“Gеt оut.”

He Хuаn’s vоiсe merсilesslу shatterеd her daуdream. Su Nuаnnuan had no сhоiсe but tо stеp out of thе cаr. Stаring at the villа that felt bоth familiаr аnd strаnge, shе suddenly lоst the cоurаgе to step inside.

“Miss Su, you’d bettеr сontrol your ехpression. Еvеn if you’re pretending, make it convincing.”

A cold voice exploded beside Su Nuannuan’s ear. Startled, she turned to look—it was Bo Yunshen.

What did he mean by that? Did he know something? Something felt off.

“Young Master Bo, what do you mean by that?”

“You know exactly what I mean, Miss Su.” Bo Yunshen seemed unwilling to speak with her further. After tossing out those words, he entered the villa.

“Does Miss Su plan to stand at the door forever?” He Xuan parked the car and saw Su Nuannuan still standing at the entrance. A faint smirk tugged at his lips. “Or is Miss Su waiting for me?”

“Young Master He, I have a quirk—when people I dislike get too close, I feel like punching them.” It was all this guy’s fault. If not for him, she wouldn’t have had to endure Bo Yunshen’s sarcastic remarks.

“Oh? By that logic, does it mean you really like my third brother?” He Xuan’s peach-blossom eyes teased as he looked her over.

She must be crazy. Why did she actually come here? In front of these foxes, her little tricks were nothing.

“You’re right. I do like your third brother. I’m going to cling to him right now.” Su Nuannuan gritted her teeth.

He Xuan watched Su Nuannuan’s retreating figure. No wonder his third brother liked her—she was no little lamb but a fox cub hiding in sheep’s clothing.

Su Nuannuan walked into the house. They were all in the gym playing pool. From a distance, she saw Li Beixiao leaning against the pool table, smoking. In her memory, he rarely smoked.

“Third Brother, I’ve brought her to you.”

He Xuan glanced at Su Nuannuan, who was standing there in a daze, and unceremoniously gave her a push.

Su Nuannuan couldn’t stop herself. History repeated itself in a startlingly similar fashion—her head shot straight toward Li Beixiao’s crotch.

“He Xuan!” Su Nuannuan grabbed Li Beixiao’s pant leg and suppressed a roar as she called He Xuan’s name.

He Xuan was momentarily stunned. Even he was surprised by the scene. He had only meant to push her toward Li Beixiao, never expecting Su Nuannuan to be so unsteady on her feet.

“Pfft, sorry. I didn’t mean it.”

“Ahem, Fourth Brother, you’re too reckless. Miss Su, you should get up first.” Gu Jinghuai coughed dryly, breaking the awkward silence and reminding Su Nuannuan to stand.

Li Beixiao frowned. Her scent invaded his nostrils. He lowered his gaze and unexpectedly met her damp, glistening eyes. His heart trembled, but he forced himself to remain calm as he pulled her up.

Su Nuannuan looked at her hands, then grabbed a nearby pool cue, gritting her teeth.

“Mr. Li, you don’t mind if I beat him to death, do you?”

Without waiting for Li Beixiao’s reply, Su Nuannuan marched toward He Xuan with the pool cue in hand. He Xuan stared at the gloomy-faced young woman. Was she serious?

“I already said I’m sorry, little lady.” He Xuan swallowed nervously.”Then I’m sorry too, I promise not to beat you to death.” Su Nuannuan swung her long stick, striking He Xuan with a solid blow.

“Damn, you crazy woman, you’re actually serious.” He Xuan was stunned—he, He Xuan, had actually been hit by a woman.

Seeing that Su Nuannuan had no intention of stopping, He Xuan’s expression changed. “Shit, here she comes again! Third Brother, save me! Third Brother…”

Su Nuannuan controlled her strength. A man screaming so loudly—hmph! What a sissy.

Su Nuannuan picked up the car keys from the ground. If he had just lent her the car earlier, none of this trouble would have happened.

