Jay-Jay POV:
It was already 5 PM when I finally walked back inside the house.
I had been outside for half an hour because Keifer just wouldn’t let me go.
As I stepped into the living hall, I saw Percy standing there, and right at that moment, Aries came walking downstairs too.
Seeing the two of them together, I smiled and asked, “Hey, do you guys want to have a sleepout in my room today?”😁
Aries immediately crossed his arms and rejected, “No way.”🫤
I turned my head and looked at Percy with hopeful eyes 🥺.
Percy smirked 😏at Aries and said, “Sure, I’m in.”
The moment Percy agreed, Aries panicked and snapped at him, “Hey!
Don’t go sleeping out with her!”😰
”Why shouldn’t I?
She asked me,” Percy replied coolly, completely ignoring him.
Realizing Percy wasn’t backing down, Aries gritted his teeth and blurted out, “Fine!
I’m coming for the sleepout too!”😅
I couldn’t help but grin secretly.
I was so happy watching them fight with each other just so the other wouldn’t win my favor.
Later, we all piled into my room and watched a movie together.
After the movie ended, we went downstairs for dinner.
Once we finished eating, all three of us started walking back up to my room.
Kuya Angelo was standing in the hall, giving us a sharp side-eye the entire time because we were behaving way too sweetly toward each other.
Flashback:
When we had come downstairs for dinner earlier, Percy quickly grabbed the chair on my left side, and Aries sat on my right.
We started eating, and suddenly, Percy picked up a dish and placed some food directly onto my plate.
Aries saw this and couldn’t control his jealousy at all.
“Hey!” Aries growled.
He reached over, picked up the food Percy gave me, stuffed it into his own mouth, and then placed food from his own dish onto my plate instead.
Before I could even react, Percy leaned over, snatched the food Aries put on my plate, and ate it himself.
I rolled my eyes and quietly started eating off both of their plates without either of them even noticing.
Flashback ended…
After that, we went to sleep.
But around 3 AM, my stomach started rumbling.
I woke up feeling extremely hungry, so I decided to sneak down to the kitchen to grab something to eat without waking Percy and Aries.
I tiptoed over to my bedroom door and pulled it open.
But the second the door opened, my heart stopped😰.
Standing right in front of me in the dark corridor was a shadowy figure—holding a sharp knife.
Panic surged through my entire body.
“AH!” I gasped, slamming the door shut with a loud, heavy THUD!
I backed away from the door, sweating profusely and trembling.
The loud crash woke Percy and Aries up instantly.
They jumped out of bed, saw me pale and shivering against the wall, and rushed straight over to me.
”Jay!
What happened?!” Aries asked, his voice full of panic.😨
My vision started blurring and spinning out of control, but I squeezed my eyes shut and forced myself to take deep, shaky breaths, trying not to faint.

After a few terrifying moments, my vision slowly cleared.
I looked at the door and realized…
there was no one there.
It was just a vivid hallucination caused by my sheer stress.
Seeing that I was physically okay, Percy and Aries let out a breath and relaxed.😮💨
”I’m okay…
it was nothing,” I whispered nervously.
“Please…
don’t tell Kuya Angelo about this.”
They looked at each other with deep concern.
“Jay, if something’s wrong—” Percy started.🥺
”Please!
Just promise me you won’t tell him!” I begged.😣🙏🏻
Reluctantly, they both nodded.
We went back to bed, knowing we had a 9 AM class the next day.
In the morning, Aries woke me up.
The three of us took turns showering and getting dressed one by one.
When we finally went downstairs, breakfast wasn’t ready yet.
”Let’s just go to the mini-mart and grab something,” I suggested.
We walked over to the mini-mart and had our breakfast.
But as we were walking back home from the mini-mart, a sudden, crushing tightness hit my chest.😣 My breath grew heavier and heavier, feeling as if someone’s hands were tightly choking my throat.
My vision went pitch black.😰😣
”Jay?!”
Aries and Percy panicked completely😨.
They grabbed me before I hit the ground and rushed me straight to the hospital.
Around 8:30 AM, two hours later, I finally opened my eyes and regained my senses.
Aries and Percy were sitting right beside my bed, looking terrified.
”Jay!
Are you okay?
Can you hear us?” Aries asked softly.🥺
I weakly nodded my head.
Percy let out a sigh of relief.
“I’ll go finish the discharge paperwork,” he said, stepping out of the room.
When Percy came back, I looked at both of them with pleading eyes.🥺 “You have to keep this a secret from Kuya Angelo too.”
They both stared at me in disbelief.
“Why, Jay?!” Percy demanded.
“You collapsed!
You need to tell Angelo!”😫
”Because I need to figure out why I keep having these attacks first!” I argued back defensively.
“Telling Kuya Angelo won’t help at all!
He’ll just panic, drag me to more hospitals, and lock me up, which will only worsen my condition and trigger another attack!”
They listened to my explanation, exchanged a quiet glance, and finally nodded in agreement.
In reality, I couldn’t tell them the truth.
These attacks were happening because of Yuri and what I saw that morning.
If I told them it was because of Yuri, they would run straight to Kuya Angelo.
Plus, I still hadn’t told Kuya Angelo about the hitlist.
On that day, I had lied to Aries, saying I would tell Kuya Angelo everything myself.
