The four players were distributed extremely unevenly on this map, requiring them to cross vast distances to regroup. During this process, their guardian spirits were highly likely to be eliminated by the opposing team.

As soon as the words were spoken, Mo Yu heard a faint sound in his headphones and swiftly dodged to the side, but still got grazed by the opponent’s skill.

Mo Yu steadied his gaze and finally saw the ID above the approaching player—JYao.

[Jyao: Don’t get distracted.]

Both simultaneously reported their positions to their teams, and their teammates were rushing over without delay.

The jade whip had already been retracted, so Mo Yu couldn’t quite make out what Jian Yao’s weapon was.

In his eyes, it seemed to be composed of countless fragments.

Mo Yu turned on the all-channel mic.

The all-channel mic allowed communication between the two teams, provided the other player was nearby.

“What kind of weapon is that?” Mo Yu’s first question was directed at Jian Yao.

Jian Yao also switched on the all-channel mic and replied, “A whip made of jade.”

“That’s really unique. Can you unfold it and let me see? I’ve never seen a jade whip before.”

“Sure.”

Jian Yao unfolded it, revealing the crystal-clear whip before Mo Yu. In combat mode, it unfurled like a dragon’s tail, exuding an imposing aura.

“Wow, your weapon is so cool,” Mo Yu sincerely exclaimed, glancing at the dual blades in his own hands. “I should’ve put more effort into designing mine earlier.”

“Practicality matters most.”

Time ticked by, and the two continued chatting, showing no intention of fighting…

Both teams’ teammates: So peaceful, too peaceful.

“Ahem.” Yin Mo cleared his throat to signal Mo Yu.

“Captain, what’s wrong? Is your throat bothering you?” Mo Yu’s eyes remained fixed on the screen.

Seeing this, Yin Mo leaned close to his headset mic. “Look behind you.”

“Behind…” Mo Yu turned his head and saw Lai Yu standing behind him, glaring darkly. “C-Coach.”

“Having a pleasant chat?” Lai Yu curled his lips. “Our little Mo has made a new friend. How nice.”

“I’m sorry…” Mo Yu muttered softly as he turned back. “It’s just appreciation… stingy…”

Feeling the pressure closing in, Mo Yu quickly straightened up. “Hey, opponent, just letting you know—I’m starting the fight now, so you can’t say I ambushed you sneakily.”

When Jian Yao didn’t respond, Mo Yu maneuvered his character forward. “Are you lagging? I don’t want to win unfairly.”

In an instant, the jade whip coiled around Mo Yu’s character, imposing a three-second immobilization effect.

But three seconds were enough.

Jian Yao drove the fragments of the jade whip into Mo Yu’s character, then transformed the whip into a slender sword and thrust it straight into the character’s heart.

[Assassin KOG.Myu has been subdued by Assassin Jyao.]

Mo Yu was dumbfounded—

“You’re not playing fair! Ahhh!! I’m going crazy!”

“Didn’t you say you were starting?” Jian Yao looted the items from Mo Yu’s character. “It wasn’t an ambush, right?”

“I support this!” Su Ze’s voice pierced Mo Yu’s ears particularly sharply.

[KOG.Myu: God Zhe!! /cry]

[KOG.Myu: How can someone play like this, ahhh…]

Jian Yao was speechless and tapped on the keyboard.

[Jyao: Don’t you have your own captain?]

[AFG.Wzhe: @KOG.Ymo, take him out.]

[KOG.Ymo: Roger that.]

“Damn it!” Mo Yu tried to type something else in the chat box, but the system prompted—

[Player has been eliminated. Please do not interfere with other players’ normal gameplay~]

Mo Yu slumped back in his gaming chair, crossed his arms behind his head, and with a kick of his chair, slid over to Yin Mo’s side. “Captain, avenge me!”

“You, just sit back and watch quietly,” Yin Mo began to lecture, unable to hold back. “I told you to fix this habit of yours.”

“This isn’t a habit,” Mo Yu muttered in protest.

“No,” Yin Mo’s eyes never left the screen as he located the person hiding in the woods. “I’m talking about trusting others too easily.”

Jian Yao sensed a slight disturbance and quickly rolled toward the base of the tree, narrowly dodging an attack.

“Fast reflexes.”

“Captain, don’t praise him!” Mo Yu pouted unhappily. “You’re not allowed to praise him.”

Yin Mo chuckled softly. “Alright.”

The figure in the mist grew clearer.

Jian Yao broke into a cold sweat. The one seeking revenge for the proud, dramatic little troublemaker had arrived.

“Hold him off. I’m behind the tree.”

