“Pfft!”

Just as his consciousness was about to plunge into the abyss, the sketch of Yang Yueqian flashed across Bai Tan’s mind.

In that instant, he remembered the scene of Yang Yueqian leaving with a face full of disappointment because of his sudden visit.Full novel: Assistant Bai Really Does Have a Three Year Old Child — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He swallowed hard.

A long sigh echoed in his heart: I really am a useless person with no situational awareness.

Bai Tan slowly withdrew his hand and lifted his gaze, meeting those dark, deep pupils.

He turned his head away and took a deep breath, struggling to grasp the last shred of logic before it hit rock bottom.

“I’m sorry, Teacher Huo… I’m shameless. I’ll call Teacher Yang over for you right now, and then I’ll leave immediately.”

He propped his arms on the bed, struggling to push himself up.

However, a large hand pressed down firmly on his shoulder, forcing him back down.

“I said just now, it was still in time for you to leave.” Huo Yang lowered his head, his damp hair brushing against Bai Tan’s neck.

Bai Tan felt an itch and couldn’t help but shrink his neck.

“But you didn’t leave, so you didn’t refuse at that time,” Huo Yang continued.

Bai Tan was still pondering the meaning of these words when, in the next second, the heavy weight of flesh and bone pressed down on him again. The heat enveloping his body was so intense that he couldn’t help but let out a soft moan.

He wanted to explain, but the man on top of him didn’t allow for words, biting down ruthlessly.

Just as Huo Yang had said, if one doesn’t respond at the moment, the question quickly loses its timeliness, and the answer becomes meaningless.

The kiss, like a violent storm, sucked away the hard-won rationality he had just managed to grab, stripping it away completely.

The thin shirt was roughly torn open. His fragile neck was rubbed by lips, and teeth landed neither too heavy nor too light on his carotid artery.

As a red-blooded young man, Bai Tan hadn’t never fantasized about such a scene.

But now, his mind was a complete blank. What consequences would follow this, or whether he would fall into a dark abyss because of it, were not questions he could consider at this moment.

Only his teetering brain couldn’t help but leap with joy.

He finally saw the scenery beneath those distinct veins above the bath towel from that time.

“Relax,” a low reminder, mixed with heavy breathing, fell heavily upon him.

Bai Tan shook his head unconsciously.

He let out a soft hum that sounded like release, yet also like a painful groan.

It was intermittent, yet continuous.

When he realized how embarrassing this was, he bit his lower lip hard, trying his best not to make a sound.

Slender, powerful fingers pinched his cheeks, forcing his mouth open.

“Cry out. It sounds good. I like it.”

Bai Tan’s blank mind completely forgot that Yang Yueqian lived next door. He also forgot that he had known the man on top of him for less than a month and had never even shared a basic level of eye contact. He simply followed the guidance of the man’s words, acting on reflex.

His soft voice was interrupted several times by breaths that felt like suffocation.

Because it hurt too much, tears fell uncontrollably.

“Gently… please be gentle…” he pleaded in a small voice.

Huo Yang slowly lifted his body slightly, gazing deeply into his eyes. His suppressed emotions tried to make his tone as gentle as possible:

“Okay, don’t cry. Relax a little more.”

Bai Tan believed him implicitly. He breathed a sigh of relief and slowly opened his curled-up body. In the next second, the heavily recurring movements became even more intense.

His brain stopped functioning entirely. All the sounds around him seemed to vanish. His neck felt as if it were being strangled tightly, and the air around his mouth was completely stripped away.

He could no longer suppress his voice, but the only things that came out were broken sobs.

The last thing Bai Tan heard before losing consciousness was a few words spoken with unstable breath:

“I… like…”

There seemed to be something else afterward, but he didn’t hear it clearly. His consciousness fell completely into the underworld.

At this moment, in the next room, Yang Yueqian gripped his phone tightly. It was unclear if he was using too much force, but the phone emitted a “clack-clack” sound as if it were about to break.

The sound frequency lines on the screen jumped continuously. The timer below showed:

30:22:00

Inside the large, dim room, one could hear a pin drop.

Huo Yang slowly opened his eyes.

It felt as if he had had a very, very long dream.

Out of habit, he moved to get up. The thing that had been wrapped in moist heat suddenly felt a wave of icy cold, becoming empty.

He froze for a moment, then turned his head.

The boy, wrapped in the quilt, had his body curled up tightly, sleeping soundly.

Huo Yang lowered his gaze, his fingers pressing and kneading his brow bone firmly.

