[Name: Sunny Lee]
[Other Names: Sunny Game]
[Age: 23]
"I so much hate that surname; can’t I get the name Sunny Game instead?" she muttered under her breath in exasperation.
[You have to make do with this, hun.]
"Ugh..." she groaned as she looked at herself in the mirror. "I’m a mess. How would Donovan react if he saw me like this?"
Her face scrunched up in disgust at the thought.
She quickly walked into the bathhouse, and was happy this train station had one; you hardly see such in train stations these days.
I am only familiar with this one because it’s exactly like the ones in South Korea.
Once she was done, she was confused about what to wear next.
[Do you wish to buy new clothes for 10 Korian dollars?]
[Yes] [No]
Yes.
[Leave the bathhouse and your clothes will be on you.]
Holy smokes, this is exhilarating! Having a system in life is a must!
Sunny did as she was told. She quickly stepped out of the bathhouse only to find that she was already in a black dress, similar to what she wore last time, and she was overjoyed.
She spun. "Fuck, the dress is just the size I love! Thank you so much, system!"
A little giggle escaped her, and the people around gave her a look that said, is she crazy? She just cleared her throat and started off to the exit so she could get out of here.
Talking to the system outside definitely wasn’t a good idea.
So what’s the next mission, my beloved system?
Sunny swooned as she hopped while walking along the busy street. Now that she was in clean clothes she felt much more confident than ever to see her beloved Donovan.
[Acquire the merchandise before Donovan.]
[Award: 10,000 Korian Dollars and A piece of Donovan’s future intercepted.]
[Will you accept?]
[Yes/No]
Sunny halted immediately and then remembered what this mission was about. This was the exact time Donovan was meant to buy an old pendant from the auction house.
That pendant.
Her eyes narrowed into a glare. That pendant was one of the artifacts that saved him from a near-death experience and also one of the keys to him becoming a sacrifice.
She clenched her fist.
There is nowhere in hell I am going to let you go through this again, Donovan!
Over my dead body!
Yes, I accept.
[The Auction will start in the next 1 hour.]
"I know."
Looking at the side of the road, she immediately caught eyes with a cab and hailed it to a stop.
The cab immediately stopped for her and she hopped in.
"Lily’s Auction house."
The cab immediately hit the brakes and sped forward. Sunny watched as the buildings moved fast before her eyes, yet her mind didn’t care for it one bit.
The only thing echoing in her head was...
What the fuck am I going to do if I meet him???
She kept on tapping her foot, her fingers shaking while she chewed on her bottom lip. If someone saw her now, they would think she was doing this out of fear.
But she was really nervous to see her beloved.
"Miss, are you new here? You look like a foreigner," the driver suddenly asked in a cheerful and friendly tone.
But Sunny was not having it.
She frowned, turned to the driver, and spat out rudely, "Keep your eyes on the road, sir, I am in a hurry."
That was all. The driver’s face changed to anger, but it was only for a split second. He looked away and continued driving.
"Kids these days.." he muttered under his breath, but Sunny heard him perfectly well.
Me? A kid? She scoffed at the audacity of the man to insult her like that. She was a full-grown woman, ripe in age, and she wouldn’t tolerate a fat man with a puffed-up face calling her a child.
But for today, for Donovan, her beloved, she would let it slide.
She released a sigh, calming down her thoughts, just as the cab parked right at her destination.
She opened the door without any hesitation and slammed it rudely, before handing the driver his cash.
He was about to get change for her, but she stopped him.
"Keep the change. I know what you were trying to do. I hope you have the intellectual capability to not try that again sometimes. It makes you less like a human being and more of a monster." She then turned around and walked away.
She heard the driver calling out for her, but she swayed her hips, kept her head high, and kept on walking.
He should be lucky I didn’t say a single curse word.
Lily’s auction house followed the theme of a pirate ship. Once you walked through the automatic glass doors, the interior looked like you had just walked onto a galleon. Wooden walls, and even the tables looked old and wooden.
Seeing this before her eyes, rather than reading it, was a feast.
Oh my fucking god, so pretty!!!
She rushed for a statue of a man in pirate clothes. That must be Lily’s grandfather! It’s so majestic!
She rushed to another stand, where there was a chest on top of it, and there were real gold coins, jewellery, and stuff inside.
Oh my god, is that a real treasure box?! How old are these?! Does someone clean them every day???
[The host should not forget the mission.]
The system pulsed before her very eyes, and she recoiled, taking a step back and immediately focusing back on her mission.
Sorry, treasures, but my Donovan comes first.
Adjusting her stance and her clothes, she walked calmly to the door that was described in the book. Two knocks and a sweet voice drifted from the inside.
"Password."
"Honey~ I am home!" Sunny echoed in a cold but teasing tone. The wooden door made a squeak before finally opening completely.
Sunny sighed in relief. She thought she might have forgotten the password.
She walked into the auction house, only to find guns pointed at her.
Woah.... What a lovely welcome.
"Who are you? And how do you know the security code of our Auction house?" A lady in a pure red pirate outfit, with long, wavy, shiny black hair and blue eyes, asked. Sunny shivered.
A second ago, her voice was mellow and soft.
But now it sounded like ice.
What am I to say? That I read it from a book?!
System! Help out!
[You know the answer to this question perfectly.]
Sunny frowned. She didn’t understand what the system meant. As she stood there with her hands up and her eyes zeroed in on the beautiful woman, a memory sparked in her head. A cold smile curled at the corner of her lips.
"I am Sunny Game, the girlfriend of Donovan Fallon."
