voice was low and deep.

“Come back early.”

A sudden moment of unease rose in her heart.
