The corridors of the Gremory Estate were unusually lively.
Normally, the ancient manor was a place of elegance and serenity, its vast hallways bathed in the warm glow of enchanted lanterns that illuminated the carved stone walls and crimson carpets. The air carried the subtle scent of polished wood, aged wine, and traces of demonic power that lingered throughout the noble residence.
Outside, the night sky of the Underworld stretched endlessly overhead.
Countless crimson and violet stars glittered across the heavens, casting an otherworldly beauty over the landscape. Twin moons hung high above the devil lands, their pale radiance bathing the territory of House Gremory in silver light. Far beyond the estate, volcanic ridges slumbered beneath the night sky, their molten glow marking the borders of one of the oldest noble houses in existence.
Tonight, however, the atmosphere was anything but calm.
Servants and maids hurried through the hallways with excited expressions. Whispered conversations spread like wildfire among the staff.
The reason was simple.
An heir had been born.
The long-awaited daughter of House Gremory had finally arrived.
It was a joyous occasion that had filled the entire estate with celebration.
Inside one of the most luxurious chambers of the manor—the personal room of Venelana Gremory—the cry of a newborn child echoed through the air.
Wrapped in soft blankets was a baby girl.
A small patch of vibrant crimson hair rested atop her tiny head, and despite being only moments old, she was already unbelievably adorable.
Yet what truly drew attention was the crimson aura surrounding her.
Tiny waves of the Power of Destruction flowed from her body instinctively, causing the air around her to tremble slightly.
To anyone else, such power from a newborn would have been alarming.
To the two people beside her, however, it was completely irrelevant.
What mattered was the precious little girl herself.
Venelana cradled the infant lovingly in her arms.
The beautiful woman looked exhausted from childbirth, beads of sweat decorating her pale skin, while strands of silky falcon-colored hair clung lightly to her cheeks. Her brilliant violet eyes shone with affection as she gazed at her daughter.
Even in her weakened state, she possessed a breathtaking beauty that seemed almost unreal.
Beside her stood Sirzechs.
His long crimson hair cascaded down his back like flowing silk, while his emerald-green eyes remained fixed upon the child in fascination.
The handsome Devil King looked far gentler than usual.
The fearsome Crimson Satan had completely disappeared.
In his place stood only a loving father.
"Isn’t she adorable, Zechs?" Venelana asked softly.
Her voice was gentle and warm, carrying all the affection of a new mother.
A soft smile rested on her lips as she looked between her son and their daughter.
Sirzechs finally tore his gaze away from the baby and met her eyes.
"Of course she is, Mother."
His smile widened slightly.
"She is your daughter after all. How could she possibly not be adorable?"
Venelana laughed softly.
The exhaustion in her expression faded as happiness bloomed across her face.
"Oh, you and that sweet tongue of yours."
Though she spoke teasingly, the pleased look in her eyes betrayed just how much she enjoyed hearing those words.
A few moments later, she gently extended the baby toward him.
"Come. Hold your daughter, my love."
Sirzechs carefully accepted the infant into his arms.
Despite possessing enough power to destroy worlds, he held her with incredible care, as though she were the most fragile treasure in existence.
He settled himself beside Venelana on the bed before leaning forward and placing a gentle kiss upon her lips.
Afterward, his attention returned entirely to the little girl resting in his embrace.
For a moment, everything became quiet.
The responsibilities of a Devil King.
The endless politics.
The countless battles.
The burdens of power.
All of it seemed distant.
As he looked down at the baby in his arms, a profound sense of peace settled within his heart.
The little girl blinked her bright green eyes innocently at him.
She stared at his face for several seconds before suddenly giggling.
The adorable sound instantly melted the hearts of both parents.
Sirzechs chuckled softly.
He leaned down and placed a tender kiss upon her forehead before lightly stroking her tiny cheek with his finger.
The baby responded by grabbing his finger with surprising determination.
Then, to the amusement of both adults, she immediately shoved it into her mouth and began suckling on it.
For a moment, the room fell silent.
Then Venelana burst into laughter.
Sirzechs followed shortly after.
The sight was simply too adorable.
The newborn continued her determined assault on his finger while staring up at him with innocent eyes.
Watching her antics, both parents found themselves smiling brighter than ever before.
At that moment, there were no titles.
No politics.
No responsibilities.
Only a family.
A mother.
A father.
And their precious little daughter.
For the first time in a long while, the future seemed perfectly peaceful.
"Looks like she’s hungry," he said, gently handing the infant back to Venelana.
"Let me feed her some milk first, then," Venelana said before cradling the baby to her bosom. She pulled the strap of her dress from her shoulder, releasing her breasts from their confines. Taking hold of her breasts, she guided her nipple to the baby girl’s mouth.
Sirzechs watched them both and softly sighed, a sad look in his eyes. "Looks like there will be nothing left for me to drink from now on."
Venelana gave an amused chuckle at his words, her eyes turning sultry as she spoke. "How about milking me every morning then, like you used to do before I was in the serious stages of pregnancy? There will always be some left for you if you milk it properly from my cow titties."
Sirzechs gulped at her words, giving her an intense look like he was going to devour her and ravage her right there in front of their daughter. But then he glanced at the little one in her arms and sighed again, deflating.
Venelana giggled seeing him like this. "Patience, my love. Just a little more, and then you can have all the fun you want with me."
He nodded, then turned toward his mother and said, "Have you decided on a name for our daughter, Mother?"
Venelana looked thoughtful at his words. After some time, she said, "I have. I would like to name her Rias Gremory, but if you have any other name in mind, then we will settle for that."
She said this lightly, to which Sirzechs shook his head. "No, Rias is a very good name. I like it very much."
"From today onwards, this little one, my daughter, will be named Rias Gremory."
