Chapter 4: Part 3 – The Fall of a Young Master The violent winds gradually calmed.
The dark clouds that had gathered because of the battle slowly drifted apart, allowing the golden sunlight to shine over the city once again.
High above the sky, Shadow silently descended.
His black robe fluttered gently behind him.
His expression remained as calm and emotionless as ever, as though the fierce battle moments ago had been nothing more than a brief exercise.
Step…
His feet touched the ground beside KING.
Neither brother spoke.
They simply looked at each other for a brief moment before giving the slightest nod.
No words were needed.
The battle was over.
Sai, who had been holding his breath the entire time, suddenly rushed forward.
“Big Brother Shadow!” He threw his arms around Shadow without hesitation.
“I knew you would win!” “I knew nobody could defeat you!” Shadow looked down at the excited boy.
His expression remained unchanged, but he gently patted Sai’s head.
“I’m glad you’re safe.” Sai grinned so widely that tears almost escaped his eyes.
“I wasn’t worried at all!” “…Well…” “…Maybe just a little.” Jiang Yi walked over more gracefully.
Unlike Sai, she simply lowered her head respectfully.
“Young Master Shadow…” “Thank you.” “If it weren’t for you…” She couldn’t finish her sentence.
Everyone knew what would have happened if Shadow had lost.
Shadow calmly replied, “You don’t need to thank me.” “I only settled a problem.” Jiang Yi smiled faintly.
Even though his words sounded cold…
She could tell he wasn’t trying to act like a hero.
He simply did what he believed was right.
That alone earned her respect.
Meanwhile…
Far away from them…
A deep crater remained where Ye Lin had fallen.
Dust still floated through the air.
The spectators who had hidden behind buildings slowly stepped forward.
No one dared to speak.
The once arrogant young master of the Ye Family…
…lay motionless in the center of the crater.
His luxurious robes were torn.
His body was covered in blood.
His breathing was weak.
His eyes stared blankly toward the sky.
For the first time in his life…
He had experienced complete defeat.
Not because of overwhelming power.
Not because of numbers.
But because someone his own age had surpassed him in every possible way.
One of the Ye Family guards finally gathered enough courage to approach.
“Y-Young Master…” There was no response.
Another guard hurried over.
“We have to take him back!” “Hurry!” Several guards carefully lifted Ye Lin from the crater.
The moment they moved him…
Ye Lin suddenly coughed.
“Cough!” A mouthful of blood spilled onto the ground.
His fingers trembled slightly.
His lips moved.
“…Impossible…” “…How…” “…could I lose…” His voice was barely audible.
One of the elders supporting him lowered his head.
“Young Master…” “We should leave.” Ye Lin slowly closed his eyes.
He no longer had the strength to argue.
His pride…
His confidence…
Everything had been shattered in front of the entire city.
The Ye Family group quickly retreated, disappearing into the streets under countless watchful eyes.
No one stopped them.
No one mocked them.
The silence alone was more painful than any insult.
After several moments…
Whispers finally began spreading throughout the city.
“Did you see that?” “He actually defeated Young Master Ye Lin…” “Who exactly are those twins?” “I’ve never heard of them before.” “They’re monsters…” “No…” “They’re geniuses beyond geniuses.” Within minutes, the news spread from one street to another.
From merchants…
To restaurants…
To inns…
To noble families…
Everywhere people discussed only one topic.
The mysterious twin brothers.
KING and Shadow.
Back near the hotel, Sai scratched the back of his head.
“Big Brothers…” “I think everyone is staring at us.” Shadow looked around.
Indeed.
Hundreds of eyes were fixed on them.
Some were filled with admiration.
Some with curiosity.
Others with fear.
KING calmly replied, “Then let’s leave.” Shadow nodded.
“The longer we stay…” “…the more troublesome it becomes.” Jiang Yi agreed immediately.
“Young Masters are right.” “The Ye Family won’t simply accept today’s humiliation.” “They may already be preparing their revenge.” Sai puffed out his chest.
“Hmph!” “If they come again, Big Brothers will beat them again!” KING lightly tapped Sai on the forehead.
“Don’t underestimate your enemies.” Sai rubbed his forehead.
“…That hurt.” “But I still believe in Big Brothers.” A faint smile appeared on Jiang Yi’s face.
The four of them quietly returned toward the hotel.
None of them noticed…
From the rooftop of a distant building…
An old man dressed in simple gray robes had witnessed the entire battle from beginning to end.
His aged eyes remained fixed on the twins.
“…Interesting.” “Two children…” “…possessing battle instincts that even many veteran Warriors and fighters lack.” He slowly stroked his white beard.
“For such talents to appear in a small city…” “…perhaps fate has begun moving once again.” Without another word…
The old man disappeared as silently as he had come.
Only the gentle breeze remained upon the rooftop.
And far above the city…
The peaceful sky hid the first signs that an even greater storm was quietly approaching.
