I stayed in his arms until my breathing finally slowed down.
Wiping my eyes, I pulled away and checked my phone.
Jay: “It’s already 5:30…
I should leave now.”
Keifer nodded quietly and drove me back to Kuya Angelo’s house.
As I opened the passenger door to step out, I leaned back in, gave him a quick peck on the lips, and sprinted inside before he could say anything.
Once in my room, I changed into comfortable clothes and sat on my bed, a small smile creeping onto my face despite everything—Keifer and I were secretly, officially together now.
Later, I went downstairs for dinner, finished my meal, and slept peacefully.
The next morning, we got ready for school.
It was the final day of our examinations.
Thankfully, Sir Alvin had been holding daily review sessions between exams, which was the only reason I managed to study amidst all this chaos.
Aries and I picked up Ella as usual.
When we arrived at school, we all headed to our respective classrooms.
During the test, CiN finished first as usual, followed by the King of Vipers, David, and Yuri.
I submitted my paper ten minutes before the final bell and stepped into the hallway.
CiN: “How was your paper, Jay?”
Jay: “It was fine.”
Just then, the King of Snakes himself appeared.
Leaning close to my ear, Keifer smirked.
Keifer (whispering): “Wifey…
when are you planning to reveal our relationship?”
Jay (blushing): “On our last exam day.”
Since our final English exam was followed by a three-day study break for review sessions, we all headed toward the parking lot.
I saw Aries waiting for me, but before I could take a step, Keifer pulled me back by my wrist.
Keifer (smirking): “Wifey, aren’t you forgetting something?”
Jay (confused): “What?”

I quickly pulled out my phone, snapped a clear picture of it, and placed the envelope back exactly where I found it before heading upstairs.
On my way to my room, I bumped into Yuri in the hallway.
Jay: “Hey, Yuri.
Are you going somewhere?”
Instead of answering, Yuri searched my face intently.
“Did you see an envelope downstairs?”
I forced a confused expression.
“Envelope?
No, I didn’t.
Is it something important?”
“No,” Yuri said quickly, brushing past me toward the garden.
Yuri POV:
I had been on a private call in the garden when Jay walked out.
I immediately walked away so she wouldn’t overhear anything.
I thought I had finally gained her complete trust, which was what I needed most.
But after ending the call, I realized the envelope was missing from my coat pocket.
Dammit, I must have dropped it near the bushes.
Panicking that Jay might find it and ruin everything, I rushed back downstairs.
I saw her walking toward her room empty-handed.
When she asked if I was going somewhere, I immediately asked if she had seen the envelope.
Her confused look seemed genuine.
“No, I didn’t.
Is it something important?”
“No,” I replied, relieved.
I headed straight to the garden, found the envelope tucked near the bushes, and picked it up, convinced she hadn’t noticed it.

I knew my confused act had completely fooled him.
Back in my room, I opened my phone and closely examined the photo I had taken.
Stamped in the corner was a strange symbol—a distinct sign I knew I had seen somewhere before, though I couldn’t place where.
Shaking off the distraction, I spent the next five hours studying for my upcoming exams.
It was late at night when I finally lay down on my bed.
As I stared at the ceiling, a sudden memory flashed in my mind: Hospital…

I sat up in bed, my heart racing.

The second list was somehow connected to his mother and me.
But no matter how hard I tried to connect the dots, I couldn’t find the link.

Exhausted, I finally closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep…
