Interstellar Era, Year 2907, near the wormhole.

“Deputy General Huang, take our people and retreat!” Jian Ke looked at the enraged Zerg surging ahead and shouted over her shoulder to the people behind her.

“I’m not leaving.” Huang Xiang shook his head. His blood-covered hands continued swinging a blade as he hacked at the pain-insensitive Zerg.Full novel: Apocalypse: The Interstellar Powerhouse Transmigrates into a Novel and Shocks the World! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

They had already been fighting here without sleep or rest for two days and two nights. Even as members of the military force known as the strongest army, they were beginning to struggle against the overwhelming number of Zerg.

“This is an order!”

Jian Ke’s tone grew sterner. Seeing that Huang Xiang still did not move, she shouted again, “Are you trying to disobey a military order?”

“General!” Huang Xiang was unwilling to leave, but he was a soldier.

“Trust me. You retreat!” Jian Ke had no time to say anything more. She darted alone toward the Zerg King.

Huang Xiang knew this was the right thing to do under the circumstances, but he could not accept that they were always the ones being protected.

Now, watching Jian Ke throw herself into danger once again, every subordinate, including Huang Xiang, prayed that she would return safely.

But Jian Ke’s situation was far from good. She had never expected this Zerg King to be at the 3S level.

However… it wasn’t as though she had no way out.

Seeing that she was only twenty meters from the Zerg King, Jian Ke took out the last nutrition agent she had stored.

She drank it to replenish the energy she had exhausted. After wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth, Jian Ke charged forward again.

Nineteen meters…

Eighteen meters…

Closer. Closer still.

One meter…

Jian Ke finally reached the two Zerg Kings. Looking at the particularly disgusting Zerg before her, she gave a cold laugh and took out the explosives stored in her system!

“Let this old lady show you what my system’s explosives can do!” Jian Ke said as she threw the explosives forward. She then quickly activated her protective shield and covered herself with it.

Jian Ke stared at the flames of war burning beyond the protective shield. Only after the firelight around her finally died down did she prepare to leave the shield and check whether the Zerg had been completely wiped out.

But an accident suddenly occurred.

“Warning! Warning! Danger detected ahead. Protective shield activating automatically!”

“Warning! Warning! System energy insufficient. Protective shield shutting down automatically!”

“Warning! Warning! System energy insufficient…

Jian Ke only had time to see one of the Zerg Kings rush in front of her and self-destruct before she completely lost consciousness.

Huang Xiang and the others waiting nearby had already turned red-eyed when the explosion occurred. But remembering Jian Ke’s order…

“The General is so powerful. She’ll be fine. We can’t go over there and only cause trouble,” Huang Xiang said, comforting the others.

When the sound of the explosion finally subsided and all they could see before them was a field of ruins, Huang Xiang and the others immediately fell to their knees.

“General…”

Choked sobs came from every direction, mixed with the mournful sound of the wind. The scene was utterly tragic for a moment.

Blue Star, Year 2377.

“Hiss.”

Jian Ke’s last memory was still fixed on the moment the explosives had detonated before her eyes.

She had never imagined that after being an extraordinary Falcon all her life, she would ultimately be pecked to death by a falcon herself.

But she could not entirely blame anyone else. She had overestimated the energy of her own soft and adorable system. It had already been supporting her for two days and two nights, so it was only natural that it had run out of energy.

Wait… Something seemed wrong.

Why was she still conscious?!

“Could it be that I transmigrated again??”

Jian Ke certainly did not think she had been rescued. After all, the explosive force of the Zerg would definitely have reduced her to ashes.

With that thought, she opened her exhausted eyes. The first thing she saw was a gray, gloomy ceiling. The ceiling was not high, and with her 5.2 vision, she could clearly see the spiderwebs clinging to it.

“Idiot!” A soft and adorable voice suddenly came from Jian Ke’s mind.

“Shiqi?” Jian Ke became somewhat excited. “Is that you, Shiqi?”

“Ke-ke is an idiot!” Shiqi rolled around inside the system space while scolding Jian Ke.

“Yes, yes, I’m an idiot.” Jian Ke affectionately soothed Shiqi. “Did you transmigrate with me too?”

“Shiqi and Ke-ke are soul-bound, so of course I came along with you.” Although Shiqi was still dissatisfied, he answered Jian Ke’s question.

“That’s great! We can continue fighting together!”

Jian Ke was genuinely happy. After she had transmigrated to the Interstellar Era in her previous life, she had bound herself to Shiqi. If it had not been for the help he had provided in the early stages, how could Jian Ke have become the famous female god of slaughter in the Interstellar Era?

Shiqi was also very happy, but when he remembered what Jian Ke had done earlier, he could not help scolding her for being an idiot again.

“All right.” Jian Ke comforted her little system. “Don’t be angry anymore. Can you tell your big sister where we are?”

“Hmph!” Shiqi crossed his arms and snorted coldly. Then, with a wave of his hand, he summoned Jian Ke into the system space.

“Shiqi!” Seeing the fair and delicate little figure before her, Jian Ke excitedly rushed forward and pulled him into her arms.

Only after seeing Jian Ke did Shiqi find himself unable to hold back his tears.

He had not even dared to imagine what would have happened if he had failed to use the last trace of his energy to bring Jian Ke here. Would Jian Ke have disappeared completely, unable to leave even a soul behind?

“Good boy.” Jian Ke wiped the tears from the corners of Shiqi’s eyes with her fingertip, looking at the little figure whose skin reddened with the slightest pressure.

“Why did you set a boy’s skin to be so delicate?” Jian Ke grew impatient as she wiped his tears and could not help complaining.

“Hmph!” Shiqi snorted coldly. “I knew you women couldn’t handle being sentimental!”

“All right, all right.” Jian Ke rubbed the little figure’s head.

Wait…

“How did you get taller???” Jian Ke cried out in disbelief.

“…” Shiqi gave Jian Ke a disdainful look. “Why don’t you look in a mirror and see how pathetic you look?”

After saying that, Shiqi took a full-length mirror out of the system space. Jian Ke followed his movement and looked up.

“How did I become like this??”

Although she had already expected that she had transmigrated, Jian Ke had never imagined that she would end up with a body like this.

The girl in the mirror was wearing a loose one-piece dress that had been washed until it had faded. Her long hair reached her waist, but it was dry and yellow. Her complexion also looked dark and sallow. Because her eyes were opened wide, her expression appeared somewhat fierce.

Aside from her bone structure, there was not a trace of resemblance to her previous self.

Judging by Jian Ke’s estimate, she was definitely no taller than 1.6 meters! How could this compare with her previous self, a 175-centimeter, long-legged, mature beauty?!

Jian Ke wailed inwardly. She might as well have died.

Shiqi, who sensed Jian Ke’s thoughts, sternly declared that such an idea was absolutely unacceptable. He then reminded her how much effort he had gone through to bring her here, so she absolutely could not seek death.
