After enjoying a satisfying meal at home, Che Xiayun headed to her evening self-study session. She spent the entire night searching:
[How can an alpha protect themselves when living with a beautiful but potentially perverted omega?]
[What usually happens before a wife suddenly says she wants to dig out her own scent gland to feed bugs?]
[Is it really as comfortable as rumors say for an alpha to be topped by an omega?]
For the first question, she couldn’t find any answers after searching for a long time, so she anonymously posted a query. A bunch of alphas with certain letter-related preferences lectured her and gave her a highly unreliable answer: [The best protection is to just enjoy it.]
For the second question, she also found no answers and posted another anonymous thread. This time, many people enthusiastically responded. After reading the comments, Che Xiayun summarized the most frequent answer: [When an alpha uses their wife’s money to support a mistress and flaunts the affair in front of her, such an alpha’s scent gland might as well be discarded.]
This answer appeared most often, but it held no reference value for her because she had already done exactly that just last night and her scent gland was still perfectly intact.
However, after giving it some thought, Che Xiayun decided she should still be cautious. After all, her fair and tender scent gland was genuinely at risk.
For the third question, she found plenty of information online. The comments were numerous, and aside from some sarcastic remarks from those who had no experience, the rest were overwhelmingly positive, praising omegas for being both skilled and gentle, describing it as an ultimate pleasure.
Che Xiayun was almost tempted by the descriptions and even considered finding a gentle omega sister for a one-night stand at the bar later. But then she thought about her age and held back.
When evening self-study ended, Driver Zhang was waiting at the school gate as usual. She got into the back seat and instructed, “Take me to Missfree Bar.”
Driver Zhang remained expressionless and didn’t ask any questions, only saying, “The master once reminded me that after you have a family, you cannot stay out overnight unless it’s for business. So, I will pick you up at midnight.”
Che Xiayun nodded. “I remember. Father said family comes first.”
Driver Zhang acknowledged her response and started driving toward the bar.
Evening self-study at Shengzhe High School ended at 9 p.m. It took a few minutes to walk from the classroom to the school gate, and they arrived at Missfree Bar at 9:33 p.m. Jiang Shuai was already waiting at the entrance.
Only when Che Xiayun saw Jiang Shuai’s outfit did she realize she was still in her school uniform, which was completely out of place in the flashy, vibrant bar. She took off her uniform blazer, tie, and vest, leaving them in the car, then loosened the top button of her shirt and rolled up her sleeves. Now she looked a bit more casual.
Jiang Shuai, hands in her pockets, whistled and said, “Tsk, a city office worker after a long day? I bet a lot of sisters will be into you.”
Che Xiayun gave her a light shove. “Enough, let’s go in.”
The two walked in one after the other, passing through security and a corridor lit with red lights before reaching the real venue for the night, a bar filled with pop music and colorful lights.
At this hour, the bar had just opened, and there were very few people. A handful of atmosphere dancers were scattered around, awkwardly moving to the music.
They chose an upscale electronic music bar with limited seating but spacious and clean. No one was smoking, though some atomized air freshener had been sprayed, which, combined with the lighting, created a rather atmospheric vibe.
Jiang Shuai called the bartender and ordered two cocktails. Worried that Che Xiayun might think she was being stingy, she explained, “We’re early, so let’s have some drinks first. We can switch to alcohol when more people arrive.”
Che Xiayun nodded, pulled out her phone, and opened a popular MOBA game. “Want to play a couple of rounds?”
Jiang Shuai glanced at her screen and agreed happily, “Sure.”
They started a ranked match. To be honest, the original owner’s rank in this game had given Che Xiayun quite a shock. How could someone as unskilled as her dare to play ranked with a “Supreme King” account? If it weren’t for the original owner’s memories and some lingering instincts, she wouldn’t have dared to queue up, afraid of being flamed by her teammates.
Jiang Shuai played the AD carry role. Che Xiayun had initially wanted to pick an assassin to dominate the game, but someone else took it, leaving her with the support role.
Frowning, she spent a long time deliberating before finally selecting Shield Mountain.
Jiang Shuai cheerfully equipped her hero with a fancy skin. “Support is great too, the soul of the team. Not like me, so fragile I die in one hit.”
Che Xiayun shot her a glance. “Hah, go ahead and shine on your own then.”
Jiang Shuai quickly backed down. “No, no, supports are the real MVPs. You have to protect me.”
The game began. Che Xiayun gave a brief acknowledgment and focused intently on her screen. High-ranked players were indeed more aware, making the gameplay much smoother and less frustrating.
As they got into the game, they grew more excited, fully immersed in the matches. After two rounds, it was already 10:30 PM. The bar was gradually filling up, so they put their phones away and ordered two bottles of whiskey.
