[Cabinet Holds Emergency Meeting at 3 A.M.: Suspected Supernatural Event Occurred in the Country!]

The Prime Minister of R Country appeared on television with an ashen expression.

“This is a serious provocation against our national sovereignty! We must investigate this thoroughly!”

On international forums, netizens from different countries were discussing the incident frantically.

A Country netizens expressed their suspicion:

“An alien robbery?”

M Country netizens gloated:

“Oh my god, what mysterious organization did R Country offend?”

The people of Huaguo were happily watching the spectacle.

“What’s it got to do with us? But we’re laughing so hard.”

At that very moment, the culprit, Su Le’an, was lying on the king-sized bed of a five-star hotel, crossing her legs while munching on an apple.

System: “Host, R Country is now under full martial law. All flights leaving the country have been suspended.”

Su Le’an raised an eyebrow.

“Oh? Then has my ‘anonymous letter’ been sent?”

System: “It has been sent through the dark web to the highest-level encrypted channel of the Huaguo National Security Bureau.”

The screens of the phones belonging to every senior official in Huaguo suddenly went black. A single line of text appeared:

“The disappearance of R Country’s supplies was my doing. Please evacuate all Huaguo citizens immediately. Three days from now, I will tell you something concerning the survival of Huaguo. —Fox”

The senior officials were shaken and immediately held an emergency meeting to discuss whether the evacuation operation was feasible.

The final frame recorded by the surveillance cameras before they malfunctioned was playing repeatedly on the large screen.

The supplies on the shelves seemed to have been erased by an invisible hand. Not even a trace of dust remained.

The Director tapped the table.

“Have you found out who ‘Fox’ is?”

The technician was sweating profusely.

“The other party’s hacking skills are far beyond ours… The IP address has jumped between locations across the Pacific Ocean 666 times.”

A virtual figure appeared in one of the seats.

It was Lu Chenzhou.

After remaining silent for a long time, he suddenly spoke.

“I think I may have seen her before.”

Everyone’s eyes focused on Lu Chenzhou.

Lu Chenzhou lightly tapped the table and brought up the surveillance footage from the alley.

In the footage, a girl wearing a Fox Mask suddenly appeared out of thin air. A faint green light glowed from her fingertips as she healed his wounds.

“She can turn invisible, heal injuries, and even knows when the enemy’s reinforcements will arrive.”

Lu Chenzhou’s eyes grew deep and solemn.

“This isn’t something current human technology can accomplish.”

After a moment of silence in the meeting room, the leader made the final decision.

“Do as she said! Initiate the evacuation immediately!”

Su Le’an was scrolling through the news about Huaguo’s chartered evacuation flights, feeling deeply moved.

As expected of Huaguo.

Every time she saw the line written on the back of her passport, she felt like crying from emotion.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Huaguo requests that the military and government authorities of all countries provide convenience and necessary assistance to the bearer of this passport.”

As Su Le’an was thinking about this, she suddenly felt a chill run down her back.

System: “Host! Lu Chenzhou is at your ten o’clock!”

Su Le’an abruptly raised her head and happened to meet those deep, bottomless black eyes.

The man was dressed in casual clothes, but the sharp aura surrounding him was still impossible to ignore.

Su Le’an smiled at him on the surface.

How is it him again?!

Lu Chenzhou walked straight over and sat down in the seat beside her.

“Miss Lin, we meet again.”

Su Le’an’s fingers tightened unconsciously around the passport in her hand.

“Mm. What a coincidence. We meet again, sir.”

System, System, where are you? Hurry up and change the name on my passport to my real identity. I have a feeling he’s going to investigate me!

“Okay. The task has been completed.”

“System, you’re the best! You’re really amazing!”

After taking care of this, Su Le’an relaxed somewhat.

Lu Chenzhou noticed that she seemed to be distracted. Suddenly, he leaned toward her. His warm breath brushed against the edge of her ear.

“Then why do you have the same gardenia fragrance on you as ‘Fox’?”

Su Le’an had never been this close to a man before. Not even in her previous life.

The tips of her ears instantly turned red, but she still spoke calmly.

“What Fox? Sir, do you have a fox? Gardenia smells nice. I like it, so I sprayed a little perfume. I hope it doesn’t bother you.”

System! How does he remember that?!

System: “…Maybe you sprayed too much perfume?”

“Get lost. Ծ‸Ծ”

“Geez, you use me and then throw me away. What a heartless woman.”

Lu Chenzhou stared at her for two seconds before suddenly chuckling.

