She said, “I don’t know either. You two decide. I’m fine with anything—I won’t complain at all.”

That left the two of them not knowing what to say, but going out was indeed very enjoyable, because she truly did as she said—she never complained.

She provided plenty of emotional support, only occasionally complaining about Xue Qi’s photography skills, which made the two of them, who took turns planning the trips, feel a great sense of accomplishment.Full novel: Apocalypse Wardrobe: I’m a Very Pretentious Little Girl — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

While they discussed their plans, Wen Jiuya quietly listened, eating slowly and carefully.

One reason was that she had enough self-awareness—she didn’t have the intelligence to complete those plans; another was that she lacked connections and access to such specific information.

So she could only act like a well-behaved child, quietly listening to their plans and just making sure she wouldn’t be forgotten.

How nice—no need to use her brain again. Just like before the apocalypse.

??’?’??, hehe.

After finishing the meal, Wen Qiao put the dishes into the dishwasher in her apron to clean them.

Wen Jiuya went to pack up things around the house and asked Wen Qiao to help store them using her spatial ability.

After cleaning up all around, the two of them collapsed onto the living room sofa. After a brief rest, the three of them sprawled on the couch and started talking about their superpowers.

Wen Jiuya believed she was at the mid-stage of level two (superpower levels were divided into early stage, mid stage, late stage, and peak stage—four sub-levels) with a mutated water-type ability, while Wen Qiao and Xue Qi insisted that she was dual-type.

Xue Qi originally didn’t want to express any opinion, because back in university, his roommates had told him never to offend his crush’s best friend.

Because they would speak badly about you—even if you weren’t in a relationship yet, they could ruin your chances; and if you were already together, they might even persuade you to break up. Most would encourage separation, not reconciliation.

But when the two of them looked at him, he… chose his wife. Well, a future wife still counted as a wife.

Wen Jiuya curled her lips and quietly muttered about love-brain.

Xue Qi was a triple-type ability user—lightning, spatial, and metal—all at the early stage of level three. It could be said he was among the top in the current apocalypse.

As for Wen Qiao’s superpower, the two of them already knew it well. Four words summed it up: max level, all types.

The three exchanged a glance and decided to set off immediately.

“Vroom!”

“Vroom vroom!!”

“Vroom vroom vroom!!!”

The sound of motorcycles starting rang out as the three of them sped off, weaving through bloody, filthy, and ruined streets.

Although the noise of the motorcycles attracted the zombies’ attention, it had to be said—they were fast, efficient, and convenient, able to pass through all kinds of obstacles.

The three rode in formation—Wen Qiao in front, Wen Jiuya in the middle, and Xue Qi at the rear. They continued riding until nightfall, headlights blazing as they searched for a place to rest.

Wen Qiao made a gesture ahead.

Someone is following us.

Xue Qi and Wen Jiuya immediately moved to her sides.

Wen Jiuya ended up on the innermost side, with the roadside greenery to her left, Wen Qiao to her right, and further right was Xue Qi.

A group of seventeen- or eighteen-year-old boys on motorcycles surrounded them—about eleven in total.

They left one space open, and a black BMW drove in. From the driver’s seat stepped out a boy with a wolf-tail haircut.

His features were delicate. One ear had an earring with a cross, while the other only had a single stud.

His eyes were phoenix-shaped, slanting slightly up and down, with heavy dark circles beneath them. His lips were pressed together, his clothes stained with blood, and he leaned against the car.

The whole person seemed silent and gloomy.

The yellow-haired boy beside him looked at him, and he nodded.

“Big Sister, are you going to save the world?” the yellow-haired boy asked Wen Qiao, who stood at the front.

The boy’s eyes shone as he spoke, his hand unconsciously tightening around the motorcycle handle.

Before Wen Qiao could answer, Wen Jiuya laughed first. She took off her helmet, brushed aside her wind-tousled bangs, looking both beautiful and languid.

“Save the world? Don’t joke. This is the apocalypse, not a game.”

The yellow-haired boy and most of the others’ eyes dimmed.

Wen Qiao did not stop her, because youths who asked such questions usually had no bad intentions.

More importantly, their eyes were clean. The eyes were the window to the soul—no matter how one tried to hide or evade, it couldn’t be concealed.

She released the handlebar. “We’re heading to Minqi Base. This is the only route, so we—”

“We’re currently looking for a place to rest for the night. Where are you staying now? Can you take us there? In return, we can protect you on the way to the base.”

As the only male among the three, Xue Qi cut in and directly stated their current problem.

In the end, they were brought to a convenience store of about one hundred square meters. The yellow-haired boy said it belonged to his boss, Wang Ze—it had been given by Wang Ze’s father. It had two floors, with the upper level used as living quarters.

The place had two bedrooms and one living room. At night, Wen Qiao and Wen Jiuya shared one room, Xue Qi slept in the bedroom hallway, Wang Ze took one room, and the others slept in the living room.

Before going to sleep, the three of them held a small meeting.

“While I was washing up, I heard them say they’re students from Suhai Direct Experimental High School. On the day the apocalypse happened, they had skipped class, so they just happened to avoid the peak of the outbreak.”

“That day, they were planning to pick up their motorcycles and go racing at night. Then the apocalypse came. After killing the people who turned into zombies, they stuck together and kept resisting them.”

“They wanted to go back to the school to save people, but there were too few of them…”

After Xue Qi finished speaking, Wen Qiao smiled, gently swirling the goblet filled with milk in her hand before handing him a glass. “Quite clever.”

Xue Qi said, “Guess whose idea it was.”

“Who else could it be? That wolf-tail boy. You can tell he’s cunning just by looking at him,” Wen Jiuya waved her hand, indicating there was no need to guess.

Holding the same glass of milk, she sighed, “They’re a group of hot-blooded youths~”