Wen Zhe’s voice was like a calming pill. Jian Yao quickly glanced at the location marked by Wen Zhe’s name and smiled.

Sorry, but he had his own backup too.

As Yin Mo approached, the weapon he held was a rather conventional greatsword.

But the more conventional it seemed, the more it concealed.

Moreover, rumors said Yin Mo had been upgrading his weapon recently. Who knew what new forms he had developed?

Better to stay cautious.

Yin Mo tilted the greatsword sideways, and new structures unfolded from both sides. He swung it up and brought it down toward Jian Yao. Only when it was almost upon him did Jian Yao see clearly—the sword’s energy was accompanied by hidden spikes. Jian Yao hurriedly dodged, but these spikes seemed equipped with trackers, relentlessly pursuing him.

Why was this happening?

Seizing a gap, Jian Yao threw a skill at Yin Mo. Unsurprisingly, all were dodged.

A gentle breeze swept by, the sound of the wind overwhelming Jian Yao’s hearing. Just as he felt danger closing in from all sides, the hidden spikes vanished with the wind. When he tried to confirm, Yin Mo swiftly retracted all the spikes.

Jian Yao seized the chance to close in on Yin Mo. The long whip in his hand quickly transformed into a longsword. The clash of weapons produced a piercing sound as neither gave ground.

Yin Mo’s warrior wasn’t as sluggish as those of the training camp rookies. He handled every detail perfectly and could even spot Jian Yao’s flaws.

While Jian Yao attacked, Yin Mo split into a clone that instantly shifted behind Jian Yao, activating a frenzy mode.

Under normal conditions, Yin Mo’s greatsword appeared in its ordinary form. But once in frenzy mode, the blade would sprout sharp edges, somewhat similar to Jian Yao’s jade whip. The only difference was that these edges couldn’t fragment to attack others. Instead, they transformed into vine-like ropes to entangle and trap the target, allowing teammates to coordinate their attacks.

Yin Mo checked the map, noting his teammates’ approach. Now was the perfect time to trap Jian Yao.

Seeing the figure teleport behind him, Jian Yao paused briefly, then quickly adjusted and lunged forward. Still, he was caught by the massive vine net behind him.

Looks like he was about to lose a life.

“Whoosh—”

A curved hook shot from afar, mercilessly slicing through all the vines. “Run!”

Only then did Jian Yao react, swiftly teleporting to Wen Zhe’s side.

“Ah, what a shame… reinforcements arrived,” Yin Mo sighed regretfully. “Just a little bit more.”

“Don’t you think using this move against an opponent who can repeatedly resurrect is a waste?”

As Wen Zhe’s words fell, a signal flashed across the sky.

[Defender’s Guardian Spirit has been slain. Defender’s Infinite Life BUFF has been removed.]

“So that’s how it is.”

Wen Zhe didn’t seem too concerned. This match was meant to be resolved quickly anyway, though without infinite revives, it might drag on a bit longer.

The current situation had also been seen through by Jian Yao—

The opponent had been stalling all along, steadily executing their plan to drag things out until the defending side had no advantages left.

“…But it’s a shame. If you weren’t here, it would be a 3v3 situation right now.” Yin Mo’s fingers unconsciously tapped the side of his keyboard. “Didn’t you want to end this quickly? Why aren’t you attacking?”

Just as Jian Yao was about to make a move, he noticed Wen Zhe standing motionless in place. “Aren’t you going to act?”

“That’s his provocation tactic,” Wen Zhe pointed at Yin Mo on the screen. “Look at the position of his weapon now. The moment you move, these hidden spikes will pierce your body, and the vine ropes will immediately bind you. The only outcome is death.”

“Hey, Wen Zhe, you’ve already spoiled everything. What’s left for me to hide?” Yin Mo waved his hand dismissively. “How boring.”

“Games always have rules you need to know beforehand. Why shouldn’t that apply here?” Wen Zhe retorted calmly.

“Well, he’s a newcomer, after all…” Yin Mo smiled faintly. “Shouldn’t he be bullied a little?”

“Bully your own teammates if you want,” Wen Zhe drew his weapon from behind. “As for my people… I’d rather cherish them.”

The moment the Wu Hook appeared with a clang, Yin Mo quickly muted all mics. “Everyone, stay hidden nearby. Don’t let Wen Zhe spot you. Mages, cast spells from stealth. Watch your positioning.”

“Understood.”

Jian Yao took out his jade whip, entering combat readiness. Dark clouds gradually gathered overhead, and raindrops began to fall, landing on the leaves.

“Sizzle— Sizzle—”

The sound of burning echoed…
