“You’re asking for death.”

Brother Wang hadn’t expected to be looked down on by a little brat.

Ignoring the low-pressure aura radiating from Ji Heng, he swung his fists, creating a gust of wind aimed at Ji Tianyi’s face.Full novel: After Transmigration, I Became a Babysitter for a Big Shot in the Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Seeing the opponent strike at him, Ji Tianyi didn’t hold back either. With a point of his finger, he sent a fireball flying.

Brother Wang was startled by the sudden fireball. He quickly shifted his position, using the wind to help dodge it.

However, a little brother standing beside him was exposed. The fireball hit him directly. He could only widen his eyes in shock, with no time to dodge.

“Ahhh!!”

A scream of immense pain echoed through the quiet room. Within moments, the burned area had turned black and charred.

Nearby, the water-element ability user Xiao Wen rushed forward, desperately trying to douse the flames with water.

But it wasn’t very effective; the fire wouldn’t go out no matter what he did.

“Why won’t it go out?” he shouted anxiously.

Ji Heng and the others remained unhurried, coldly observing the opponent writhing on the ground.

The nearby non-ability users, who had been sitting on the floor, grew frightened and moved further away.

After a few minutes, the fire finally went out. The little brother’s burned area had already carbonized from the high heat.

At this moment, aside from the man’s continuous wailing, the room was eerily silent.

“Stop screaming, useless fool.”

Brother Wang’s face was slapped on the spot. He was extremely unhappy, and he hadn’t expected a little kid to be an ability user as well.

He thought that the outcome had only happened because of the element of surprise.

Yet he didn’t recklessly continue attacking; he carefully observed, and the scene fell into a deadly silence.

Brother Wang felt a bit humiliated. The little brother beside him’s eyes flickered.

He taunted, “What are you guys? Brother Wang is a wind-element ability user. If you don’t want to die, hand over the supplies or get lost quickly.”

“Useless dogs bark. Jingze, handle this.” Ji Heng didn’t even bother to intervene.

Seeing Lu Uncle respond to the command, Ji Tianyi immediately joined the fight against the bad guys who had tried to hit him moments ago.

One was wind-element, the other metal-element; they exchanged blows back and forth.

In just a short moment, Brother Wang was driven into retreat. In terms of strength and skill, he was no match for Lu Jingze.

“Heh~ If you don’t want to die, stay quietly out of the way.” Lu Jingze looked down on his weak opponent with disdain.

Ji Heng had already moved to a cleaner area. Tian Le quickly brought out the tables and chairs from the space, letting the father and son sit down to rest.

“This is really exhausting. Just opening the door to rest would have been enough, yet they insisted on coming here to get beaten.”

Wang Facai released the people around him and complained as he walked toward where the Boss was.

“Have them all come over.”

Lu Jingze gave the order over the walkie-talkie. The few people still tidying up nearby stopped and made their way to the warehouse.

When everyone arrived, they saw two groups clearly separated.

Several of them were bruised and angry, glaring at Ji Heng and the others, but hesitated to approach due to some fear.

Having been beaten, they now faced a hard truth: survival was more important than pride.

On Ji Heng’s side, Tian Le naturally brought out all the food and drinks from the space, setting a large table for everyone.

Sun Ye shouted loudly, “Tian Le, can I get some meat? I haven’t eaten meat all day and have no energy to work.”

“You kid, at a time like this, you still think about eating meat every day?” Lu Jingze patted his shoulder heavily.

“Dreaming again?” Cai Yan teased.

“Hehe, isn’t Tian Le like a treasure chest? Don’t you want meat?”

Bai Qingyu gave a speechless retort: “We don’t want it?”

Ji Heng saw everyone’s eyes watering as they stared hungrily. Tian Le watched from the side, almost wanting to say he wanted meat too.

“Dad, I want meat too,” Ji Tianyi voiced what everyone was thinking.

“Alright, you little glutton.”

“Tian Le, bring out the simple grill. Make some more marinated meat. Everyone should eat well to restore strength before we depart later.”

“Okay, Boss.”

Tian Le replied happily, quickly bringing out all the items.

In an instant, a lavish grilled meat feast appeared on the table. Everyone excitedly pitched in, joining the barbecue effort.

Brother Wang and the others watched in shock. Seeing Tian Le produce so much out of thin air amazed them.

An ability user like this existed? In this strange world, various supernatural abilities were becoming normal.

Yet Tian Le seemed to have everything and brought it out without a second thought.

Xianzi immediately realized that they must have a lot of supplies.

Without sufficient resources, they wouldn’t be able to casually produce a full grilled meat feast like this.

And during the earlier fight, there had already been metal, earth, and fire ability users—three powerful ability users, all competent.

Not to mention the dozen or so who hadn’t joined the fight, appearing clean, well-fed, and obviously capable.

Brother Wang finally calmed down, realizing they wouldn’t get any supplies this time.

They also had to be wary of whether the others would suddenly strike to seize their supplies. Even if they refused, they might not be able to protect them.

“Ji Heng, eat something.”

“Okay.” Ji Heng leisurely ate the meat Tian Le had grilled.

Indeed, the little Assistant’s skill had gained a new talent: he was a good grill master. Taking care of his son had clearly been the right choice.

Ji Tianyi, who had been demanding meat earlier, could only watch, as he still had no teeth.

“Baby, you should drink milk first. You can’t digest the meat yet.”

“Wuuu~ Daddy, I want to eat.”

“Good boy~ Once your teeth grow, I’ll grill it especially for you, okay?”

“Then, you’ll only grill it for me.”

“Okay, then I’ll make you a bottle of milk.”

“Fine… Being a Baby is so hard.”

Ji Tianyi’s innocent complaints made the Uncles and Aunties eating nearby laugh unconsciously.

He glumly watched everyone feast, only able to drink milk to satisfy himself.

He occasionally asked, “Dad, is the barbecue good?”

“Mm, it’s pretty good. Tian Le grills very well.”

Tian Le heard him speaking so bluntly and didn’t know how to respond.

Wasn’t this deliberately adding trouble?

Seeing Ji Tianyi pout, he had to find ways to coax him.

“Say less.” Tian Le couldn’t stand it anymore and lightly pawed Ji Heng.

Ji Heng raised his eyebrows, finding the flustered little Assistant quite amusing.
