After spending a few more hours with Venelana and his newborn daughter, Rias, Sirzechs finally left their room, allowing both mother and child to rest peacefully after the exhausting day.
With a thought, a crimson magic circle appeared beneath his feet.
The next moment, he arrived inside his personal study within the Gremory Estate.
It was a warm and comfortable room, designed equally for work and relaxation.
Towering bookshelves lined the walls, filled with countless tomes on magic, history, politics, and research accumulated over centuries.
A large mahogany desk occupied one side of the room, accompanied by an elegant chair crafted from enchanted wood. Several luxurious couches surrounded a low table in the center, creating a welcoming atmosphere for discussions or quiet reading.
Connected to the study was a private living area, complete with a spacious bedroom, a personal bath, and every convenience one could expect from the residence of a high-ranking devil noble.
Sirzechs walked across the room and lowered himself into the chair behind his desk.
Leaning back, he allowed his tense posture to relax for the first time that day.
His crimson eyes slowly drifted toward the translucent blue screen floating before him.
At the same time, his mind churned with thoughts as unfamiliar memories continued to surface.
They belonged to someone else.
A young human male in his early twenties.
An ordinary person who had lived an entirely mundane life in the Human World before meeting an unfortunate end in a tragic car accident.
Under normal circumstances, suddenly gaining decades’ worth of memories from a complete stranger would have left anyone confused, alarmed, or even questioning their own identity.
Yet Sirzechs remained calm.
If those memories were all he had received, he would merely have been puzzled about their origin and nothing more.
After all, he was not a young man.
He was a devil who had lived for centuries.
Compared to the vast ocean of experiences he had accumulated throughout his long life, a mere twenty years of another person’s memories were little more than a drop of water.
They could not shake his sense of self.
They could not alter who he was.
No.
What truly captured his attention was not the memories themselves.
What shocked him even more than the memories themselves was the existence of an anime called High School DxD within those memories.
According to the story, it revolved around an absurdly perverted protagonist named Issei Hyoudou who seemed incapable of going more than a few minutes without screaming about breasts.
The entire series appeared to be built upon fanservice, wish fulfillment, and enough torn clothing to make one question whether fabric even existed in that universe.
He Got powerful enough to challenge and defeat even universal class being through touching and squeezing boobs.
That was one of the many absurdity and brainless things that happened in the Anime.
Ordinarily, Sirzechs could have dismissed it as nothing more than a bizarre work of fiction.
What truly unsettled him was something else entirely.
The world depicted in the anime was disturbingly similar to his own.
The names.
The factions.
The bloodlines.
The people.
At first, he had simply watched with curiosity.
Then Rias Gremory appeared.
And the moment her name—and the mention of her elder brother—entered the story, Sirzechs nearly shattered the armrest of his chair.
His expression darkened.
His little sister in the Anime.
His precious daughter in reality.
The treasure of House Gremory.
Seeing the future that anime had planned for her left a bitter taste in his mouth.
And it only became worse.
Far worse.
The anime portrayed his wife eventually becoming another man’s woman, while the version of himself shown on screen seemed content to stand aside and accept everything.
The mere thought made Sirzechs’ eye twitch.
For a brief moment, the Power of Destruction leaked unconsciously into the room, causing cracks to spread through space itself.
He wanted to laugh.
Or perhaps destroy something.
Maybe both.
Part of him genuinely considered tearing open a dimensional rift, descending upon the Human World, and erasing the protagonist’s existence before the boy was ever born.
Fortunately, reason prevailed.
After calming himself, Sirzechs quickly realized that the world shown in the anime could not possibly be his world.
There were simply too many differences.
Too many inconsistencies.
His own reality had already diverged from that story countless times.
No.
The most logical explanation was that what he had seen was an alternate universe—one possibility among countless others.
And the Sirzechs shown there?
That wasn’t him.
Not even remotely.
Perhaps that version shared his face, name, and bloodline.
But they were fundamentally different people.
Sirzechs Lucifer was many things.
Patient.
Calm.
Reasonable.
But only when his family was not involved.
They were his reverse scale.
The moment someone threatened those he loved, all reason became secondary.
If anyone had attempted to force Rias into an unwanted marriage as depicted in that anime...
If House Phenex had truly tried to treat her as a bargaining chip...
And if his father had actually supported such a decision...
Then there would have been consequences.
Severe consequences.
By the time Sirzechs was finished, there wouldn’t have been enough survivors left to build a single tombstone.
His crimson eyes narrowed dangerously.
Fortunately, none of that had happened.
There was plenty of evidence supporting his theory that this world had diverged drastically from the one shown in the anime.
The most obvious example was his mother.
In the anime’s timeline, Venelana Gremory was undoubtedly powerful, but nowhere near the level she possessed in this reality. Here, she was a peak Satan-Class Devil, a monster whose strength stood near the summit of the Underworld.
And his father?
Sirzechs almost laughed.
After being caught cheating on Venelana with one of his mistresses, Zeoticus had been swiftly divorced and subsequently removed from the Gremory Estate.
The idea of his mother quietly tolerating such behavior was almost comical.
She was far too powerful—and far too proud—for that.
The thought that she would let her daughter suffer the same fate she had suffered was enough to make him amused even in his anger.
But that was merely the beginning.
