Ji Heng was completely bewildered as he realized he had just been peed on by Ji Tianyi?

The strange part was that he hadn’t even cried, so why was Ji Tianyi crying? That sound alone could probably blow the roof off.

When he heard the doorbell, Ji Heng felt as if he had seen a savior. He quickly went to open the door, then resumed his strange posture, endlessly coaxing the child: “Don’t cry, don’t cry.”Full novel: After Transmigration, I Became a Babysitter for a Big Shot in the Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Tian Le entered and immediately saw the cold-faced, usually stern President Ji holding a baby, gritting his teeth in a grimace.

Tian Le was horrified: No, even if it was the apocalypse, there was no need to harm a tiny life, right?

“Tian Le, what are you thinking? Come over and see why my son is crying so much.”

“Oh, oh.”

Tian Le patted his chest, relieved—it scared him at first, thinking that the apocalypse had just started and Ji Heng was about to eat a child.

Looking at the baby in Ji Heng’s arms, gasping and crying, Tian Le fell into thought. He wasn’t really a professional, after all.

“Tutu, do you know why he’s crying?”

“As far as I know, babies cry for only a few reasons: happiness, unhappiness, hunger, or needing a diaper change.”

Tian Le looked at Ji Heng, who had just been peed on, and ruled that out. Happiness or unhappiness didn’t seem likely either, so that just left…

“President Ji, could it be that Young Master Ji is hungry?”

Ji Heng furrowed his brows: How could he understand? If he really understood, he wouldn’t have asked.

But it was possible—up until now, he hadn’t fed Li Tianyi anything.

“So, does he need to be fed?”

“Of course.”

Tian Le, confident in his basic baby knowledge, spoke naturally and assuredly.

Seeing him like this, Ji Heng felt as if he had found a savior. In his mind, Tian Le’s image instantly rose. Without overthinking it, he handed the baby to him: “From now on, you’re responsible for the baby.”

“What? President Ji, you’re not even checking if I can handle this? You’re just letting me take care of the baby?”

At this moment, Ji Heng felt exactly like Ji Tianyi just after being born—he wouldn’t listen, he just decided that the other person would know what to do.

“It’s my first time being a dad; I don’t know how.”

“No, who isn’t a first-time dad? Why should I be responsible for the baby?”

Ji Heng thought back to a call he had received from Big Brother Ji: Apocalypse is coming; survival is necessary to secure the future of the Ji Family.

“I can guarantee that you will survive safely in the coming days.”

“Okay, I’m willing to take responsibility.”

Thinking his safety was guaranteed, Tian Le happily took the child.

Ji Tianyi watched as his dad handed him over to a gentle, kind man nearby. He looked rather nice.

And he seemed about to make something to eat for him. After crying so long, he was tired—so he decided not to cry for now.

Ji Heng observed that the moment Tian Le took him, Ji Tianyi immediately stopped crying. This further confirmed that the man was professional.

It seemed the Secretary’s office really did have hidden talents; they had all kinds of skills. In the future, he should definitely give this person more benefits.

Having handed Ji Tianyi to Tian Le, Ji Heng returned to deal with the matters Big Brother Ji had mentioned.

If the apocalypse really came, money would be useless, and supplies would be the most important thing.

He thought about the provisions he had secretly prepared.

“Knock, knock, knock!”

“President Ji, it’s Lu Jingze.”

He opened the door to see his bodyguard, Lu Jingze, looking rather disheveled.

“What happened?”

“Too many incidents on the way back. Many people couldn’t buy what they needed and caused chaos. There were fights in supermarkets and even robberies. The outside world is extremely chaotic.”

“No one got hurt, right?”

“No.”

“Okay, contact the bodyguard team. Have them gather overnight if they can, voluntary. Those who don’t come, settle the full year’s pay with them.”

“Understood, President Ji.”

“Once you’ve notified them, you can rest.”

Ji Heng took the keys to Ji Family’s major warehouses from Lu Jingze and began planning how to organize the supplies.

Lu Jingze glanced toward the dining area and saw a young man holding a baby, seemingly preparing formula. He looked puzzled: It seemed to be Tian Le, the assistant, but why was there a baby?

Ji Heng followed his gaze and saw Ji Tianyi and Tian Le.

“Ji Tianyi, my son.” He thought they would meet often in the future, so he introduced further: “Tian Le, you know him. He’s also the child’s babysitter now.”

“Ah? Oh. Okay, President Ji.”

Lu Jingze nodded, acknowledging this.

He returned to the suite next door a bit dazed, sat on the sofa, reported the matters, and then started zoning out.

Who could tell him that just by stepping out, President Ji would already have a child and a babysitter?

Could this world get any more fantastical?

Tian Le finally found a can of milk powder in the kitchen cupboard, seemingly leftover from making pastries. He didn’t know how much the baby could eat and was reading the instructions on the can.

Then he heard Ji Tianyi hiccup and say: “I can eat. Hurry, I’m so hungry.”

“Okay.”

“Okay” for what?

“You… you… how can you talk?”

“I never said I couldn’t talk.” Ji Tianyi pouted.

“Oh, right.”

Right, sure… who has a newborn that can speak?

Tian Le stared at Ji Tianyi, trying to read him like an open book.

“Master, Tutu detects energy all over this baby; Tutu is almost blinded by it.”

“Where’s the carbohydrate I asked for? He’s not even human.”

“Master, Tutu thinks you’re right.”

“Daddy, I’m so hungry. Can it be faster?”

Tian Le almost dropped the baby in shock.

“No, how can you just claim me as your dad? I’m not your dad.”

Ji Tianyi wanted to say that Dad had just said the same thing.

Forget it. Humans are too complicated to understand. Dad already said he was his babysitter—so that makes him Daddy, right?

Besides, he was really hungry now and didn’t want to waste time arguing over meaningless things. After all, this man would still end up being his Daddy.

Tian Le looked at the child, wanting to speak, tears in his eyes, lips pouting.

Speak! Say I’m not your dad!

“Remember, call me brother.”

Seeing the child remain silent, Tian Le quickly made a cup of warm milk.

Without a baby bottle, he used a regular mug and slowly fed him.

After a flustered effort, he finally filled him up. The little one, having completed his mission, didn’t care about anything else and fell asleep.

Already asleep?

Tian Le looked at the baby’s chubby cheeks, long eyelashes, and the clothes wrapped around him… Only now did he notice it seemed to be silk pajamas.

It was obvious whose handiwork it was.

Ji Heng, hearing the quiet for a while, finally felt his headache ease. He walked over and saw Tian Le deep in thought over his son.

“What’s wrong?”

“President Ji, do you… not have any baby supplies at home?”

Hearing this, Ji Heng’s headache started again.

Indeed, Ji Tianyi had suddenly come out of an egg. He was a single man—how could he possibly have anything for a baby at home?
