The sponsorship agreement was remarkably simple.
Zhong Ying had grabbed a random sheet of A4 paper and began writing briskly. Standing beside her, Zhu Xingtong craned her neck, wishing she had an extra pair of eyes to see better.
As a shareholder of Starwood Entertainment, Zhu Xingtong shall sponsor Zhong Ying to sign an ‘S-Class Contract’ with the company and provide long-term housing. During the effective period of this agreement, Zhong Ying must produce corresponding milestone achievements. Otherwise, the agreement will be terminated; Zhu Xingtong reserves the right to revoke the S-Class Contract at any time without paying any liquidation damages.
The first point was standard enough.
“Why ‘long-term housing’? Where are you living now?” Zhu Xingtong asked, blinking.
“A rented apartment,” Zhong Ying replied matter-of-factly. “Because of work, I’m rarely home, so I never bothered to buy a house.”
As the beneficiary, Zhong Ying shall be responsible for Zhu Xingtong’s three daily meals and her physical health and exercise (excluding working hours).
“Wait, why is physical health and exercise in here…” Zhu Xingtong was bewildered. Meals and exercise? Was she expected to hit the gym, too?
“You need to work on your fitness.”
Zhu Xingtong: “…” She just wanted to be a happy couch potato.
Both parties shall not engage in any actual sexual relations. It must be strictly understood that sharing a bed is purely for accompaniment during sleep.
“I will be strictly self-disciplined!” Zhu Xingtong promised, pumping a fist. Then she paused. “Do you… suffer from poor sleep?”
“Yes, sometimes.”
(To be supplemented)
Looking at those last few words, Zhu Xingtong felt things weren’t as simple as they seemed. “Um… do I have the right to add supplements too?”
“You do,” Zhong Ying smiled. “After all, you are the ‘Sugar Mommy’ here. And as the patron, you really should show a bit more boldness.”
“But I can’t beat you in a fight,” Zhu Xingtong pouted.
“Do you really think I would hit you?”
“Well, no.” Zhu Xingtong looked puzzled. “But what about your twenty million? Long Ze promised you twenty million a month.” There were no clauses regarding money in this agreement.
Zhong Ying shook her head. “I have no need for money at the moment. The expenses required for an artist are clearly detailed in Starwood’s S-Class contract—the company will cover everything.”
She fully intended to sign the professional contract with Starwood, but as for this agreement with Zhu Xingtong… judging by the way it was handwritten, it felt like child’s play.
For some reason, Zhong Ying felt that she and Zhu Xingtong had clicked from the very first moment they met. In all these years, she’d had almost no close friends; she hadn’t expected to become this intimate with someone she’d only known for a few days.
I’ll just treat it like playing house with a child, Zhong Ying thought as she watched Zhu Xingtong, who was unable to hide her joy while holding the paper.
That afternoon, Zhong Ying went to Starwood Entertainment in person to handle the signing. She had expected Long Ze to make things difficult for her, but the process was surprisingly smooth.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to kick you out,” Long Ze said, crossing his legs with a shrewd expression. “Now that you’ve signed an S-Class contract, I’m counting on you to make money for me. That previous ‘private agreement’ was rash of me; I owe you an apology.”
“It’s fine. I was also quite rude to you, President Long.”
Long Ze stood up and extended his hand. “Welcome to Starwood Entertainment. I look forward to a successful partnership.”
Zhong Ying followed suit and shook his hand. “I look forward to it as well.”