If Aries spoke up now, my lie would be completely exposed, and I wouldn’t be able to handle Kuya Angelo’s wrath.
When we got back home in the car, I looked at Percy and said, “Percy, stay in the car.”
Aries stopped and frowned, “What?
Jay, let’s go inside.”
”No,” I told Aries, looking away.
“If I go home right now, it might trigger my panic attack again.
Aries, you go back inside alone.
I’m going to Percy’s house, and we are keeping this a secret from everyone.”
Aries looked hurt and worried 🥺, but he understood my state.
“Fine…
take care of her, Percy,” he said quietly before getting out.
Percy drove me to his condo—it was massive, luxurious, and fully furnished with top-quality furniture.
”Percy, I’m hungry…
can you cook something?” I asked, collapsing onto his couch..
”Sure thing,” Percy smiled, heading to the kitchen to make noodles for me.
After eating, I pulled out my study material.
“Sit with me, Percy.
I need to revise the syllabus for tomorrow’s exam.”
Percy sat right beside me, helping me review my lessons.
We did three full study sessions of two hours each😮💨, and Percy made sure to feed me food after every single session.
By nighttime, I decided to video call Aries to check up on him.
Aries picked up, and we started talking.
But as I was looking at my screen, my eyes widened in sheer horror.

Yuri walked right past the hallway!
Aries didn’t notice him at all, but I froze, gasping for air as panic seized me instantly.
Percy saw my face instantly turn pale.😨😖 Without hesitation, Percy reached over and slammed the call button, cutting the call!
Percy quickly called Aries back on his own phone.
“Aries, listen to me,” Percy said into the receiver.
“Jay is fine, but her symptoms triggered again the moment she saw the video call.
It’s much better if she stays here at my place for the night, and I’ll handle everything from here.”
Aries POV:
I had arrived back home after 9 AM.
Seeing that everyone was busy in lectures, I quietly sneaked into Jay’s room and locked the door from the inside so no one would find out Jay wasn’t home.
I brought my books from my own room and spent four hours revising inside her room.
After finishing my study session, I stepped out to grab some lunch.
But the moment I reached the hallway, Keifer and Ci-N cornered me.
”Aries!
Where is Jay?” Keifer asked, looking around anxiously.
”She has a fever,” I lied, keeping my expression flat.
“She’s sleeping in her room.”😐
Keifer stared at me suspiciously.
“A fever?
Can we see her?”🤨
”No!
She’s resting!” I snapped, putting in every ounce of my effort to convince them until they finally backed off.
A little later, I saw Kuya Angelo talking with Alvin Sir.
As soon as Alvin Sir left, Kuya Angelo marched straight toward me.
”Aries.
Why is Jay absent from class today?” Kuya Angelo asked strictly.
”She has a fever, Kuya.
She’s resting in her room,” I repeated.
Kuya Angelo raised an eyebrow.
“And what are you doing hanging around here instead of being in class?”🤨
”Whenever her fever declines slightly, I help her review for the exams,” I answered quickly.
Kuya Angelo eyed me for a second, then nodded and left.
Keifer and Ci-N tried to pester me again to let them inside Jay’s room, but I firmly blocked them until they finally gave up and walked away.
Later on, Jay video called me.
But while we were talking, her condition suddenly triggered again, and Percy abruptly cut the call.
A second later, Percy called my phone.
“Aries, her condition triggered during the call, but she was fine before it.
I’m helping her review here.
It’s better if she stays at my condo tonight.”
I clenched my fists.
I didn’t want Jay staying at Percy’s place, but for Jay’s sake, I agreed.
”Alright,” I sighed.
“Just handle everything there.”
”I will,” Percy said.
And right before he hung up, I heard Jay screaming frantically from the background: “Aries!
Keep it a secret from Kuya Angelo!!!”
”I got it!” I yelled back before the call ended.
I went back into Jay’s room and started pacing back and forth nervously.
Tomorrow’s classes were going to be held at school, meaning Jay couldn’t go to school, nor could Kuya Angelo find out about any of this.
I spent two whole hours pacing in her room, but I couldn’t come up with a single solution.
To make things worse, Keifer was pestering me like a leech every single hour, calling and texting to ask if Jay was okay.
Finally, I snapped on the phone.
“Keifer, if you don’t stop calling me every hour, I swear I will block your number on both my phone AND Jay’s phone!”😤
That finally made him shut up and stop calling.
By 11 PM, I tried calling Percy and Jay so we could brainstorm a solution together, but neither of them picked up the phone.
I thought they might already be asleep, so I decided not to disturb them and went to sleep too.
In the morning:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm at 5 AM.
I showered, got ready for school, and went downstairs to grab breakfast.
I packed a extra portion of food and took it up to Jay’s room so the household staff wouldn’t discover she was missing.
Since Jay wasn’t actually there, I sat on her bed and ate the food myself.
After finishing, I checked the hallway to make sure no one was around, then walked out to my car.
It was already 7 AM.
I started the engine, pulling out of the driveway and driving toward school.
My mind was racing, trying to figure out how we were going to pull off this lie without Kuya Angelo or Keifer suspecting a thing.
As I neared the mini-mart, I pulled the car over to a stop along the curb.
Taking a deep breath to steady myself, I pulled out my phone and dialed Percy’s number on speaker, waiting nervously for them to answer…