He lifted his head to look at the water glass on the nightstand. He picked it up and rotated it, observing it carefully by the faint light of dawn.

A thin layer of white crystals had formed on the inner wall of the glass.

He also remembered Yang Yueqian visiting in the middle of the night, claiming he wanted to study the script, and then pulling him into a soulful confession.

Following that, his little assistant had come to the door, followed by the irrational entanglement and almost frenzied indulgence.

Huo Yang put down the glass and turned his head to look at the sleeping boy beside him.

Ding—

Suddenly, someone’s phone rang.

The person beside him moved, and a soft, drowsy murmur escaped his nose.

“Nngh.”

Muddled, Bai Tan fumbled around the pillow. He grabbed a phone at random and opened his bleary eyes.

Wait! This wasn’t his phone.

Bai Tan bolted upright. A sharp pain, as if his body were falling apart, instantly hit him. His waist felt as though several large sandbags were tied to it both heavy and aching.

He pounded his lower back and turned his head…

Meeting a pair of dark eyes.

He remembered…

It was over…

“Teacher Huo, I’m sorry… I lost my mind, I deserve to die.” Bai Tan knelt on the bed, pulling the sheet to cover his lower body, his hands pressed together in a sincere prayer of apology.

He felt his mistake wasn’t just sleeping with the public’s idol, but also tearing apart a young couple who were originally in love and meant to be sweet forever.

The latter was truly an unforgivable sin.

Huo Yang slowly closed his eyes, kneading his brow to relieve a headache.

Before he spoke, Bai Tan maintained that prayer-like gesture, waiting for his forgiveness.

Huo Yang lowered his hand and let out a soft sigh from his nose.

“Teacher Huo, please don’t worry. I will absolutely not tell anyone about this, especially Teacher Yang. We’ll just act as if nothing hap—”

Before Bai Tan could finish, his wrist was grabbed.

He had experienced the absolute strength of Huo Yang’s muscles last night, and it was the same now. His instinctive struggle was drowned in that power. After a moment of feeling suspended in the air, his feet left the ground.

Huo Yang picked him up with one arm, supporting his backside as he stood up and headed toward the bathroom.

Sitting in the crook of his arm, Bai Tan’s survival instinct made him subconsciously grab Huo Yang’s shoulders, before slowly letting go.

Even though he was holding him with one arm, he was still as steady as Mount Tai.

He stared at the tensed muscles of Huo Yang’s arm, where veins surfaced on the skin.

Once in the bathroom, Huo Yang set him down and reached for the showerhead, turning it on.

“Teacher… Teacher Huo…” Bai Tan didn’t understand what was happening; he could only shrink his body and stand tightly against the wall.

“It wasn’t your fault,” Huo Yang said lowly, staring at the puddles accumulating at their feet.

Muddled, Bai Tan thought: Then whose fault was it?

In the gap of his contemplation, a large, warm hand suddenly covered his buttocks.

He was startled and jerked his body straight: “Te-Teacher Huo, what are you doing…”

“Cleaning,” Huo Yang pressed him into the corner.

As if afraid of being seen by someone else, his tall frame pressed tightly against Bai Tan’s back, enveloping his shamed body.

Bai Tan bit his lower lip.

Ah, that strange sensation appeared again.

However, if it was just fingers, it was indeed not that painful.

The hot water hit the skin that had been tortured to a pink hue, making the temperature feel even hotter.

He couldn’t help but lean back against the ceramic tiles to relieve the burning heat.

Huo Yang’s breathing was close at hand. He could no longer distinguish between the temperature of the hot water and the temperature of his breath, circling around his sensitive ear.

“Take a rest today,” Huo Yang suddenly said.

Considering this might be the last day of his internship, Bai Tan’s sense of responsibility told him he had to stand at the last post, even if the dense pain in his lower body hadn’t eased at all.

He turned his face slightly and forced a smile:

“I’m fine. Besides, you still have work today.”

The moment the words left his mouth, his chin was pinched, and then his lips were bitten.

The showerhead fell to the floor, and the water sprayed upward like a fountain.

“What I mean is,” Huo Yang said, one hand gripping his wrist while his lips rubbed against the corner of Bai Tan’s mouth.

With his other hand pressed against the wall, confining Bai Tan within his arms with no way to escape, he continued:

“I plan to rest, too.”

Bai Tan: ???

How was this different from what he imagined? It seemed that compared to the original plot, things had severely…

Derailed.