“I see.”

She’s just indirectly saying that I’m being too nosy.

The plane took off.

Lu Chenzhou asked as if it were an offhand remark,

“You went to R Country for a trip, yet happened to catch the evacuation. What a coincidence.”

Su Le’an pretended to read a magazine.

“Yeah. I guess I was unlucky.”

“What’s even more coincidental is…”

Lu Chenzhou suddenly grabbed her wrist.

“On the night ‘Fox’ appeared, the surveillance footage showed that the door of your hotel room suddenly opened in the middle of the night when no one was there.”

Su Le’an remained calm on the surface.

“Wow, really? That’s terrifying. That hotel wouldn’t happen to be haunted, would it? Hmm, I definitely won’t stay there the next time I travel.”

Damn, he’s investigating me?!

Lu Chenzhou’s thumb slowly brushed against the skin of her wrist. His voice was dangerous yet strangely alluring.

“Your body temperature is 36.5 degrees Celsius. Your pulse is 110 beats per minute. Miss Su, what are you nervous about?”

Identity Verification activated.

【Lu Chenzhou, 28 years old, Captain of Huaguo’s Special Forces Unit “Shadow Blade,” not infected with the virus】

【Hidden Information: Memories of his previous life have returned. Countdown: 24 days, 6 hours, 44 seconds】

Su Le’an abruptly pulled her hand back and smiled at him.

“Mr. Lu, your way of flirting is outdated.”

Lu Chenzhou let out a low laugh and suddenly leaned close to her ear.

“Next time you turn invisible and go out in the middle of the night, remember to close the door behind you.”

Su Le’an put on an expression of complete confusion and took out her phone.

“Sir, please don’t make baseless accusations. Would you like me to give you the phone number of a psychiatric hospital?”

Su Le’an looked perfectly serious on the outside, but internally she was screaming.

System! Save me! If he keeps asking questions, I’m going to have to pretend I’ve suddenly developed motion sickness! Is your invisibility really reliable?

System: “…You can doubt the quality of my System, but you absolutely cannot question my abilities. How could they possibly be unreliable?”

“Although I occasionally go crazy, I’m very reliable most of the time. Host, he’s definitely trying to trick you into confessing!”

When they got off the plane, Su Le’an accidentally overheard a conversation and felt extremely embarrassed.

A mother carrying a child kept checking her watch.

“Honey, why do you think they suddenly evacuated us? My research group’s data hasn’t even been backed up yet…”

A man in a suit lowered his voice.

“My classmate works at the R Country Ministry of Commerce. He said they suspect a Huaguo company was involved in the warehouse theft.”

Su Le’an silently apologized in her heart.

She had never expected that her habit of taking everything she passed would end up causing her fellow countrymen to take the blame.

After returning to Huaguo, Su Le’an arrived at an underground command center.

Wearing her Fox Mask, she was brought there through the virtual projection generated by her computer to attend the meeting.

Facing a room full of senior officials and decorated generals, she took a deep breath.

“On June 44, 4044, at 4:44 a.m., X Virus will break out across the world. Sixty percent of humanity will become zombies.

“Because this catastrophic event will occur in the middle of the night, many people will die unknowingly in their sleep.”

She brought up a simulated image of the Apocalypse that had been preloaded by the System.

“And the only drug capable of delaying infection in ordinary people, α-7, is already in my possession. I am willing to hand it over to the nation free of charge.

“I hope everyone here can survive. You are the leaders of Huaguo and the ones who will maintain order during the Apocalypse.

“As long as you are still here, order will remain. Our chances of surviving the end of the world or bringing the Apocalypse under control will increase greatly.”

Su Le’an signaled the System to transmit the medicine from the System Space to everyone present.

“The medicine is precious, so I hope everyone will drink it now. The remaining doses will be given to the researchers for study. I hope they can develop a way to save more survivors.”

Some of the senior officials hesitated while others exchanged meaningful glances.

Fortunately, with Lu Chenzhou taking the lead and drinking it first, everyone else drank the medicine as well.

Lu Chenzhou sat upright in his seat, his eyes fixed intently on her.

“So, ‘Fox,’ you’re trying to save us?”

Su Le’an nodded.

“…You can understand it that way.”

The leader spoke solemnly.

“What support do you need?”

“First, secretly stockpile grain nationwide.

“Second… please protect yourselves. You are the pillars that keep Huaguo stable.”

The meeting ended, and Su Le’an’s virtual projection disappeared.
