Jiang Fanxing was in his hotel room enjoying a meal when he received a call from Will. He swallowed the meat in his mouth, his face marred by the irritation of being disturbed. After answering, he snapped, “What is it now?”

Will sounded frantic. “Mr. Niu, it is bad. My cousin and her husband have found help and are trying to force you to give them the reproductive organs.”

Jiang Fanxing’s brow furrowed. “Those organs have already been transplanted into someone else; what good is finding me?” He knew, however, that the couple lacked authority; if Will were determined to have them yield, they would be powerless to refuse. As for why Will had not simply rejected the couple from the start, there must be underlying complications.Full novel: Apocalyptic Charity Plan [Quick Transmigration] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Not wanting to argue over the phone, he chose to resolve the matter in person. “Enough. I am coming over to take a look.”

He hung up, his face dark. Logically, as long as the organs were implanted in someone who could successfully conceive and break the world’s infertility curse, his mission would be complete. But given the couple’s despicable character, he had no desire to grant them the opportunity to have children. As for the vacillating Will, his reputation had completely plummeted in Jiang Fanxing’s eyes.

Since this world had advanced medical technology that eliminated immune rejection and could heal surgical wounds instantly with serums, he had a fallback plan. If necessary, he would simply reclaim the organs and find a pair of willing volunteers himself.

With a plan in mind, Jiang Fanxing returned to Will Technology, guided by one of Will’s employees. As he walked into the reception room and spotted the familiar four, his heart stuttered. He was shocked to see them there. Will is going to get me killed.

He was relieved that he had kept his hat, mask, and gloves on; they should not be able to recognize him. But when he accidentally met Xie Yunqing’s gaze and saw the trace of suspicion in his eyes, he grew alarmed. Oh no, my outfit is too similar to the one from the last rift. Does he recognize me?

Panic flared, and he felt like bolting out the door. He was so distracted that he barely heard Will speaking to him. Will, mistaking his silence for indifference, smiled bitterly and continued. “Mr. Niu, I am so sorry. My father is forcing me to forgive my cousin and her husband, threatening his own life if I do not guarantee the transplant for her.” Will sounded stifled. “Mr. Niu, I cannot ignore my father’s life, so…”

Jiang Fanxing had regained his composure. Xie Yunqing’s team had no concrete evidence of his identity, and as military personnel, they were likely bound by logic and protocol. He would simply deny everything if questioned, and they would not dare move against him.

Jiang Fanxing looked coldly at Will, cutting off his excuses. “So, you want that couple to surrender the organs so you can transplant them into your cousin, all to respect your father’s wishes and save his old life. To fulfill your filial duty as a dutiful son, is that right?”

Will was so ashamed he wanted to crawl into the floor tiles. He was trapped between his father and his career, choosing once again to fail Mr. Niu. Anelina and Robin, believing victory was within their grasp, beamed with triumph.

“Or,” Jiang Fanxing said, staring them down with malicious intent, “you could all just wait to die. I would rather destroy those organs than give them to two morons like you.” He turned his gaze to Will, his voice dripping with venom. “If you insist on this path, I do not mind getting blood on my hands.” Everyone present understood whose blood he was referring to.

Anelina and Robin trembled, their expressions shifting to pure terror. Jiang Fanxing turned to Will, applying pressure. “Will, this should have been smooth. You could have fulfilled your life’s work, solved the fertility crisis, and become the father of a new humanity. But because you shield your relatives, prioritize incompetence over morality, and lack the backbone to make a choice, it is all ruined. This is all your fault. You are a sinner in this world.”

“No! That is not true! I did not mean for this to happen!” Will collapsed, sobbing. He had dedicated his youth to medicine, inventing countless lifesaving drugs and enduring years of blame and insults for his fertility research. He had been a good man with a loving family, but now he realized his family had become twisted and selfish, and his career was collapsing. “Why? Why did it come to this? Why can I not satisfy everyone?”

