Five attribute points, free to distribute!

He hadn't drawn any powerful Skill Card, but instead an entirely new Bonus Card, which left Lin Qun disappointed for a moment.

But Lin Qun quickly steadied himself.Full novel: Apocalypse: I Can Infinite Card Draw Buffs — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It wasn't a powerful Skill Card, but with these five attribute points, who's to say he couldn't turn a Death Trap into a counter-kill!

Outside, a loud noise rumbled on and on—half the Property Management building had almost been flipped over by that Psionic Master, which was closing in step by step like the god of death.

There was no time to think too much.

Lin Qun stood up and ran straight for the window at the end of the corridor!

He was going to jump out through it.

And in the process, he swiftly used the Bonus Card, unhesitatingly putting all five attribute points into his Physique.

On his Personal Panel, his Physique Attribute instantly jumped from 13 to 18!

Almost twice the human limit!

And with the boost to his Physique, the panel data for Lin Qun's Headshot Girl Skill changed once again.

This time, the Physique cap for targets he could headshot reached a staggering 36 points, far exceeding three times the human limit!

Lin Qun refused to believe that this time, he still couldn't blow the head off that Bakatan Psionic Master!

His eyes stayed fixed on the window at the end of the corridor ahead.

He was going to smash straight through the window, catch it off guard, and pull off a Mid-air Sniper Shot!

But just then, a loud noise came from one side.

As Lin Qun ran, the wall on one side collapsed with a crash, and a twisted, deformed iron door, under the Psionic Master's control, smashed straight through the wall and slammed into him.

The immense force that hit him was no lighter than the blow he'd taken downstairs earlier, and this one struck him head-on—Lin Qun's body was sent flying backward, crashing through the corridor glass of the office behind him, and tumbling back inside!

Broken glass littered the floor.

In that moment, a thought flashed through Lin Qun's mind—he was certain he was finished.

A hit like that would leave him crippled if not dead, and he would lose his last chance...

That Psionic Master was too strong. It seemed to have already figured out the conditions for Lin Qun's ability, bombarding him through the wall and giving him no chance at all to lay "visual sight" on it.

Lin Qun refused to give up, instinctively pushing against the ground to stand—only to find that he got up with surprising ease, and aside from a burning sensation, he barely felt any pain at all!

As if nothing had happened to him.

Lin Qun himself froze for a moment.

He glanced down at his own body.

To his shock, he found that not a single shard of the broken glass covering the floor had cut him—at most his skin had reddened, nowhere near the point of bleeding.

It was the same with the blow he'd just taken—given that kind of force, he'd have expected all his ribs to be shattered, but the current situation was—

His clothes had cracked apart.

But he himself felt nothing.

It hadn't even been as bad as when the scrapped car had grazed him earlier.

"This is..."

Lin Qun wasn't stupid either—he immediately realized this was probably what Physique meant.

Because compared to before, he'd only gained five more attribute points.

Those five points were equivalent to half the human limit.

Eighteen points of Physique, nearly twice the human limit—this had shot his resilience to blows straight up.

Before, Lin Qun had always had a vague sense of the concept of Physique, not knowing what this so-called Physique actually meant or which aspect of the body it represented, but now he finally understood.

Physique was a Buff to the strength of the entire body...

At eighteen points, he could take that hit head-on—if it went even higher, wouldn't that mean he'd become invulnerable to blade and blow alike?

If that was true, then any of these attributes, pushed to an extremely high level, would be utterly terrifying—no special ability needed, and still unstoppable.

Of course, now wasn't the time to be thinking about all this. Even as these thoughts flashed through his mind like electric light, his body was already moving, taking off in a run.

At this point, he no longer needed to make it to the window.

Because the wall had already been smashed through by that iron door earlier.

That Bakatan Psionic Master was right outside!

