The WeChat message sent to Tang Yu was from Qin Zhan.

[Qin Zhan: Our mom’s holding a birthday party next weekend. Are you coming?]

[Qin Zhan: Grandma misses you a lot, and so does Ms. Wan.]

Staring at the reply on his screen, Tang Yu brought up his keyboard several times, only to delete what he typed.

Grandma Qin had always been wonderful to him, regardless of whether she knew about the baby swap incident involving him and Qin Zhan.

As for Ms. Wan… Tang Yu instinctively didn’t want anything to do with her.

He couldn’t just act like he hadn’t heard those cold, hurtful words she said back at the Qin household, nor could he simply forget them.

To her, he was just “that kind of child.” So why was she suddenly putting on an act and claiming she missed him now that she knew his true identity?

Tang Yu genuinely didn’t know what she was after.

Blood relations?

Or was she just playing the family card because Grandma Qin wanted to recognize him?

Besides, family isn’t strictly defined by blood! He already had the best parents in the world.

Seeming to notice his hesitation, Bai Yuenian offered a suggestion: “If you don’t feel like replying, don’t force yourself. Just pretend you didn’t see it.”

Tang Yu: “You’re right!”

Tang Yu clicked into Qin Zhan’s profile, scrolled down, and hit “Add to Blocklist.” Done.

Beside him, Bai Yue’nian’s grip on his pen tightened slightly. Blocked just like that? The kid had quite a temper…he’d have to be extra careful in the future.

On the other side of the city, Qin Zhan had just typed out another message: [Besides, I think Ms. Wan’s state of mind has been a bit off lately.]

He tapped send.

Simultaneously, a prompt popped up: [Message sent, but rejected by the recipient.]

Qin Zhan: “…”

After that little episode, Tang Yu was no longer in the mood to beat around the bush. He asked directly, “Yesterday after I got drunk, I didn’t say anything weird, right?”

Seeing Bai Yuenian shake his head, Tang Yu let out a sigh of relief.

Then Bai Yuenian added, “Your teeth are pretty sharp, though.”

Tang Yu: (っ°Д °)っ!

What does that mean?!

Did I bite him? Where did I bite him?!

Tang Yu’s eyes darted frantically all over Bai Yue’nian…his hands, his arms, all clean.

His face had no incriminating evidence either.

So where did he bite him? Or did he just not bite hard enough to leave a mark?

Right then, Bai Yuenian turned slightly and cleared his throat.

Only now did Tang Yu notice a small skin-toned bandage stuck to the side of Bai Yuenian’s Adam’s apple.

That spot?! What kind of position would I even have to be in to bite him there?!

He must have been leaning on his shoulder, face pressed against Bai Yuenian’s chin, tilting his head slightly, and then… biting down…

Tang Yu visualized the scene in his head and instantly shuddered.

Could it be… that after getting drunk, he lost control and got possessed by his inner throat-latch-fetishist self?

And he actually molested Bai Yuenian?!

Were his teeth really that sharp? Did it actually leave a mark on Bai Yue’nian?

He’s wearing a bandage! There’s definitely a mark under there!

If anyone had bitten him there, Tang Yu would have given them a firsthand demonstration of school violence.

Bai Yuenian really had an insanely good temper. To be bitten like that and still give him a ride home instead of dumping him under a bridge?

With a face flushing bright red, Tang Yu said sheepishly, “You really have a great temper, huh? Getting bitten like that and still driving the culprit home instead of making them sleep under an overpass?”

For some reason, Bai Yue’nian’s expression suddenly went cold enough to drop icicles.

With an indifferent look, Bai Yuenian murmured, “Didn’t pass any overpasses on the way.”

Tang Yu: “…”

He burst out laughing.

If anyone else had replied like that, Tang Yu would’ve definitely thought they were being a sarcastic smart-aleck.

But coming from Bai Yue’nian? What kind of top-tier nerd was this guy? Taking his rhetorical question so literally?

It was actually kind of cute.

However, come Monday, things took a turn.

Tang Yu woke up late today and missed his ride in Bai Yuenian’s car. He ended up arriving at school right on the bell alongside Wu Jianqi.

Since Wu Jianqi hadn’t done his math homework, he tried to borrow Bai Yue’nian’s completed assignment to copy off it.

Remembering his grudge against “Mr. Minus Two,” Tang Yu snatched the math homework right out of Bai Yue’nian’s hands before Wu Jianqi could grab it, leaving him empty-handed.

Wu Jianqi turned around to ask someone else, but just then, Ms. Min walked in to hand out morning study quiz papers. He didn’t get a chance to copy a single line.

As a result, Wu Jianqi spent the entire first math period standing out in the hallway.

Tang Yu looked at Wu Jianqi through the window and cracked his knuckles with a satisfying pop.

Ah, sweet vengeance!

As soon as class ended, Wu Jianqi dashed back to his seat, tearing at a small pre-packaged bread roll. “I didn’t even get to eat breakfast this morning, and I got made to stand in the hall!”

The jagged edge of the wrapper was stubborn. He yanked at it for a bit, but it wouldn’t open.

With a sudden burst of force, the bag finally tore open…sending the bread flying straight into the trash can.

Wu Jianqi was stunned. “Even a piece of bread is bullying me! Why is my life so miserable?!”

Seeing him in such a pathetic state made Tang Yu thoroughly pleased. He pulled a bag of snacks out from his desk.

Snap! He bit the package open with his teeth. “Here, eat this!”

Just then, Bai Yue’nian passed by the back door, tossing out a breeze-light remark: “Teeth are still pretty sharp.”

Tang Yu: “…”

That sounds familiar… Where have I heard that before?

