Chapter 16

Almighty Son In-Law

Sabrina crossed her arms over her chest and said arrogantly, “Yes, I hate you. So what? Can't you handle a little criticism now, you loser?

“Everyone at the university knows that you married Claire Wilson and became her family's live-in son-in-law after graduation! You were a pathetic loser who couldn't even afford a decent meal in college, and now you're nothing more than a boytoy after graduation!

“How dare you come here asking for my help when you're such a complete loser? Who do you think you are?”

A wave of fury slowly rose within Charlie.

Sabrina had gone too far this time.

“Young Master, the Wade family owns the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.”

Charlie was stunned.

Did he just say that the Wade family owned Shangri-La?

He instinctively asked, “You're not bluffing, are you?”

“Of course not. The person in charge of Shangri-La in Aurouss Hilll is Cameron Isaac. His number is 155... Give him a call, and he'll take care of everything for you.”

“Okay.”

Sabrina was slightly irritated by Charlie's attitude. She watched him take out his phone and start dialing while she continued mocking him.

Suddenly, Charlie stopped responding to her.

She became even more arrogant and sneered, “Hey, Mr. Classmate, you're pretty good at putting up with insults!”

“Oh, by the way, I heard that you and Claire Wilson haven't slept together even after being married for three years. Is Claire actually someone else's mistress, while you're just a cover for her affair? Hahaha!”

Charlie frowned angrily.

“Not only did you insult me, but you also insulted my wife. Sabrina Lee, you're digging your own grave!”

Enraged, he dialed Cameron Isaac's number.

He stared at Sabrina and said firmly while waiting for the call to connect, “I'm going to ask the person in charge of Shangri-La how they recruit their employees. How can someone with such a foul mouth like you work here?”

“How dare you insult me?” Sabrina shouted furiously.

She turned to the guards beside her.

“He's here to cause trouble! Beat him!”

At that moment, the call was answered.

“Hello, who is this?”

A calm and pleasant male voice came from the other end.

Charlie replied coldly, “Are you Cameron Isaac? I'm Charlie Wade. I'm at the entrance of Shangri-La right now. I'll give you one minute to get here. Otherwise, you can leave Shangri-La!”

The man on the other end, who had sounded calm and composed moments earlier, immediately panicked.

“Young... Young Master? Are you really at Shangri-La?”

“Fifty seconds.”

The man immediately shouted into the phone in panic.

“Please wait! I'll be there right away!”

Sabrina smirked as she listened to Charlie's conversation and mocked him sarcastically.

“Hey, Charlie Wade, I didn't know you were so good at boasting! Even Shangri-La's most prestigious members wouldn't dare to act this arrogantly in front of Mr. Cameron!”

Charlie glared at her and said calmly, “In thirty seconds, you'll know whether I'm bluffing.”

Sabrina laughed contemptuously.

“Fine, my dear class representative. I'll wait thirty seconds.”

She paused and sneered.

“No, let's make it three minutes! If Mr. Cameron doesn't show up within three minutes, I'll have the guards tear that lying mouth of yours apart! Hahaha! This is hilarious!”

Twenty seconds later, a middle-aged man wearing an expensive, perfectly tailored suit came running toward them in a panic.

He was Cameron Isaac, a man who worked for the Wade family.

He was also an extremely powerful figure.

After being appointed general manager of Shangri-La in Aurouss Hilll, he had become one of the most respected figures in the city.

When was the last time he had ever been this anxious and frightened?

His panic was understandable. He had never imagined that the Young Master of the Wade family would suddenly appear at Shangri-La, which was under his management.

Sabrina was about to continue insulting Charlie when she suddenly noticed that the guards had turned pale.

They were staring fearfully at someone behind her.

She followed their stunned gazes and turned around.

The moment she saw Cameron Isaac, her eyes widened in disbelief.

She turned back toward Charlie, her eyes filled with fear.

“This... How... How is this possible?”

“Who is Mr. Charlie Wade?”

Cameron's voice trembled with shock and fear.

Everyone stared at him in bewilderment.

Cameron Isaac was a man powerful enough to shake the entire Aurouss Hilll with a single word. Yet at this moment, he was so frightened that even his voice was trembling.

Charlie replied loudly, “I am!”

Cameron immediately rushed toward him and bowed respectfully.

“Young...”

Charlie quickly interrupted him.

“Mr. Cameron, some things are better left unsaid in public.”

Cameron's heart skipped a beat.

The Young Master's identity was supposed to remain highly confidential. He had almost called him “Young Master” in front of everyone.

If he accidentally exposed the Young Master's identity, he would be finished.

So Cameron quickly changed his form of address while maintaining a respectful tone.

“Mr. Wade, welcome to Shangri-La. Please follow me to my office so we can discuss this privately.”

Sabrina was completely stunned.

She couldn't accept what she was seeing, yet the truth had unfolded right before her eyes.

Was this really Charlie Wade?

What was his true identity?

How could he make the powerful general manager of Shangri-La bow before him so respectfully?

And would he hold a grudge against her for everything she had said to him?