Cutting through billowing smoke and dust, Lin Qun's Figure burst out at high speed—in that instant, he felt the air around him nearly freeze solid—but his gaze also pierced through the Shadow in that same moment, locking onto the Psionic Master.

It made no attempt at evasion.

Lin Qun had already entered the range of its Psionic Power. Though it was surprised that its last strike hadn't finished off this human, it had also noticed the Human Military forces closing in below. It didn't want to waste time—it would use its Psionic Power to crush this high-potential human directly.

As for this human's attacks... they could never kill it anyway.

Taking a bit of damage while killing him as soon as possible was an acceptable trade!

A cold, ghostly light flashed in unison across all four of its eyes, and its Psionic Power locked on and fired!

Lin Qun felt that invisible, terrifying pressure bearing down on him, as if it meant to crush his entire body to pulp.

His eyes filled with blood, and blood began pouring from his ears, nose, and mouth—in a few more seconds, even with 18 points of Physique, he would be crushed alive like a cockroach by this Psionic Master.

But Lin Qun didn't retreat. Instead, he strode forward, his gaze locked on, activating his ability as he roared, "Go to hell!"

A Physique cap of thirty-six points, and you think I still can't blow your head off?

Let's see whose is faster—your Psionic Power, or my lock on you!

At that moment, down on the ground, Jiang Bin had also fought his way over.

He raised his gun and lifted his head, ready to fight this Psionic Master to the death.

Jiang Bin had already made peace with the thought of dying in action.

Because there were only a handful of them, without any decent Heavy weapons—confronting this Psionic Master was basically seeking death!

But even if it meant dying in action, as a Soldier, he would never retreat.

What he hadn't expected was that before he could even fire a shot, he heard Lin Qun's furious roar, followed by a dull thud...

Jiang Bin's pupils contracted instantly.

Because the head of that extraordinarily powerful Bakatan Psionic Master had, in that very instant, abruptly exploded!

Just like all those other Bakatan people who'd been headshot before.

The exact same way—struck down dead on the spot!

That Bakatan Psionic Master could never have dreamed that this human before it, who moments ago hadn't even been its match, could suddenly turn the tables and kill it in an instant!

Unfortunately, it had no time left to regret it.

Having crawled back from death's door, Lin Qun watched the Psionic Master die and finally let out a long breath, a wave of excitement washing over him.

He'd pulled off the counter-kill!

The one who'd died was that arrogant Bakatan.

A prompt appeared before his eyes.

It showed that he'd killed a Bakatan, earning 1 Contribution Point and a full six hundred experience!

Combined with his earlier harvest, he was almost there—the twelve hundred experience he needed to go from level 5 to level 6!

The equivalent of twelve ordinary Bakatan people's worth of experience!

This Psionic Master really was a high-experience elite boss!

And the scene of Lin Qun's Instant Kill of the Psionic Master shook everyone present, witnessed by the nearby Warriors and Bakatan people alike—the Bakatan felt their livers and gallbladders split, and Wang Desheng was greatly surprised as well, instinctively glancing toward Li Xinghe beside him.

But Li Xinghe's gaze was fixed unwaveringly on the man standing at the break in the Property Management building!

It was that big shot!

He'd finally laid eyes on the big shot himself!

Jiang Bin's shock was even harder to put into words—he'd personally faced a Psionic Master before, and had seen his own Troops slaughtered and routed by one.

Bakatan Psionic Masters were an immense threat, usually requiring overwhelming Firepower and a heavy price paid just to bring one down.

Even though that Bakatan Psionic Master hadn't come from the Bakatan Military and its Strength might not have been all that impressive, still... to see it killed so effortlessly, in an instant, left him heart-pounding all the same.

He stared intently at Lin Qun standing high up in the fierce wind, then turned his gaze to Li Xinghe behind him—the one who'd charged out first but had been slacking off ever since.

He finally understood...

"It's you! You're the real hidden expert of Dragon City Imperial Scenery—you're the one who chased down that Bakatan airship and killed it!"
