“Sky-Rending Judgment!” Ivan’s figure had already blurred into an afterimage.

Ivan’s wrist twisted, and the long blade drew arcs of white light through the air.

With Ivan at the center, the blade light spread out, intertwining to form a deadly net of light.Full novel: Arknights: I’m Just a Minecraft Player in Terra — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Amidst it, sharp, piercing The sound of a sword could be heard.

The blade light weaved among the Reunion Movement Soldiers.

When the blade light ceased, Ivan’s figure reappeared in its original spot.

Around Ivan, the bodies of the Reunion Movement Soldiers stiffened in unison, their eyes unfocused.

Their weapons clattered to the ground, slipping from their grasp.

Then they collapsed completely, losing consciousness.

At this moment, the wooden sword in Ivan’s hand also shattered.

“I…

rely…” “Was that…

what I did?

So…

strong?” A power originating from instinct made him use it subconsciously.

Is this Steve’s combat experience?

The feeling of that power filling his entire body…

made Ivan feel an indescribable exhilaration.

Just as Ivan was still marveling, a rapid and synchronized sound of footsteps approached from a distance.

The Rhodes Island Operators finally broke through the outer obstructions and appeared at the street corner.

Seeing Ivan standing alone in the middle of the road, The Rhodes Island personnel quickly spread out into a tactical formation, cautiously scanning the area that had just seen battle.

They saw Reunion Movement Soldiers lying haphazardly on the ground in the middle of the road.

And standing in the center of the battlefield, the unharmed young man.

“So many Reunion Movement, could it be that he alone…?” Everyone showed astonished expressions.

Instructor Doberr’s gaze was fixed on Ivan, her teaching whip unconsciously tightening in her hand.

Several heavy-armored Operators instinctively adjusted the angle of their shields, protecting Amiya and the Doctor behind them.

An awkward atmosphere permeated the air.

This unfamiliar Ursus youth, by himself, solved this small squad?

Who is he?

Could he be an enemy from another faction?

Only Amiya, after her clear, blue eyes swept across the battlefield, Immediately landed on Ivan.

She ignored Dobermann’s slightly raised hand gesture of obstruction and quickly took a few steps forward.

Her voice carried sincerity: “Um…

are you alright?

Are you injured?” She tilted her head slightly, wanting to see if Ivan had any hidden wounds.

“If you’re injured, please tell us!

We at Rhodes Island can provide you with treatment!” Ivan’s gaze suddenly focused on Amiya.

Those iconic long ears.

And that familiar voice, with a hint of childishness yet incredibly firm…

Ivan almost blurted out, “Amiya…” Amiya was visibly stunned, her long ears twitched in confusion, and her big eyes were filled with bewilderment.

“Eh?” Amiya carefully scrutinized Ivan’s unfamiliar face.

Confirming that she had never seen this young man before, “You…

know me?” Ivan suddenly snapped back to reality, realizing his Loss of composure.

He quickly reined in the excitement in his eyes, only looking at Amiya.

A slight smile touched the corners of his lips, and he gently shook his head, saying nothing more.

Ivan’s inner thoughts: “Damn it!

It’s the real Amiya!

She’s alive!

My daughter is so cute!

Those worried little eyes!

Those fluffy ears!

Ahhh, I really want to ruffle her head!” Immense joy and an almost “fatherly” impulse surged in his chest, nearly breaking through the confines of reason.

Although Amiya was confused as to why he was so excited, seeing Ivan’s sincere smile, she temporarily suppressed the questions in her heart.

What was more important now was…

she turned around, her gaze falling upon the Ursus mother and daughter huddled beside the rubble in the corner.

The mother held her young daughter tightly, both covered in dust, the little girl’s face buried deep in her mother’s arms, her shoulders still trembling slightly.

Amiya’s heart clenched.

She softened her voice, carefully extending her hand, wanting to help the clearly exhausted mother up.

“Please don’t be afraid, it’s safe now.

Next, we will…” “Don’t touch my child!” The mother reacted as if burned by a branding iron, suddenly erupting with surprising strength, pulling her daughter even tighter behind her.

She recoiled, her eyes filled with fear and wariness, staring intently at Amiya’s outstretched hand.

Amiya’s hand froze in mid-air, the smile on her face instantly solidifying.

She hastily explained, her voice carrying a hint of an almost imperceptible tremble.

“Please listen to me!

We truly mean no harm!

We will protect you and take you to a safe place…” “I am very grateful!” The mother interrupted her abruptly, her voice rising due to fear.

She struggled to her feet but stumbled due to weak legs.

She first turned towards Ivan, bowing deeply, almost ninety degrees.

Her tone was filled with gratitude.

“Young man!

Thank you!

Thank you so much for saving my daughter and me!” However, when she straightened up and faced Amiya again, her gratitude was replaced by deeper fear and rejection.

Her gaze swept over Amiya’s slightly youthful face, finally settling on the faint traces of black Originium crystals subtly visible at her cuff, and the more or less similar Infected characteristics on the surrounding Rhodes Island Operators.

Her eyes became incredibly cold, carrying a deep-seated fear of death.

“But you and those people just now…” Her voice lowered.

“Are all Infected, right?” She uttered the word with difficulty.

“I’m sorry…

I can’t trust you.

Please…

don’t bother with us anymore.” After saying that, she no longer looked at Amiya’s instantly pale face, nor at the Rhodes Island Operators with their complex expressions.

She tightly clutched her daughter’s cold little hand, using all her strength.

Almost dragging the child, she stumbled away without looking back, heading in the opposite direction from Rhodes Island.

“Please wait!” Amiya took a step forward, her voice carrying a hint of pleading.

But her outstretched hand merely stopped futilely in mid-air.

Looking at Amiya’s back, and then towards the direction where the mother and daughter disappeared, The excitement he felt from meeting Amiya earlier was instantly replaced by an indescribable pang of pain.

This land…

was far more cruel than he had imagined.