Anelina and Robin watched Will’s breakdown, their moralizing insults stuck in their throats, terrified that Will might lash out at them. Xie Yunqing’s team was equally stunned; the masked stranger had shattered the man’s resolve with just a few sentences.

Jiang Fanxing looked on, unimpressed. “You are just trying to have your cake and eat it, too. Now, make a choice. Will you protect your pathetic family ties, or will you stand by your resolve to be the light of humanity?”

Will let out a choked, indistinguishable sound, looking at Jiang Fanxing through tear-filled eyes. Jiang Fanxing was covered too well for Will to see his expression, but he could imagine the contempt on that face.

At that moment, Will looked at his restless cousin and her husband, and his eyes shifted. It was after they showed up that his image in the eyes of Mr. Niu had changed. Will gnashed his teeth. It was their fault. He should have sent them to prison from the start.

Jiang Fanxing realized Will had made his choice. As Anelina and Robin began to panic, Jiang Fanxing goaded Will. “If you do not hurry, they will call your father again. And when he finds out, he will throw his life away for nothing.”

The taunt stung the couple deeply. They began to scream insults, and Anelina reached for her phone to call Will’s father. Will, finally reaching his limit, lunged and snatched the phone, smashing it into pieces on the floor.

“Ah!” Anelina shrieked.

Robin flew into a rage, tossing his own phone to Anelina before tackling Will. Will was caught in a chokehold. Jiang Fanxing took the opportunity to snatch Anelina’s phone.

“You bastard, give me that phone back!” she screamed.

Jiang Fanxing smashed the phone with force. “Who are you calling a bastard?”

“You!”

Jiang Fanxing smiled faintly. “Oh, very well, bastard.”

Anelina snapped. She lunged at him with long, sharp fingernails. Jiang Fanxing dodged her swipes and kicked her to the ground. “I am sorry, I am no gentleman; I hit women.” He landed another kick, leaving her gasping in pain.

The scene descended into chaos. Xie Yunqing and his team stood rooted to the spot. Xie Yunqing stepped forward to pry Robin off Will and warned Jiang Fanxing to stop. Jiang Fanxing shrugged. He had not intended to continue; Anelina was already incapacitated, and his vengeance was satisfied.

Lin Zihan looked at the fallen Anelina with sympathy and tugged on Zhou Peng’s sleeve. “Zhou Peng, come with me to check on her.”

Zhou Peng rolled his eyes. “She will not die, and she brought it on herself.”

Lin Zihan whispered, “Are you stupid? You forgot her connection to Will? Even if Will hates her, if we save her, he has to acknowledge our help. Then we can make reasonable requests, like checking their medical equipment.”

Zhou Peng’s eyes widened. She has a point! “Let us go.”

Zhang Zhiyuan followed as they moved to help Xie Yunqing subdue the rampaging Robin. Will, finally freed from the chokehold, gasped for air and thanked Xie Yunqing. He cast a wary glance at Jiang Fanxing, only to be met with cold silence. Will turned his attention back to his duties, calling security to take the couple to prison.

Anelina and Robin shouted, “Will, you are insane! Uncle will not allow this! Let us go!”

At this time, the bodyguards had already arrived. Will signaled for them to gag the two and hide them from view so they would not be discovered, then ordered them to be sent directly to prison.

Looking at the couple’s expressions of disbelief, Will said firmly, “Do not worry, Father will not know about this. If he asks about you, I will tell him you are conducting secret experiments and are not allowed to contact the outside world.”

The matter was temporarily settled. Jiang Fanxing did not want to face Xie Yunqing and his team, so he turned to leave. “Since everything is settled, I am going.”

Xie Yunqing looked stern. “Please wait.”

Jiang Fanxing did not acknowledge him and vanished from sight. Will, desperate to show his loyalty, stopped Xie Yunqing from following. “Please wait. You need to sign a confidentiality agreement.” At the same time, a group of bodyguards surrounded him, Lin Zihan, and the others.

Xie Yunqing was left standing there.