“I’ll borrow the car for a while. Young Master He seems a bit lacking in vitality—you should go back and nourish your kidneys properly. Wallowing in a crowd of women, aren’t you afraid of catching something?”

Su Nuannuan dangled the keys with one hand, a slight curve at the corner of her mouth. In He Xuan’s eyes, it looked nothing short of a provocation.

Only after Su Nuannuan left did He Xuan snap back to his senses. Trembling, he pointed in the direction she had gone.

He Xuan said in disbelief, “Third Brother, are you sure this is Su Nuannuan? Has she been possessed? She wasn’t even drinking today.”

Bo Yunshen, standing nearby, snorted coldly. “I’ve said it before—this girl has a lot on her mind! Third Brother, she really isn’t suitable for you. Find another girl.”

Li Beixiao flicked the ashes from the cigarette burning in his hand. She had always been like this—how many years had it been since he last saw her roll up her sleeves like that?

“She’s fine,” Li Beixiao said calmly.

Bo Yunshen’s mind went blank. This brother might as well be discarded—was it really worth it for just one woman?

“Ahem, I never expected Miss Su to have such a lively side,” Gu Jinghuai coughed dryly to cover his embarrassment. Third Brother’s taste was truly unique.

“You call that lively? Second Brother, doesn’t your conscience ache? That’s practically fucking schizophrenia.” He Xuan rubbed his waist, immediately recalling Su Nuannuan’s remark about him needing to nourish his kidneys. It infuriated him.

Li Beixiao glanced at He Xuan. Gu Jinghuai’s lips twitched—this Fourth Brother still hadn’t learned his lesson. Talking like this in front of Third Brother, wasn’t he afraid Third Brother would lose his temper?

“Hmph! Fine, everyone’s just fine. I think you’re fine too—next time you’re drinking alone, don’t come looking for me.” Bo Yunshen picked up his coat from the side, flung it over his shoulder, and left the Li residence in a foul mood.

Gu Jinghuai shook his head. “Why didn’t Fifth Brother come today?”

“Probably holed up in some woman’s bar again,” He Xuan said with a dismissive wave.

Gu Jinghuai’s lips twitched. Their group of brothers really was something—when it came to relationships, not a single one of them had it smooth.

After leaving Li Beixiao’s home, Su Nuannuan went straight back to the Su residence. Just as she arrived, she happened to run into the delivery person.

Su Nuannuan’s lips curved into a smile. Her timing was perfect. Aside from the little incident with He Xuan, she was quite pleased.

“Ah Dong, return this car to the He family at Lanyuan.” Su Nuannuan tossed the keys to the driver, Ah Dong.

“Give the items to me, I’ll sign for them.” Su Nuannuan took the delivery slip and checked it against the items.

“Thank you for your patronage, Miss Su. Could you leave your WeChat? When new products arrive, I’ll notify you first.”

Su Nuannuan glanced at the delivery person, noting his name tag. He was the manager of Parkson—quite the businessman.

“No need, I don’t like to be disturbed,” Su Nuannuan said coolly.

The manager was sharp enough to recognize the polite refusal and didn’t press further. After all, customers who spent so lavishly were rare.”Sister, you’re back. Mom took me shopping today and bought me lots of pretty clothes.”

Su Manjing had originally intended to show off, but when she saw Su Nuannuan entering with numerous bags in hand, she immediately froze in place.

“Sister, why did you buy so many things? Are these for me?” Su Manjing said, reaching out to snatch them.

Su Nuannuan raised an eyebrow and sidestepped slightly, causing Su Manjing to miss her grab. Su Manjing’s expression darkened—this wasn’t going as she had imagined.

“Sister?” Su Manjing looked at Su Nuannuan with a pitiful expression.

Su Nuannuan smiled brightly, waving her hand. “These aren’t for you, little sister. Brother Mubai bought them for me. Look, aren’t they lovely? Brother Mubai proposed to me. Isn’t this diamond dazzling?”