Wu Jianqi looked back and forth between the two. “Is God Yue talking to you? Wait, why is God Yue wearing the autumn uniform when it’s over twenty degrees out? And why is his collar popped so high?”

Right! Now he remembered! That was what Bai Yuenian said when he found out he had bitten him there.

Tang Yu instantly snatched the snack back from Wu Jianqi’s hands.

Wu Jianqi: “…”

At lunchtime, Tang Yu and Xie Tianyi managed to snag the sweet and sour pork ribs at the cafeteria, devouring them with absolute relish.

As Xie Tianyi chewed, he suddenly paused.

Tang Yu asked, “What’s wrong?”

Xie Tianyi: “Nothing, just got jabbed by a bone fragment.”

“Serves you right! Who told you to be so greedy and eat so fast?” But no sooner had Tang Yu said it than his own tooth got jabbed too.

He winced, clutching his cheek with a sharp gasp.

Bai Yue’nian, who had arrived at the cafeteria later, walked past them carrying his food tray. “Teeth giving you trouble now?”

Tang Yu: “…”

Something’s wrong! Why is Bai Yuenian being so weird all of a sudden? Why does he keep bringing up teeth?

Was he actually mad about getting bitten? But his attitude didn’t seem angry at all. If he was mad, why didn’t he show it back then?

Tang Yu had a sneaking suspicion that Bai Yuenian was just trying to tease or remind him of something.

During afternoon PE class, Tang Yu snuck over the wall as usual to head to the internet cafe to play a few rounds of games.

When his head popped over the wall on his way back, he ran straight into Bai Yue’nian.

Talk about bad luck!

Since the guy was acting strange today, Tang Yu didn’t want to talk to him.

So, like a Whack-a-Mole, he lowered his head back down behind the wall, turned around, dropped to the ground, and chose another spot to climb up.

Tang Yu clapped the dust off his hands and headed toward the classroom building, completely ignoring the person walking right alongside him.

Just as he was about to cut through the campus garden, he caught Bai Yuenian parting his lips out of the corner of his eye.

Instinctively, Tang Yu blurted out, “Shut up! If you mention that again, I’ll knock your teeth out!”

Bai Yuenian obediently closed his mouth, but then pointed off to the side.

Tang Yu looked in the direction he was pointing, and his hair practically stood on end from shock.

Why the heck was Director Liu Ziyue in the garden?!

Seeing Liu Ziyue’s figure drawing closer inside the garden, Tang Yu spun around to take a detour.

But as luck would have it, someone suddenly called out his name: “Tang Yu!”

Tang Yu: “…”

He Cheng, you bastard, you really are my nemesis from a past life!

He Cheng had originally wanted to talk to Tang Yu about what happened on sports day. When he arrived at class today, he heard that several of his close buddies were filling out withdrawal forms.

Upon asking around, he was thoroughly spooked. He hadn’t realized those guys’ usual antics had gone way too far this time…they had actually played a prank on Class 1’s homeroom teacher.

Unsure of what to say, he gave each of them a beating first.

Still, they had been brothers for a long time.

In the end, as they hugged it out with bruised and battered faces, his buddies warned him that Bai Yuenian was way too sly and told him to be extra careful.

He Cheng hadn’t expected Tang Yu to bolt the moment he called out to him…and to make matters worse, Bai Yuenian was running away holding Tang Yu’s hand!

He had no choice but to chase after them.

Unexpectedly, as he gave chase, another familiar voice boomed from behind.

Liu Ziyue had originally been lurking in the garden to catch students dating. He had already caught three couples during this PE period alone.

He never expected to hear someone shout Tang Yu’s name here. What was Tang Yu doing here? Could he be dating too?

Liu Ziyue had severe astigmatism and wasn’t wearing his glasses today, so he couldn’t see clearly into the distance. He could only vaguely make out two figures, one tall and one short.

As he gave chase, he shouted at the top of his lungs, “Tang Yu, stop right there! Running the moment you see me? Are you dating?! Still holding hands with your partner?! Do you think I’m invisible?!”

He Cheng’s jaw dropped in windblown shock. “Partner?!”

With Bai Yuenian?!

Upstairs, Qin Zhan, who was leaning against a window reciting vocabulary words, heard it too. The shock made his hand jerk, tearing a page right out of his vocabulary booklet.

Are Tang Yu and Bai Yuenian actually together?!

The campus garden was famous at Real High for being the go-to spot for teenage romance.

At this moment, Liu Ziyue stared at the crowd he had rounded up.

“You two…the one from Class 3 and the one from Class 8…this is your second time, isn’t it?!”

The young boy and girl quietly lowered their heads, not daring to speak.

“And you two! Don’t let me catch you a next time!”

“And what about you guys? Class 10 newcomers?”

The boy wasn’t scared at all. He raised his head to look at Liu Ziyue. “Newcomers! We just haven’t proposed yet!”

The girl’s face flushed bright red.

Liu Ziyue: “Oh, you think you’re real funny, huh? 3,000-word reflection essay, hand it to me tomorrow morning!”

Finally, he turned toward Tang Yu. “And what’s going on with you?”

He glanced at Bai Yuenian and He Cheng standing on either side of Tang Yu. “A three way romance is a bit crowded, don’t you think? Can you handle that?”

Who knew Old Man Ziyue had such a wild imagination despite his age?

Tang Yu pouted, not giving a damn.

However, someone did care. Bai Yuenian pulled Tang Yu away from He Cheng and declared calmly, “Director Liu, there’s no third person. It’s just the two of us.”

Everyone present: “!!!”

He Cheng: ???

Tang Yu: “……………………….”

Wu Jianqi, the sports rep who just happened to pass by carrying sports equipment: Look what he just stumbled upon!

This is a live official announcement!
