“Elle…!” He muttered shakily under his breath.

“What?” Rick looked at him in utter confusion.

“I need you to leave Rick, now!” “Is something wrong Kyrian, you look like you’ve seen a ghost…” “I said LEAVE!” Kyrian snapped making Rick halt momentarily before raising his hands in surrender then turned away.Full novel: Alpha’s Regret: Rise Of The Ugly Luna — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Man, he’s losing his mind.

This whole craziness started since the Luna left, damn I miss her for him, but he’s too much of an arrogant bastard to even realize it.” Rick muttered shaking his head regretfully as he shut the door behind him after sending Kyrian one last glance.

Though he knew from Nelly that Avielle was safe somewhere far away after he’d heard her talking to the previous Luna, he had no idea exactly where she was, he wished he did so he could end Kyrian’s search.

Even if he wouldn’t admit it, Rick could see that there was something beneath the surface.

A secret Kyrian was hiding.

[DID YOU REALLY THINK KICKING HER OUT WOULD HIDE HER?] Kyrian felt his heart stop for a moment, his fingers trembled around his phone.

[I FOUND HER!] That message…the mysterious number that couldn’t be traced, he dropped the device hard onto his desk, his eyes darkening.

No…this was not how this whole thing was supposed to go.

‘Rick, get back here, NOW!’ He mind-linked his beta, not even knowing why he’d sent him out a while ago.

‘What?

You told me to leave and now you…

fine, I’m coming.’ Rick walked in to find Kyrian pacing restlessly, “Hey man, what’s going on?” “Get the car ready, I’m going to Claire.

Contact the media, make it sound like you’re tipping them off on my location, I want pictures of me with Claire circulating everywhere before sunset today.

Make sure the headlines suggest a deep and passionate relationship.” “Are you sure you want to do that?

You haven’t even announced the divorce to the world yet.” “Yeah, that is the next plan.

Once the news of my relationship with Claire gets out and simmers around for a while, we release news about the divorce.” Rick frowned, “But that would only tell people that you were having an affair with Claire and that’s why you chose to divorce your wife.

Wouldn’t you rather we release the news of your divorce first before showing your relationship with Claire?” “No, do everything in the exact order I instructed you.” “People are not going to like you for this, you’re going to be termed a cheater and an adulterer.

And when it’s so rare to find fated mates these days, people are going to despise you for cheating on your fated mate.” Rick voiced all his concerns.

He couldn’t understand why Kyrian was doing any of this to himself.

“Rick, who am I?” “Alpha Kyrian Dustwood of Obsidian, also known as The Savage Alpha, also known as billionaire CEO of Obsidian Groups.” “Good, do I need people to like me?” Understanding dawned in Rick’s eyes as he uttered, “Nope, you’ve lived with a bad rep all your life after you won the war against Dusk-Moon pack, from being named savage to being named bloodthirsty and cruel, a cheating adulterer would just be an icing on the cake.” Kyrian gave him a tight smile, “You’re easier to talk to when you’re smart.

Go!” “So does that mean I’m not always smart?” He received a glare, one that he knew translated to Kyrian’s patience tethering along the edges, “Right, media, and that witch Claire.

Got it!” When the door shut behind Rick, the lightness around Kyrian suddenly vanished.

He looked down at the text still vivid on his screen, his eyes glued onto those three words, [I FOUND HER!] Elle’s life is in danger…am I sending her to them by trying to protect her?

—– “Oh my gosh, look at those diamonds!

Is this really for me?” Claire’s eyes were sparkling as she held up the diamond necklace, Kyrian took it from her and pulled her hair aside, fixing it on her swan like neck.

“You make the diamonds look really beautiful.” He whispered lovingly into her ear.

His gaze showing immense adoration.

“Oh thank you so much Kyrian you’re the best!” She flung herself into his arms kissing him repeatedly, “I love you!

I love you!

I love you!!!” “I love you too, Claire.

I’ve only ever loved you and no one else.” Avielle felt a sharp, dormant pain stab her in the heart.

The phone she was holding slid down her fingers to the floor and her body suddenly felt extremely weak she slumped against the wall, trying so hard not to cry but the tears slid down anyway.

She was right, they were happy together.

And looking at Kyrian it was almost as though she’d never been in his life at all.

For a moment, just a moment she allowed her heart to break and she sobbed quietly into her palms, before she quickly wiped her tears as two omegas walked past her down the hallway giving her strange looks.

She picked up her phone, looking down at the text bubble that said, [YOUR BELOVED HUSBAND AND HIS OTHER WOMAN.

DON’T YOU JUST WANT TO SEND THEM BOTH TO HELL?] The number that sent her the video was one she’d never seen before, it didn’t look like digits from a familiar country, yet the sender seemed to know who she was.

Avielle quickly deleted the message.

Who was this person, and why send her videos of Kyrian and Claire when she’d already left him?

“You still haven’t taken the alpha’s meal yet?

What are you standing around there for?!” Madam Helen’s sharp voice pierced her ears.

“I’m sorry madam Helen, I was just about to…” “Save it, get going now!” She yelled in Avielle’s face before walking away muttering lowly, “I can’t believe this woman, always so slow.” Avielle sighed, pocketing her phone.

‘…

I’ve only ever loved you and no one else.’ Those words repeatedly played back in her mind as she walked listlessly towards the alpha’s office.

Everything became like a distant echo in her head from when she knocked, to when she heard Zaden’s voice permit her to come in, to when she dropped the tray of food on his desk and turned to leave despite the fact that he was talking to her.

She only came back to her senses when she felt someone grab her hand from behind.

She glanced back into Zaden’s concerned eyes.

“Are you okay, why do you look so lost?” She quickly snapped back, plastering a smile on her face, “Oh, Zaden.

I’m sorry, I had a lot on my mind and I wasn’t paying attention.

Did you say something to me just now?” He sighed, then pushed her by the shoulders making her sit on his desk while he gazed down at her as if to read what was on her mind.

“Tell me, what’s got you looking so lost?” “Nothing, I just have a lot to do in the kitchens so my mind has been wandering.” “You shouldn’t be working in the kitchens in your condition, Ava.” He said, eyes flickering down to her stomach.

Avielle shook her head at him, “I’m fine, it’s not a very hard job.

Besides, my aunt and I need the extra income.” “Then why not work with me, I’ll give you a job by my side and you wouldn’t need to cook or clean, or go up and down the stairs delivering food all day.

I have an open position for a secretary you could occupy.” Avielle gently pushed his hands away from her shoulders, “I can’t Zaden, but thanks anyway.

I don’t want any trouble, people already think that I’m stringing you along and trying to trap my pregnancy on you and if I start working closely with you, your sister is going to be really pissed.” “My sister?

What did Tania say to you?” Avielle suddenly realized she shouldn’t have told him about Tania, she looked up to find his eyes simmering.

“Did Tania accuse you of trying to trap me with your pregnancy?” She shook her head, “No, that’s not…” “I should have known, it was her who hit you the other day wasn’t it?” Zaden seemed to have already concluded.

He knew his sister far better than anyone else and he should have known on that very day that the mark on Avielle’s face was Tania’s doing.

Avielle didn’t give him an answer, he didn’t need one.

He turned on his heels and marched out of the office, his voice thundering across the halls, “TANIA!” Avielle quickly went after him, “Zaden wait…”
