In the apocalypse, living creatures were an incredibly rare sight, especially in a zombie-themed dungeon like this one.

Yuna Bishop and her grandmother had raised Noir very well.

The moment those players saw Noir, their mouths started to water.

It had been a long time since they’d had any fresh meat.

They didn’t dare touch human flesh yet, but dog meat…

that was a different story.

It smelled delicious.

The players exchanged a glance and immediately started to circle Noir, their eyes glinting with greed.

They paid Yuna Bishop no mind at all, not thinking for a second that she would have the guts to stop them.

The sharp blades of their knives flashed with a chilling light.

Yuna Bishop’s expression darkened, and she moved to shield Noir behind her.

“Ooh, the little lady has a temper, doesn’t she?”

The man sauntered forward with a lewd grin, clearly trying to provoke Yuna Bishop.

“Don’t worry, we’ll give you a leg later.

Come on, you can help us—”

The man’s words died in his throat.

With the crisp sound of a round being chambered, a dark muzzle was pointed right at him.

Yuna Bishop smiled faintly.

The timid, fearful look she had before was gone, replaced by a ruthless aura.

“Y-You, let me tell you something!

We’re not a bunch of pushovers you can scare.”

“Don’t think we don’t know how much guns cost!

You think you have enough bullets in there to kill all of us?!”

The man was all bluster, shouting at Yuna Bishop to hide his fear.

“You’re right,” Yuna Bishop said.

“I only have three bullets.

I definitely can’t kill all of you.”

“But why would I need to kill all of you?”

She tilted her head, her dark eyes locked on him as the smile on her lips widened.

“I just need to make sure you’re the one who dies.”

“I’m sure you wouldn’t mind making a fearless sacrifice for your brothers, right?”

“This handgun has 50 points of Attack Damage.

I should be able to take out more than just one person, right?”

Yuna Bishop’s gaze swept over the group as she threatened them slowly, word by word.

If they wanted to kill her and Noir, fine.

It would be a life for a life.

But would any of them be willing to be the one to die?

‘Impossible.’

“Little lady, don’t be so impulsive.

We were just joking, right?

Just a joke.”

The player beside Yuna Bishop shot his companions a look, signaling for them all to rush her at once.

‘I don’t believe this little bitch actually dares to shoot.’

At the player’s signal, his companions on the left and right lunged at Yuna Bishop!

To their disappointment, Yuna Bishop did dare to shoot.

And she didn’t just have one gun.

A Nail Gun counted as a gun, too.

A loud shot rang out.

One of the players who had been about to charge forward froze in place.

“You…

you—”

He stared at Yuna Bishop in disbelief.

‘She…

she actually fired?!’

‘This is murder!’

Instead of bullets, it was nails that flew.

The Nail Gun had a capacity of seven rounds.

Yuna Bishop fired a rapid burst, and three nails found their mark.

Two players died on the spot.

They might have looked tough, but their Blood Volume wasn’t necessarily higher than Yuna Bishop’s.

Then again, Yuna Bishop’s own Blood Volume was also very low.

Seeing their comrades on the ground, the remaining players’ eyes hardened.

People had already died.

If they ran now, it would be a betrayal of that sacrifice.

Taking advantage of the moment Yuna Bishop was reloading, they grabbed their weapons and charged her.

Noir leaped in front of Yuna Bishop, baring his sharp teeth and claws to face the two players head-on.

The bite force of an eighty-pound dog is terrifying.

Noir likely had some hound blood in him.

Yuna Bishop and her grandmother lived in the countryside, surrounded by mountains.

Noir would often go into the mountains and bring back prey to supplement Yuna Bishop’s diet.

Boosted by his Talent, Noir didn’t lose any ground at all, even in a two-on-one fight.

In fact, the two players were covered in wounds from Noir, and their Blood Volume was dropping fast.

Yuna Bishop had long since finished reloading.

Facing her handgun, the remaining players were wary and didn’t dare to advance recklessly.

However, Yuna Bishop didn’t want to use up her bullets unless absolutely necessary.

Under Noir’s fierce assault, the few remaining players were already down to critical health.

Protected by Noir, Yuna Bishop was completely unscathed.

Suddenly, one of the players at the back secretly pulled a Crossbow from his Backpack Grids and aimed it at Yuna Bishop.

Just then, the terrifying cry of an eagle and the roar of a tiger suddenly echoed in the players’ ears!

Before the player with the Crossbow could even react, a massive, bloody maw had already crushed his head!

A colossal figure appeared before them, stepping on the player’s corpse.

It was an abnormally large white tiger, and there was a person sitting on its back.

An eagle circling in the sky easily sliced through the other players’ arteries with its sharp talons, and blood sprayed out like water.

“What…

did you think you were doing to that cute little dog?”

The man on the tiger’s back stared coldly at the players, his voice devoid of any warmth.

“…”

Yuna Bishop was speechless.

‘This guy must be that Beast Tamer, Sylas.’

‘Thanks a lot.

If he’d shown up any later, I could have killed all these players myself.’

‘Now…

I only got two of them.’

It wasn’t that Yuna Bishop hadn’t seen the player with the Crossbow.

Sylas had an androgynous face—bewitchingly beautiful, so stunning he hardly looked real.

His long, silver-white hair, combined with the white tiger that carried him, the giant eagle circling overhead, and the wild beasts lurking in every corner, made him look less like a Beast Tamer and more like a Priest.

Sylas didn’t wait for the players to answer.

With a casual wave of his hand, all of them—except for Yuna Bishop and Noir—were killed by the beasts he’d raised.

The scene was exceptionally bloody.

Yuna Bishop silently and discreetly collected the loot from the two players she had killed, stashing it in her Backpack Grids.

“Are you all right?”

Sylas’s attitude toward Yuna Bishop was much better than it had been toward the other players.

He even offered a rare smile.

A flash of amazement crossed Yuna Bishop’s eyes.

This Beast Tamer was indeed incredibly good-looking.

He was more handsome than any celebrity she had ever seen on TV back in the real world.

“You poor thing.”

The white tiger crouched on the ground.

Sylas dismounted and stroked Noir’s head with a pained expression.

Noir watched Sylas warily, standing his ground in front of Yuna Bishop without yielding an inch.

“You’ve raised him well.”

Sylas looked down and gave Yuna Bishop a small smile.

She turned her face away.

‘This guy is too gorgeous.

He must be bad news.’

But in the next second, Yuna Bishop immediately changed her mind.

Sylas took out a very professional-looking medical kit and wrapped a roll of bandages around Noir’s wounds.

“!!”

‘So generous!’
