We finally get to spend time together.” Neva said as she embraced Arthos accompanied by a slow and intimate kiss.

One that was uniquely theirs.

“I’m sorry Neva, things got crazy…and it seems like we have more work coming our way…but let’s worry about that later.

You look very beautiful today and you fought well.

God, I missed you so much!”

Neva giggled as Arthos expertly switched from a normal kiss to tickling kisses on her jaw and neck.

She smiled and laughed as he alternated between tender and tickle kisses along her neck.

He loved her more than life itself…her smile, her warmth, the gentle taste and fragrance of caramel on her skin.

He lost himself for a moment as he deepened his kiss.

“Ehem…we can come back later, if you are busy.” Wain said sheepishly as he and Kristan approached holding hands.

“Kris!

Wain!

Sorry, we’ve been so busy lately, I just wanted to steal Arty away for a moment.” Neva said still giggling with joy and ecstasy.

Being in love with Arthos changed her…Neva had become more expressive and open about her feelings.

In addition, she and Kristan had grown close…like sisters.

During countless dungeon raids, they learned to rely on each other and confide in one another.

Aside from fighting, they enjoyed spending time together on earth and Avalor.

“Hey guys!

Umm…what’s up?

Everything ok?” Arthos asked as he resumed his usual composure.

Over the last year, he had developed into a manly man with broad shoulders and a muscular body.

It was hard to believe he was the same person as the orphanage kid from a year ago.

“Well, we were waiting until after we completed the mission to share the news with everyone…but we can’t wait.” Kristan said with an excited voice.

“We are moving in together!” Kristan and Wain said in unison…clearly having rehearsed beforehand.

“Oh wow!

Congratulations!

I’m so happy for you!

My sister and my best friend moving in!” Arthos said genuinely shocked.

He honestly did not see this coming at all.

“Kris!

Oh my!

I’m so happy for you!” Neva said with excitement as she hugged her friend tightly.

“So how did this happen?

When?

I’m honestly shocked!

I didn’t see this coming at all.” Arthos said still amazed by the news.

He was honestly happy for his friends, but oddly felt things were moving too fast.

“Well, after you left the orphanage, it didn’t feel the same without you.

“Where are you moving to?

Have you found a place yet?” Neva asked.

“Yes!

We found a cute condo near the Rose Diner.

It needs some remodeling, but the location is great, and the price is fantastic, only $1 million.” Kristan said with excitement.

“Do you have a realtor yet?

A construction foreman?

I will be glad to help with the closing, escrow, and renovations.

Whatever you need.

Do you have pictures?

I would like to see them.” Neva offered as she swapped personalities like Dr.

Jekyll and Mr.

Hyde.

“Yeah, check it out.” Kristan said as she pulled Neva aside to show her pictures using the system interface.

“That reminds me, we will be taking some time off.

Arthos can we talk for a minute?

I have some ideas of how to rearrange our schedules and duties.” Wain said as he pulled Arthos away.

[…]

“Bro, I made that up…I don’t have any schedule ideas.

I need to talk to you…I’m freaking out!” Wain whispered frantically.

“What?

Why?

Is everything ok?” Arthos asked worried.

“Honestly, I can’t complain.

Things are going great with Kristan.

Just look at her, she is gorgeous, strong, brave, and smart…and I love her to death…but it’s just that…just that I don’t deserve her…”

“What?” Arthos asked.

His worry-level rose the more he heard.

“We…we haven’t…you know…we haven’t “done it” yet…so I’m freaking out about that.

How are we going to live together without you know?” Wain said extremely embarrassed.

[…]

“Girl, I appreciate your business help but right now we have a bigger problem.” Kristan said in a hushed voice.

“What’s wrong?

Is everything ok?” Neva asked concerned.

“It’s nothing…Wain is sweet, and gentle, and a perfect gentleman…” Kristan said somewhat embarrassed, but she desperately needed to talk to someone about this.

“So?

What’s the problem?” Neva asked.

“That’s the problem!

We haven’t had sex yet!

He refuses to make a move.

I almost had to force him to touch me…am I getting fat?

Am I hideous?

Repulsive or something?” Kristan asked angerly.

“What?

No.

Look at you, you’re gorgeous.

Any girl would kill to have your face and your curves.

On top of that, you are strong, fierce, and a good friend.” Neva said with empathy as she wrapped her arms around her friend in a supporting embrace.

“Then what is it?

Why won’t he make his move?

We have been dating for over a year now…I was expecting more.

I was hoping to have an intimate relationship…you know…on a regular basis.” Kristan said annoyed.

“I know what you mean…and I sympathize with you.

Arty and I haven’t been intimate either.” Neva confessed.

This had been bothering her for a long time and she really wanted to talk to someone about it.

[…]

“What?

What do you mean you haven’t been intimate yet.” Wain said as he struggled to keep his voice down.

“Shhh, shhh.

Keep it down.

It’s hard for me to say it…but I’m scared alright.” Arthos admitted with embarrassment.

He continued, “I’m scared I will end up hurting her.

I’m stuck here in this world.

She is on earth…I want to be with the real Neva.

I want to hold her hand, kiss her, and you know…other stuff.

What if I never leave this planet?

I can’t do that to her.” Arthos said frustrated.

“Have you talked to her about it?

Have you told her how you feel?” Wain asked.

“No…I can’t…I just can’t.

I can’t bear to see her hurt or disappointed.” Arthos said in a defeated voice.

“Well.

I thought I had it bad.” Wain said with a chuckle.

“If you love Kristan…really love her…don’t wait to make your move.

I’ve known Kristan for a long time.

Trust me, she loves you and wants to be with you.

I’m honestly excited and happy for you both…I only wish I could be there to help you move and settle in.” Arthos said with a smile.
