[CAMARAX KINGDOM – CASTLE CAMARAX]

[Two Days Later]

It was the event of the year.Full novel: Avalor Legacy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was an event that would have a far reaching and long last impact…not just on the players of Avalor, but to the entire world.

It would result in hundreds of trillions of dollars shifting away from NAVA into Alliance Corp., a newly formed legal entity under the Arden Industries conglomerate.

The financial impact alone would ripple across the entire planet impacting billions of lives across the financial, tech, energy, and manufacturing sectors.

Ironically, it was the least witnessed event of the century.

Less than 1 million people watched the live-stream.

In fact, more people opted to view Dodge Spaghetti Ball (a sleezy show with women in bikinis playing dodgeball with large spaghetti meatballs.)

One this day, all the nobles, generals, and royal family members from Camarax along with millions of citizens were present to witness the public treaty signing ceremony between the Kingdom of Camarax and the Scavengers guild.

Neva and Wain had worked tirelessly with an army of lawyers for three months as they reviewed, edited, discussed, and negotiated countless details with Camarax’s top advisors.

Like expert used-car salesmen on steroids, they negotiated and argued every minor point from the use of the word “they” and “he” and “realm” and “kingdom.”

The final version of the treaty provided the following key points,

Article I — Purpose of the Alliance

Both parties enter into a sacred and binding alliance for the protection, stability, and flourishing of their peoples.

Article II — Mutual Defense

Should either party be attacked, threatened, or undermined by foreign powers, the other shall provide military aid without delay, defend the sovereignty and borders of the threatened realm, commit forces, supplies, and strategic support until the danger is ended.

Article III — Non Aggression

Both parties swear to never raise arms against one another, never to harbor enemies of the other, never to conspire, directly or indirectly, to weaken the other’s rule. This chapter is updated first at novelping(.)com.

Article IV — Shared Prosperity

Scavengers guild would be awarded exclusive rights to all dungeons in the Kingdom of Camarax and be allowed to mine all mana crystals therein.

The financial impact was estimated to be 800 trillion dollars.

In exchange, Camarax was to collect 20% of the proceeds, payable in gold or silver on a quarterly basis.

Scavengers guild would be awarded exclusive ownership of all monster carcasses, remains, and any drops/equipment (if any).

A joint council was established to resolve disputes peacefully.

The Great Hall and surrounding courtyard were crowded with an ocean of faces present to witness the event.

In one majestic and somewhat magical gesture, the crowd silenced to a whisper as the herald introduced the King and distinguished guests.

The King and Arthos stood opposite one another.

Between the two was a majestic table made of marble.

Upon it laid a single scroll bound in a golden thread.

Next to it were a supply of wax and a single candle.

After much discussion, the guild leaders agreed on a simple emblem for the Scavengers guild.

It was a broken gear wrapped in tree veins resembling the Verdant Wall.

The gear was connected to wings resembling an eagle.

The colors chosen were green, brown, and white.

“The gear announces to the world that even though we may have been forgotten and left in ruin, we are resourceful and resilient…we survived and found a way to thrive like a phoenix or a great eagle.” Wain said as he explained to the rest of the guild the meaning behind the emblem’s design.

The King pressed his ring into the fresh wax forming a seal resembling Camarax’s emblem of a silver and teal colored eagle.

The two seals melted into one…representing the union of two great powers.

The crowd roared in applause as the herald spoke the final binding words before them as witnesses.

He said, “on this day, beneath the banners of Camarax’s silver and teal eagle and Scavengers guild’s green and brown wheel, let it be known that the Rulers have placed their seals upon this pact, binding their domains in unity for perpetuity.

Let it be known and let it be remembered that this treaty is sealed under the sight of gods and men.”

[UNITED STATES – PENTAGON]

He sat behind a dark wooden desk in the center of his practically arranged and decorated office as he watched the live-stream of the ceremony taking place in Camarax.

Behind his desk hung the seal of the Joint Chiefs of Staff…a seal that was more than mere decoration.

It was his life’s work and it symbolized the countless sacrifices he had made and was willing to make for his country.

“Sir!

The mission was a failure…both the King and Princess live.” A soldier reported with concealed nervousness.

“Yes, I see that.

No need to state the obvious.” General Mercer replied with annoyance.

“Sir!

What are your orders?”

“Proceed with Project Twilight.

If that moron Morgan and his lawyer fail to stop this alliance in court, we will have no choice than to do things the hard way.

We can’t allow this alliance to take root, doing so will undermine our nation’s security.” The General said sternly.
