“Alright, let’s part ways here.”

Standing in front of the C City government building, Shen Yuan said goodbye to Zhong Tianxiang and the others. There were not many zombies nearby, so it was a good place to say farewell.

After many days, they finally arrived at C City. But their goals were different, so they had to separate.Full novel: Apocalypse Plot Twist: Oops! I fell for the Side character — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Zhong Tianxiang came to C City to find his parents. Xiao Cheng and the others originally followed Ye Qingtang because she wanted to find her parents here. After she was taken away by Jiang Qian, they decided to go to her home, believing she would return there.

Zhou Wu looked at Mo Han and asked,

“Mo Han, will you come with us or go with Zhong Tianxiang?”

Mo Han felt very conflicted. Honestly, he didn’t want to follow the main characters’ path. But he was using the original body’s identity—if he didn’t go with Zhong Tianxiang and instead stayed with Shen Yuan’s group, it would look suspicious.

But he really wanted to go with Shen Yuan’s group.

Anyone could see his hesitation. He wanted to decide quickly, but inside he was screaming, I can’t choose!

Si Tu Yu suddenly spoke,

“I’m not going with Brother Shen Yuan. I’m going to find my brother. Mo Han, who are you going with?”

Everyone reacted differently.

Shen Yuan frowned and said,

“Brother Yu, this is not the time to fool around.”

He wanted Si Tu Yu to grow, but not at the cost of his life. Traveling alone now was almost like suicide.

Si Tu Yu shook his head.

“I’m not joking. I decided this long ago. My brother said he would go to X City. If I keep going forward, I’ll reach it.”

Zhao Yan said,

“You can come with us first. Then we can go to X City together. It’s too dangerous to go alone.”

Shen Yuan raised his hand to stop him. He knew Si Tu Yu’s personality—once he decided something, no one could change his mind. But he also trusted that Si Tu Yu wouldn’t act without confidence.

“Since you’ve decided, I won’t stop you. Just take responsibility for your choice.”

Si Tu Yu nodded.

“I will.”

Then he looked at Mo Han.

“So, Brother Han, want to come with me?”

Mo Han clicked his tongue.

“Fine, I’ll go with you. I can’t just watch you go die.”

He quickly decided to go with Si Tu Yu. It definitely wasn’t because he cared—it was just that he didn’t want to follow those terrifying main characters.

Sun Xue suddenly asked,

“Then… can Zhao Qian and I come with you too?”

Mo Han’s face darkened immediately. Xue Ying, lying in his arms, looked confused, not knowing what had upset him again.

Si Tu Yu looked conflicted. After a moment, he shook his head.

“You should stay with Brother Shen Yuan. It’s too dangerous for me. You could die at any time.”

Mo Han’s face became even darker. So you’re worried about Sun Xue dying, but you dragged me along instead?!

Sun Xue looked sad.

“Yu… you know I’m not afraid of that. Can’t you give me another chance?”

Si Tu Yu sighed.

“That’s enough, Sun Xue. Don’t say anything more.”

A moment ago, Mo Han was sulking, but now his curiosity exploded. His eyes secretly moved between the two of them. He really wanted to know their relationship… but he forced himself not to pry.

Sun Xue opened her mouth, but said nothing more. She walked back to Zhao Qian.

Since everyone had decided, it was time to leave.

Zhong Tianxiang sighed and said to Mo Han,

“Take care of yourself.”

Mo Han nodded.

“You too.”

Shen Yuan said,

“Let’s part here. We’ll meet again someday.”

“We’ll meet again.”

The three groups said goodbye and walked in different directions.

Honestly, Mo Han felt it was a pity he couldn’t rely on Shen Yuan. Even though Shen Yuan would later die, that future could still change. Compared to him, the person beside him now seemed far less reliable.

He glanced at the carefree Si Tu Yu and felt his future was very dark.

Si Tu Yu suddenly leaned closer and grinned.

“Tell me honestly—did you choose to come with me because you’re worried about me?”

Mo Han looked disgusted.

“As if I care whether you live or die! And how dare you call yourself ‘big brother’? I’m older than you!”

Remembering that he was indeed older in this body, Mo Han immediately said,

“Hurry, call me ‘big brother!’”

Si Tu Yu rolled his eyes.

“In your dreams. Now take out the bicycle. The others are far away—no one will see.”

Earlier, all their bicycles had been destroyed, and they didn’t have enough replacements. So they had been walking. Mo Han still had bicycles in his storage space, but he didn’t want others to know.

With a thought, Mo Han took out two bicycles.

Si Tu Yu looked at them, raised his eyebrow, and casually sent out a wind blade—destroying one of the bikes.

Mo Han exploded in anger.

“Si Tu Yu! Are you crazy?! If you don’t give me a good reason, I’ll strangle you!”

Si Tu Yu said calmly,

“I already told you—you ride too slow and will delay us. I’ll take you instead.”

He got on the bike and said,

“Get on.”

Mo Han gritted his teeth.

“No! I’ll ride on Xue Ling instead!”

He started walking toward Xue Ling.

Si Tu Yu frowned.

“You’re so heavy. What if you hurt Xue Ling? You look honest, but your thoughts are so evil.”

“I—You—you called me fat?! And evil?!”

Mo Han trembled with anger.

“Alright, hurry up. We need to go,” Si Tu Yu urged.

In the end, Mo Han reluctantly sat on the back seat, holding Xue Ying.

At that moment, he wished he could suddenly gain a lot of weight—just to crush Si Tu Yu.