By 11 PM, all the seats were taken. A dozen or so people were already dancing in the club, and the music grew increasingly intense. Many stood up, swaying to the beat.
Thanks to their striking looks, the two attracted quite a few omegas lingering nearby. Che Xiayun felt unnerved under the older women’s gazes, as if their eyes were stripping her clothes away layer by layer. It was terrifying, so she kept her head down and focused on drinking. Fortunately, she had a decent tolerance and wasn’t likely to get drunk quickly.
Jiang Shuai, on the other hand, was much bolder. When the older omega women winked at her, she blew kisses back, handling the attention with ease. Soon, two women sat down beside her, striking up a conversation.
One of them, with a sharp chin, large eyes, and a curvaceous figure, reached out and touched Jiang Shuai’s cheek teasingly. “Little girl, are you even of age? You look so young.”
Jiang Shuai grabbed her hand playfully. “I’m not telling.”
The other woman, dressed provocatively with blonde hair and a mixed-race appearance, sat beside Jiang Shuai but seemed more interested in Che Xiayun, who was still drinking with her head down.
Jiang Shuai nudged Che Xiayun and glanced meaningfully at the mixed-race woman, her tone tinged with exasperation. “Say something, will you? Don’t look like everyone owes you money.”
Che Xiayun looked up at the two omegas and one alpha in front of her, offering a faint smile as she glanced at Jiang Shuai. “I’m the same as her.”
The curvaceous mixed-race woman chuckled softly and sat down beside her, her pliant hip brushing against Che Xiayun’s thigh as she hinted, “There’s a lot you can do in a bar.”
Che Xiayun awkwardly shifted her leg away, but the mixed-race woman just smiled and draped her arm over her shoulder, the soft, warm curve of her chest pressing against Che Xiayun’s arm. Che Xiayun swallowed hard, forcing herself to stay composed while frantically reminding herself, I’m a wealthy young master who keeps a whole football team of seductive foxes, how can I falter in such a minor situation?
Seeing her rigid posture, Jiang Shuai couldn’t help but laugh. “Why don’t you go dance with her in the dance floor? Sitting here isn’t any fun.”
Che Xiayun quickly stood up. “Yeah, I’ll go dance for a bit.”
The closer she got to the DJ, the more crowded it became. Though everyone was packed together, they moved rhythmically and orderly to the beat, the lights shifting constantly. Before Che Xiayun could even start dancing, several women had already surrounded her, pressing close and taking liberties some even grabbing her hand. “Little sister, let me teach you how to dance,” one offered.
Che Xiayun stammered, pointing at the mixed-race woman, “I came here to dance with her.”
The mixed-race woman’s smile widened as she pulled Che Xiayun in front of her, staking her claim. “She’s mine.”
The crowd of unattached omega women around them wasn’t having it, though, and they swarmed Che Xiayun. “As long as she’s in the bar, she’s fair game!”
Amid the sea of admirers, the flustered Che Xiayun looked utterly bewildered, being manhandled by the group of women. Though surrounded by sweet, soft girls, she felt so violated by their groping that she wished she could just disappear.
Nearby, in a booth, a woman with an extraordinary aura, wearing sunglasses, took out her phone and snapped a picture of Che Xiayun, sending it to her best friend: 【This little alpha is so good-looking and seems really innocent totally your type, girl. [Image]】
Ma Qingyu, who had just returned home and was about to take a shower, glanced at the notification without any change in expression. She didn’t even open the image before replying, 【What high-quality alpha could possibly be found in a bar?】
Wei Ziyue received the new message, thought for a moment, then raised her phone, zooming in on Che Xiayun’s handsome face and the disheveled collar of her shirt. She snapped another photo and sent it over: 【Seriously, take a look. She’s super handsome her features are to die for. If she debuted, she’d outshine all the popular young idols.】
Ma Qingyu glimpsed her phone screen lighting up again but chose to ignore it for the time being. She paid no mind to her infatuated friend’s recommendations she’d been recommended too many so-called “hot alphas,” some of whom were downright unattractive.
I’ll check it after my shower, she thought.
She brushed her hair back and stepped leisurely into the bathroom, slipping off her clothes with a light flick of her fingers, revealing skin as fair and smooth as mutton-fat jade. Sinking comfortably into the bathtub, she half-closed her eyes, enjoying the soak as steam swirled around, veiling her curvaceous figure.
About ten minutes later, Ma Qingyu rose from the bath, wrapped herself in a towel, and felt her eyelids twitching uncontrollably. A strange, inexplicable feeling nagged at her, a sense that she’d regret not looking at that photo.
But what could a single photo possibly make her regret?
