Jay Jay POV:
Next Morning☀️
My eyes snapped open, and a quick glance at the clock sent a wave of panic straight through me.
It was already 8:00 AM.
“Oh no, I am so late!” I screamed to myself.
I quickly showered, grabbed a single piece of bread, and ran out the door.
I hailed a cab and munched on the bread while checking the time every two seconds.
By the time I reached school, it was 9:10 AM.
I had already missed my first lecture.
I ran down the hallway, completely out of breath, and pushed the classroom door open.
Classmate: “Jay, what happened to you?”
Jay (panting): “I…
I overslept.
I hurried all the way here!”
Everyone nodded in understanding.
I walked to my seat, feeling relieved.
Thank goodness today was exam day, I made it just before the test started.
We started writing the exam.
Thankfully, I actually knew most of the answers!
CiN was the first to submit his paper and walk out, followed by the others.
I finished 10 minutes before the bell rang, handed in my paper, and stepped outside.
We all stood around discussing how hard the exam was.
Afterwards, I looked around for Aries to go home together, but he was already gone.
Keifer had left too.
“I guess I’ll just walk home,” I muttered to myself.
When I reached our house, I noticed a few dark cars parked outside.
I couldn’t remember whose cars they were, but I knew I had seen them before.
I walked inside, and what I saw next made my heart drop.
Kaizer was sitting on the couch, leaning back comfortably like he owned the place.
Jay-Jay POV:
(Why is he here?!)
A terrifying thought hit me—if Kaizer is here in our living room, what about Tita, Tito, Aries, and Angelo?!
Did he do something to them?!
I panicked and wanted to run outside to get help, but before I could move, Kaizer was suddenly standing right in front of me.
Kaizer: “I have been waiting for you, Jay.
It took you long enough.”
Jay: “Why are you here?”
Kaizer: “Good question.
I know that Drew is working for Keifer.”
Jay: “How…
how do you know that?”
Kaizer: “I have my own ways.”
Jay: “What do you want from me?”
Kaizer: “I know you know about the hitlist.
Don’t you want to meet your friends and cousins?”
Jay (angry): “What have you done to them?!”
Kaizer: “I haven’t done anything yet.
But I will surely do something if you don’t come with me.”
He said it so calmly, like I even had a choice.
Jay: “Okay.
I will come with you.”
Before I could say anything else, he grabbed my hands and tied them behind my back.
Then he tied a black cloth over my eyes, making everything completely dark.
A guy grabbed my arm to lead me.
I stumbled and almost fell three times just trying to get into the car!
The car ride was completely silent and felt like an eternity.
When we finally stopped, the guy grabbed me again.
Honestly, I think he was blind too because I tripped over the sidewalk the moment I stepped out.
He dragged me inside a cold building and finally stopped.
They violently pulled my blindfold off.
I blinked against the light, and when my vision cleared, I gasped.
Keigan and Keiran were tied up against the wall.
Next to them were Aries, Percy, the whole Section E, Rakki, Freya looking super furious, and Ella trembling with fear.
Mica was crying in a corner.
They were all tied up with thick ropes!
That traitor Yuri was nowhere to be seen.
Of course, I thought.
What else could I expect from him?
All the boys were beaten up to a pulp, though the girls weren’t hit.
Then I saw Keifer.
My stomach dropped.
He was tied up in heavy chains and beaten way worse than anyone else.
Kaizer walked over to me, holding my phone in his hand.
Kaizer: “I’ve already sent this location to your Kuya Angelo.”
I glared at him, pure anger rushing through me.
Jay: “What do you want from Kuya now?!”
Kaizer: “Nothing much.
I just want to confirm something.”
Jay (shouting): “Are you even human?!
You beat up everyone and chained your own son just to talk to Kuya?!”
I could tell he was losing his patience, but I didn’t care.
SLAP!
Kaizer slapped me so hard across the face that I crashed to the ground.
My head hit the floor, and blood started dripping from my lip.
In the background, I could hear everyone screaming my name, but their voices sounded so far away.
All I could focus on was the strong taste of blood in my mouth.
Slowly, I tasted my own blood.
Keifer POV:
We were all tied up and helpless.
