Inside her room, Silya was losing her mind.
She pressed her back against the door, her hands shaking so hard she could barely hold her phone.
Every time she closed her eyes, she saw his face.
The guy outside didn’t even look human anymore.
He was completely covered in blood, with huge, ugly bumps all over his face, and his eyes were blood red.
Worse, a big piece of broken glass was stuck right in his head.
Just thinking about it terrified her.
Shaking, she quickly called Reian.
It rang, and Reian picked up instantly, sounding totally frantic.
“Silya?
Silya, what happened?
Are you okay?!”
“Reian, please get here fast!” Silya cried, gripping her hair.
“I’m locked in my upstairs room.
There’s a terrifying guy right outside the door.
What do I do?”
“Silya, don’t panic.
Breathe,” Reian said, forcing his voice to sound calm and steady.
“You’re a great strategic gamer.
Keep your head cool.
I’m coming right now.
Don’t call anyone else, and stay completely quiet.
I’ve got you.”
“Okay…” she whispered.
He hung up.
But right then, a loud bang shook the door.
The guy outside was slamming his body against it, trying to break it down.
On the street, Reian shoved his phone away and turned to Flame and Silvia. New chapters come out on g.com first.
“Silya is in danger.
We have to move now.”
They didn’t even ask questions.
They just ran.
The streets were chaotic, but they moved fast.
Reian killed 2 zombies blocking the way, Flame went full beast mode and brutally killed 5, and Silvia was an absolute savage, taking down 6 zombies without mercy.
They finally reached Silya’s house, but suddenly, a huge truck came roaring down the street.
The driver was infected, completely out of it.
The truck veered off and slammed straight into Silya’s boundary wall with a massive crash.
Reian, Flame, and Silvia jumped out of the way just in time.
Ignoring the wreck, they ran past it and burst inside the house.
Reian’s heart sank.
He bolted up the stairs, his chest heaving.
When he got to the top, he froze.
The bedroom door was completely broken down.
“Silya!!” Reian yelled, running into the room.
He stopped dead in his tracks, shocked.
The entire room was splattered with blood.
And lying right there on the floor was the dead body of the monster.
Suddenly, the closet door clicked open.
Silya stepped out, holding a heavy hammer.
Her hands and the hammer were totally covered in blood.
Reian just stared at her, completely stunned.
The spear he had made—the knife tied to the stick—dropped right out of his hand and hit the floor. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.
He didn’t care about anything else.
He ran over and hugged her tightly.
Silya froze for a second, but feeling his warmth, she suddenly burst into tears.
“Where were you?” she sobbed, burying her face in his shoulder.
Reian let out a huge breath of relief.
He pulled back a bit to check on her.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
Silya wiped her tears, leaving a bit of blood on her face.
“No, I’m not hurt.”
Reian made her sit down on a chair to calm her down, while Flame and Silvia stood guard at the broken doorway.
“How did you kill him?” Reian asked.
Silya swallowed hard.
“After you hung up, he kept hitting the door.
I panicked, looked around, and found a hammer.
The second the door broke and he jumped at me, I just hit him in the head as hard as I could.
Then I ran and hid in the closet.
Then I heard a loud crash outside, and a minute later, you were screaming my name.”
Reian smiled, looking genuinely proud.
“You’re amazing.
You made a great decision and didn’t let fear take over.”
Suddenly, Silya’s face changed.
She punched Reian right in the stomach, making him gasp.
“Then why did you take so long?!” she snapped, before looking at his arms and legs.
“And why the hell do you have books taped all over you?”
Hope you enjoyed the 15th chapter!
