Ye Qingning was puzzled about when her space had started containing food. Could it be that she had collected it during her dreams?!

Whatever the case, eating came first!

After finishing a large meat bun, Ye Qingning finally regained a bit of her strength.Full novel: Apocalypse Time-Travel to the 1940s: Building the World’s Strongest Superpower — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She wanted to see what delicious food and drinks she had gathered!

Holy—

She suddenly tried to sit up, only to slam her head hard against a wooden board, leaving her dizzy. It hurt like hell!

“Enter!”

Inside the space, there were now mountains and rivers, sweet and fragrant orchards, fresh-smelling farmland, and adorable little animals. All of them were food!

There was no end in sight. Wasn’t this equivalent to mountains of gold and silver?

As for flowers and medicinal herbs, she automatically ignored them—they couldn’t be eaten or drunk.

Was this that Yiren’s life space? She was really good at farming and breeding. Now it had all fallen into her hands! She wondered if the crystal cores Yiren had earned were still there.

There were only two thatched huts here. She grabbed two more meat buns—she was going to eat while exploring.

It was confirmed—this wasn’t something she had collected.

Ye Qingning casually pushed open one of the huts. Inside was a whole different world. The rows upon rows of shelves left her stunned.

However, there didn’t seem to be any firearms—only cold weapons. There were quite a lot of related books, which had clearly been prepared before the apocalypse.

It felt like she was strolling through a supermarket, except for one difference—she didn’t have to pay for anything she ate.

As she browsed and ate, she realized she couldn’t even sense the size of this space. If Yiren had possessed this space before the apocalypse, that would have been unbelievably amazing!

The orchards, vegetable fields, and farmland could all be harvested with a single thought, including planting as well. It was far more time-saving and effortless than her own space ability.

She couldn’t determine how long each growth cycle took, but it was definitely faster than normal. The wheat and rice she had just planted had already sprouted again, and the fruit trees were already budding with tiny fruits.

No wonder that even during the apocalypse, that woman could still float around in white clothes all day.

Yiren: “It was only the size of a football field at the beginning! I planted everything bit by bit and accumulated it over time, okay?!”

“Ah, why does my stomach hurt at a time like this?!”

Ye Qingning lost interest in exploring—she needed to deal with a bodily emergency. Having woken up starving and then eaten such a messy variety of food all at once, her fragile stomach couldn’t handle it.

She rushed out of the hut and opened the one next door. After a quick glance, she didn’t see a toilet. There was no time—she had to fertilize the fields first!

Fortunately, she didn’t have to handle anything manually. The space automatically decomposed everything.

She hadn’t seen any crystal cores earlier. Could they be in that luxurious thatched hut? The interior decoration was beyond what someone like her could even describe. In one word—expensive.

After entering a dazzling living room, there were two long corridors to the left and right, each with ten rooms.

Like opening blind boxes, Ye Qingning went through them one by one: three walk-in closets, two accessory rooms, five rooms filled with gold and silver jewelry, three suites, one audiovisual room, one gym, one swimming pool, one study, one vault, and two empty rooms.

Not a single crystal core!

Then what about the crystal cores in her original ability space? Could they also be gone? Ye Qingning quickly checked—and saw a sea of gold.

So blinding! So dazzling!

She had actually collected this much gold again! Compared to it, everything else seemed insignificant. But where were her crystal cores?

Why was there only such a small pile left? Where was her mountain of crystal cores?! It was gone!

It was fine… it was fine… Ye Qingning, this wasn’t the apocalypse anymore.

But she still wanted them! Give back her crystal cores!

One, two, three… there were only 298 left in total: three level-nine, nine level-eight, twenty-eight level-seven, and the rest were level-five and level-six.

She didn’t even keep low-level ones. The Zombie King had always given her high-level ones, and over time she had grown disdainful of the low-grade ones herself.

Even so, she was still better off than Yiren—that woman was a pauper without a single crystal core.

When she tried to take out a crystal core to restore her abilities, she realized she couldn’t retrieve them at all.

What did that mean?!

She couldn’t even control her own ability space?!

After sensing carefully, Ye Qingning discovered that she could still control her ability space—but it was only a tiny, empty area, equivalent to when her ability had been at level one.

So her current ability level was only level one?

Then why wasn’t she allowed to control the part of the ability space where the crystal cores were stored?!

This was a chaotic era—her small body relied on strength the most!

Her crystal cores… could only remain out of reach.

Could it be because she had collected a bit of stuff just after arriving, causing her abilities to drop?!

Northern and Central European countries and regions: “Please give that ‘bit’ back to us!”

Out of sight, out of mind. Ye Qingning simply picked a suite, took a bath, and went to sleep.

Her body was too weak. She was extremely tired.

She slept incredibly soundly. She no longer had to be chased by the Zombie King, nor did she have to worry about going hungry.

After eating a steaming bowl of beef noodles, Ye Qingning felt instantly revived.

She had tested it—the thatched hut used for sleeping had a time flow, so food couldn’t be preserved there.

However, the warehouse could preserve things, similar to her ability space.

Now, her ability space also contained plenty of food—bread, milk, jerky, and many livestock.

She wondered which unlucky households had been looted of both food and gold by her.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t take them out for now.

Ye Qingning exited the space and returned to her “coffin.”

She immediately used a teleportation move, only to find she had moved less than a meter. It was impossible to chain several teleports to return to Hua Country.

Her abilities had indeed dropped to level one!

The size of her ability space hadn’t changed, so why had her ability level decreased?!

After examining her surroundings, she realized she had been hiding inside a compartment in the wardrobe.

The room was in complete disarray, but a family photo of three people with bright smiles on the desk stood out.

Wasn’t that her grandaunt’s family? More precisely, it was her grandfather’s eldest uncle’s family.

Her ability space had always preserved all the family photo albums. She had looked through them countless times and remembered them clearly.

That meant Ye Qingning was actually her grandfather’s older sister? In other words, she now needed to go find her grandfather’s family?!

She had often heard her grandfather ramble while looking at the albums, bragging about how wealthy their ancestors had been.

In her great-grandfather’s generation, some had even gone abroad for advanced studies, though sadly they had died in foreign lands.

According to her grandfather, at this point in time, his eldest uncle’s family should have already perished. And those he described as missing had, in fact, quietly died inside this very wardrobe.

She casually picked up a comic book from the desk. Looking at the date, Ye Qingning muttered, “It’s April 1940 now…”

She could confirm that she had returned to a parallel era in which her grandfather had lived.

Why a parallel era? Because even the country names were different.

With a wave of her hand, Ye Qingning stored everything in the room—the wardrobe, desk, and bed—into an empty room within the life space.

“From now on, I am Ye Qingning. I’ll go home in your place!”

More importantly, that was also her home.

She still needed to return to her homeland and gather followers. She refused to fight alone like in the apocalypse!

Her space ability still existed—she would definitely create her own glory in this war-torn era.

As for these foreigners, she had no interest in them. Her bias toward Hua Country ran too deep—it couldn’t be washed away even in a thousand years.

Ye Qingning tested all her other abilities again—such as invisibility, space blade, spatial confinement, and so on.

She found that she could still use them, but their power had weakened significantly.

Previously, her space blade could cut through houses. Now, it could only cut through tables. She could use it only five times before collapsing from exhaustion, and it took an hour to recover.

Additionally, if she ate her fill, her recovery sped up by about fifteen minutes.

It took her a full three days to fully understand the current state of her abilities.

Before fighting, she needed to know her own strength.

Sharpening the blade would not delay the chopping of firewood.