Then Kaizer walked back into the room, dragging Jay with him.
They argued for a moment before Kaizer suddenly slapped her across the face!
The loud slap echoed through the entire room as Jay fell hard to the floor.
“Jay!” everyone screamed.
The girls were crying and shouting her name, but Jay just lay there, completely unmoving.
I pulled against my chains until my skin burned, shouting her name over and over, but she didn’t respond.
Then, I saw her lick the blood off her lip.
When Jay slowly stood up, my voice completely died in my throat.
The life in her eyes was totally gone.
Her gaze was cold, hollow, and deadly—like she was ready to kill someone.
Before anyone could react, she moved.
It was pure chaos!
She charged herself at Kaizer’s men, hitting them with terrifying speed.
One by one, guys twice her size were crashing to the ground.
We were all screaming at her to stop, terrified for her, but she couldn’t hear us.
She was completely lost in rage.
She single-handedly brought down 35 men!
She got hit a lot in the process, but she didn’t even seem to feel it.
Only when the last guy fell did she finally stop.
Her legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor, hugging her knees and crying uncontrollably.
Suddenly, sirens echoed outside, and Angelo burst through the doors with backup!
Angelo’s men rushed to untie everyone, and as soon as my chains fell off, I ignored my injuries and ran straight to Jay.
The moment I reached her, Jay climbed into my arms, buried her face in my chest, and passed out.
Everything after that was a blur.
We were rushed to the hospital.
Within two hours, the doctors patched up everyone else.
But six hours passed, and Jay still hadn’t woken up.
I sat beside her bed, staring at her pale face, refusing to leave.
The door opened, and Angelo walked in looking serious.
Angelo: “What actually happened out there, Keifer?”
Keifer: “When I left school, I got a call from an unknown number.
It was the Monster.
He sent a location and said he had my brothers.
I called Section E for backup and went straight there.
But there were too many of them.
They brought everyone down, chained me up, beat me, and left.
A bit later, he came back with Jay.”
Angelo: “And then?”
Keifer: “They argued, and he slapped her.
As soon as she tasted her own blood…
she totally snapped.
She beat up all 35 men by herself before you arrived.”
Angelo (sighing): “I knew he came to my house, but I couldn’t get there fast enough.
Don’t worry, Keifer.
Jay is strong.
She’ll pull through.”
Just as he said that, we heard a soft gasp from the bed.
Jay was opening her eyes!
Jay-Jay POV:
The strong smell of hospital disinfectant hit me first.
I opened my eyes and saw Kuya, Keifer, and Aries standing above me with worried expressions.
Jay (weakly): “Kuya…
Keifer…”
“Jay!
Are you okay?!” they asked in unison.
I gave a small nod, but honestly, my body felt like it had been run over by a truck.
I forced myself to sit up against the pillows.
Angelo: “Jay, what did you and Kaizer talk about before all this happened?”
Jay: “He…
he knows that Drew is working for us, not for them.”
Keifer (shocked): “How is that even possible?!
We were so careful!”
Angelo: “How do you know he knows?”
I couldn’t tell them the truth—that I overheard his conversation with …..
So, I kept my face totally blank and lied.
Jay: “Kaizer told me himself.”
Angelo (frowning): “But how did he find out?”
Jay: “I don’t know…
he didn’t tell me.”
The room went completely silent.
My head was pounding, and I just wanted to be alone.
Jay: “I…
I want to rest now.
Can you guys leave for a bit?”
They nodded understandingly and started walking toward the door.
Jay: “Aries…”
Aries stopped and looked back at me, confused.
Jay: “Stay with me?”
Angelo and Keifer looked at each other, nodded, and quietly walked out, closing the door behind them.
Aries walked back and sat in the chair next to my bed, looking completely confused by my request, but he stayed silent and held my hand.
As the silence stretched between us,He looked at me with a mix of concern and lingering suspicion, sensing there was still something I was hiding.
“Jay…” Aries spoke softly, his voice dead serious.
“Are you sure there’s nothing else you’re keeping from me about Kaizer?”
My heart hammered against my ribs, but I kept my face completely blank.
“Nothing, Aries,” I lied quietly.
“Just promise me you’ll stay.”
