The next morning, after breakfast, everyone went out again to gather information. Since they had decided to stay at the base for a few days, it was a good chance to learn more. With so many people in the base, they could find out much more than Mo Han’s small team alone.

Situ Yu looked helplessly at Mo Han, who was still lying on the bed, sleeping with his head covered. He pushed him and said, “Brother Han, get up. Aren’t you going to eat breakfast?”

Mo Han lay on the bed and didn’t even want to open his eyes. “I’m not eating. Don’t wake me up. I want to sleep.” Being able to sleep peacefully was one of life’s greatest joys. Ever since the apocalypse began, Mo Han had almost forgotten what it felt like to sleep in.Full novel: Apocalypse Plot Twist: Oops! Seeing that Mo Han refused to get up, Situ Yu found it amusing and mischievously pinched his nose.

“Situ Yu!” Mo Han suddenly shouted. The shout startled Xue Ying, who was climbing onto Xue Ling’s back. Its legs slipped, and it fell onto the floor.

Looking at Situ Yu’s shameless smile, Mo Han was extremely annoyed. He finally had the chance to sleep in! He felt that saving Situ Yu back then had been a terrible mistake. He should have just let him follow the original storyline.

Situ Yu said in a teasing tone, like talking to a child, “Get up and eat. If you skip breakfast, you won’t grow taller.”

Mo Han grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. “Get lost! Do you think I’m a kid?!” He almost said, “Why don’t you go find your Sun Xue?” but swallowed the words. What did that have to do with him? Still, he felt strangely irritated.

Still not satisfied, he grabbed another pillow and threw it at Situ Yu before slowly getting up. Even though he wanted to keep sleeping, today wasn’t the right time. He needed to eat something in the morning in case they had to move around a lot later.

Following behind him, Situ Yu said, “Brother Han, I didn’t eat either. Don’t forget to cook my portion.”

Mo Han rolled his eyes. “If you didn’t eat, what were you doing?”

Situ Yu grinned. “I was studying how a certain lazy pig could sleep in for so long.”

“Situ Yu! Why don’t you just die!” Mo Han almost threw a frying pan at him but managed to hold back. Thinking about how Situ Yu kept buzzing around him like a mosquito early in the morning, Mo Han felt that half of his anger had strangely disappeared.

After breakfast, Mo Han lay on the bed, bored, poking Xue Ying’s slightly chubby belly while silently calculating the time. It should be about time now.

Suddenly, Situ Yu leaned close and asked, “Xiao Han, what are you thinking about? You look so focused.”

Mo Han pushed his face away in disgust. “If you want to talk, then talk properly. Don’t get so close.”

“I want to get close. What are you going to do about it?” Situ Yu said as he tried to lean in again.

“Mo Han, something’s wrong! Xiao Cheng is fighting with someone!” At that moment, Zhou Wu suddenly kicked the door open and shouted.

Both Mo Han and Situ Yu were startled.

Mo Han’s hand slipped. His hand, which had been pushing Situ Yu’s face, slid aside—and Situ Yu couldn’t stop in time. He ended up kissing the corner of Mo Han’s lips.

For a moment, the three of them froze completely, as if time had stopped. They didn’t even remember to breathe. Only Xue Ling and Xue Ying looked at them in confusion.

“Situ Yu, I’ll kill you!” Frost instantly spread across the entire bed from where Mo Han sat.

Situ Yu jumped up like a spring and laughed awkwardly. “That was an accident! We’re both men, no need to react so strongly, right?”

Zhou Wu also snapped back to his senses and quickly said, “Mo Han, stop messing around. Brother Cheng is fighting someone. Hurry and come help!”

Mo Han wanted to drag both Zhou Wu and Situ Yu into the original storyline. Was he the one messing around?! Was this his fault?! Ever since he saved these people, they had only caused him more trouble. Was this punishment for changing the story?!

“Lead the way!” Mo Han said coldly, holding back his anger.

Zhou Wu nodded and hurried out.

Walking behind them, Situ Yu licked his lips. He realized he didn’t seem to dislike what just happened.

“It’s him! It’s him!” While they were on the way, someone suddenly shouted. A wall of earth quickly rose up, blocking their path.

Xue Ling immediately growled in warning at the man standing on top of the wall.

The young man pointed at Situ Yu and said to the person above, “Master, he’s the one who injured the young master! I recognize his scent!”

“Master?” Mo Han frowned slightly as he looked at the pale man standing on the wall. He remembered the description of this base from the story. The base was called Qiushui Base, controlled by three factions: Night Pavilion, Lion Tiger Hall, and Skyfire Hall. Since this man was called “Master,” he must be Lin Wen, the leader of the Night Pavilion.

But in the original story, Lin Wen and Night Pavilion didn’t act at this point. Why was he here now?!

Mo Han looked coldly at Situ Yu. “Explain why you caused this trouble.”

Situ Yu said weakly, “His son wanted me to be his male companion, so I crippled him.”

That was a reason no one could really argue with—but why did it make Mo Han even angrier? He rubbed his temples and asked Lin Wen, “So what do you want?”

Lin Wen sneered darkly. “Simple. Let that boy destroy his own powers, then go serve my son.”

“Why don’t you go die first!” Mo Han attacked in anger, sending several ice blades flying at Lin Wen.

“Pathetic,” Lin Wen sneered, quickly forming a wall of earth to block the attack.

“Xue Ling,” Mo Han called softly. Xue Ling immediately understood and transferred its power to him.

“Ice Form—Hammer!” A giant ice hammer, as big as a car, formed instantly and smashed down toward Lin Wen.

Lin Wen’s face changed. He quickly jumped down and turned the earth wall into a dome to protect himself.

“Know your limits,” Mo Han said coldly. Before his words even finished, the ice hammer crushed the entire dome flat.

Moments later, the ground bulged. Lin Wen had dug underground to escape. But before he could fully crawl out, he coughed up blood and fainted, his life uncertain.

After dealing with Lin Wen, Mo Han turned back to Situ Yu and Zhou Wu, forcing out a smile uglier than crying. “So I’m warning you—don’t make me angry. When I get angry, even I’m afraid of myself.”

Zhou Wu and Situ Yu both nodded nervously. That was terrifying.
