Wen Xi did not intend to rush into the museum blindly.

Furthermore, she had only heard rumors in her past life and had never actually seen it. She only knew that the owner of the seal was rumored to be a collector who was obsessed with collecting dolls.

Their strength was unknown.Full novel: Apocalypse Survival: My Phone Swipes Infinite Supplies — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Wen Xi did not want to be a lamb sent to the slaughter; she wanted to wait until after midnight when the usage counts for all supernatural items reset before entering.

Before that, Wen Xi used the radar within the game to scan the area around the museum.

The game radar interface hovered before her eyes; the blue dot represented herself, and there were no red dots within a thirty-meter radius.

At least on the surface, the perimeter of this Gothic building was safe.

The phone time displayed 23:47.

There were thirteen minutes left until all supernatural items reset.

Wen Xi adjusted her posture, took a photo to check the museum’s cameras, and examined the appraisal:

【Damaged broken camera. A southern camera, how can it endure the cold of the Arctic?】

Indeed, the extreme cold weather had destroyed most electronic equipment.

Even some regular fruit-branded phones could no longer function.

【23:59】

Wen Xi loosened her neck.

The fluorescent green on her shoelaces glowed faintly; the ten teleportation opportunities began to reset, and the shopping credit was also about to reset.

Wen Xi decisively selected three micro-monitors, preparing to pay.

Midnight sharp.

The shopping credit reset, and Wen Xi paid immediately, obtaining the three micro-monitors.

She immediately teleported to the museum’s back door, released the little soldiers, and handed the micro-monitors to them:

“You go in first and scout the way for me. Remember to be extremely careful; avoid the cameras or security devices inside the museum.”

“Ninini!”

The little soldiers gave a crooked military salute, shouldered the micro-monitor equipment, and disappeared into the shadows of the museum’s back door.

Wen Xi watched the perspectives of the three little soldiers on her monitor as they moved toward the interior of the building via different routes.

The freezing rain slammed against the spires of the Gothic architecture, shattering into black ice mist.

Wen Xi could not help but look up; for a moment, her breathing stalled at the sheer luxury of the building.

The entire exterior wall of this museum was carved from a dark stone, every stained-glass window was inlaid with gold, and even the drainpipes were fashioned into the shapes of angel statues.

“The habits of the wealthy are really… and it’s a private museum, too.”

Wen Xi silently clicked her tongue, her fingers itching to pry off a few pieces.

Unfortunately, in the apocalypse, paper money was worthless; the only human currency that held value was gold.

The phone panel vibrated.

It was the feed from the first monitor, the image transmitted by Little Soldier 1.

The camera scanned an empty exhibition hall.

The glass display cases housed various dolls: ceramic dolls in Lolita dresses, mechanical dolls with intricate joints, and even life-sized wax figures scaled down proportionally.

The labels below each exhibit were in gold-stamped lettering, shimmering in the faint light of the emergency lamps.

【19th-century European royal doll, woven with real hair】 【Ming Dynasty burial pottery figure, excavated from a royal tomb】

Wen Xi’s gaze lingered on the last label.

To be able to acquire these, the curator’s connections were wild enough.

“Ninini!”

The second monitor feed flickered suddenly; Little Soldier 2 sent an alert.

The camera focused on a black shadow slowly moving at the end of the corridor—it was an automatic patrol robot standing a full two meters tall.

The head was equipped with a 360-degree rotating camera, and the end of its mechanical arm was not a hand, but metal claws shimmering with a cold light.

Wen Xi immediately clicked to enlarge the image.

The nameplate on the robot’s chest was engraved with 【Guardian-III Model】, but what was more concerning was the purple crystal embedded in its forehead, which pulsed rhythmically as it moved.

“A supernatural item?”

Wen Xi narrowed her eyes, and the game page, which had been open the whole time, immediately popped up a prompt:

【Energy fluctuations detected!】 【Supernatural item type: Security device】

…If there was more than one supernatural item, she hadn’t come to the wrong place.

The third feed suddenly shook violently.

Little Soldier 3 seemed to have climbed up to a high place, crawling continuously through ventilation ducts, finally arriving at a room resembling an office.

Based on the details, specifically that desk which looked antique and extremely valuable, this should be the curator’s office.

And behind that desk was a safe!

The game panel updated simultaneously:

【Target “Seal (Supernatural Item)” located】

“Found it!” Wen Xi clenched her fist.

Wen Xi acted immediately; the green light on her shoelaces flashed repeatedly, and three teleports broke through the outer defense lines, dodging multiple security devices.

She entered through the skylight above the east stairwell, planning to take the ventilation duct to bypass that patrol robot.

But when Wen Xi pried open the ventilation cover and the smell of rust mixed with some kind of incense hit her, she couldn’t help but feel nauseous.

The inner walls of the duct were coated with a sticky, waxy substance, and her raincoat made a teeth-gritting sound as she crawled through.

“Creak—”

A strange noise suddenly came from the ventilation duct.

Wen Xi tensed, watching as Little Soldier 1 frantically pointed downward.

The patrol robot was stopped directly beneath them, the purple crystal’s scanning beam sweeping just past the bottom of the duct.

Wen Xi held her breath, not moving until the robot turned away, before she continued forward.

The end of the ventilation duct was the fresh-air system vent for the curator’s office.

Wen Xi carefully unscrewed the vent, jumped down cautiously, and although the sound of her boots making contact with the marble floor was faint, it still made her heart stop.

“Ninini!”

Little Soldier 3, who had been squatting there, jumped off the desk and gestured toward the safe.

Wen Xi leaned in and saw that the area around the safe was crisscrossed with near-invisible infrared beams, and there was a micro-pressure sensor at the keyhole.

“Troublesome.”

Wen Xi had no way to open the safe.

But she could blow up the wall, steal the safe itself, and take it back to figure out the code at her leisure!

Just as she thought this and reached out her hand—

“Click-clack, click-clack…”

The sound of heels tapping against the marble floor came from the second floor.

Someone was coming!
