After a moment of silence, he spoke. “She’s not bad.”

Elder Lu was stunned. It seemed rare for him to hear a word of satisfaction from his youngest son’s mouth. He snorted. “Well, look who picked that wife for you! Regardless, you aren’t allowed to divorce her on your own whim! Get along well with her. If you dare to get a divorce, don’t you bother coming back to this house!”

Lu Yanzhou didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The old man had no idea that the daughter-in-law he was so concerned about was constantly trying to find ways to “cuckold” his son.

As Lu Yanzhou drove away, the scene was captured by someone hiding nearby. A photo of Jiang Wan getting out of the Bentley was sent to Jiang Qing.

Jiang Qing had just finished washing her hair. When she saw the photo, the corners of her mouth curled upward.

This bitch really is having an affair!

…

That evening, Jiang Wan walked out of the bathroom after a shower and received a call from An Laowu. “Little Ancestor, we have a One-glance treasure in the shop. Are you coming?”

In the antique circle, a “One-glance treasure” was the same as what antique shops called “open-door goods”—authentic items with a long history of being prized.

It was a piece of jargon used between sellers and buyers.

“What kind of goods?”

An Laowu chuckled. “A Song Dynasty Green-glazed Three-legged Toad. The distinguished guest is still waiting for a reply. Little Ancestor, hurry over!”

“I’ll be there soon.” Jiang Wan hung up, quickly changed her clothes, and walked out onto the balcony.

The Lu Residence had a curfew at night. Normally, she wouldn’t leave through the front door but would climb over the wall instead. She had been doing this for the past three years.

She had already mapped out exactly where the surveillance cameras were and where they weren’t.

Jiang Wan took a taxi to Jinyuan.

Jinyuan was the largest antique trading market in the capital, where basically all the dignitaries and elites of the antique circle gathered.

The streets were full of historical character, ancient and elegant, featuring everything from large shops to small roadside stalls.

Even though it was past eight in the evening, it was as lively as ever.

She wasn’t in the mood to browse and headed straight for the back door of Baibao Pavilion.

Inside Baibao Pavilion, a short, stout, middle-aged customer sat in the VIP room sipping tea.

Sitting opposite him was a young man dressed in plain cotton and linen clothes. He wore a necklace of expensive Heavenly Eye Beads and had a shiny, shaven head. His features were delicate, giving him a strangely otherworldly, monk-like aura.

“Manager An.” The customer set down his teacup. “I’m saying, it’s already been half an hour. Just how long does the owner of Baibao Pavilion want me to wait? If you really aren’t willing to pay this price, I’ll just go to Qianjin Building.”

In the antique market, there was a saying:

Baibao in the South, Qianjin in the North.

Both were the largest auction houses in Jinyuan and were considered rivals.

Baibao Pavilion was more like a refined Jiangnan villa, with delicate decorations focused on elegance. In contrast, the architecture of Qianjin Building leaned toward the style of the last century—resplendent, grand, and bold.

Hearing this, An Laowu smiled and said, “Don’t do that, President Wang. The price is negotiable. Our boss will be here very soon—”

Just as he finished speaking, the door to the private room was pushed open.

Several people looked over at the sound.

The “youth” who entered the room was wearing a casual suit. He had a slim build and a face as handsome and fair as a girl’s. He looked young and full of spirit.

President Wang was puzzled. “And you are?”

An Laowu introduced him. “President Wang, this is the owner of our Baibao Pavilion.”

“What?” President Wang was shocked.

The owner of Baibao Pavilion was actually such a young lad!

Jiang Wan lowered her voice to a rougher tone and handed over a card. “President Wang, it’s a pleasure to meet you. My surname is Guan. This is my business card.”

President Wang took it. It really was the owner of Baibao Pavilion.

However, the name “Guan”…

It was strange enough!

The appraiser standing by his side saw the name and was suddenly struck with astonishment. “You… you are actually the famous Guan Ye?!”
