The Southern Air Temple!

Reaching the temple on foot is virtually impossible; the only safe way is by flight.

The temple was surrounded by clouds, mist, and powerful air currents, forming the perfect environment for airbenders.

In a corner of an airbender training field.

”Sami”—or more accurately, “Sora”—was sitting on a small rock, watching the children play and perform magical feats, like controlling air in the shape of a ball, or using the wind to fly!

The scene was enchanting by nature, but Sora had grown used to it some time ago.

For since his arrival in this world, he was initially unaccustomed to being, first and foremost, a bald child who can “airbend.” The previous body’s talent was excellent in airbending, but it did not reach the level of exaggeration.

The owner of this body was an orphan and was isolated from the other children to a certain degree; he sometimes plays with them and laughs, and sometimes isolates himself from them.

The current Sami, or Sora, did not care about the child’s past because he was aware that the Air Nomad clan had an appointment to go extinct, and that in the future, everyone in the temple—elders, women, and children—will die because of the Fire Nation!

Sora decided to learn airbending to the level of a master, then board his “flying bison” mount and flee to an isolated island to train his powers to a level where he can defend himself.

As for the airbender clan…

“I am sorry, but I do not possess the power even to protect myself, do you expect me to protect you?!

But if I increase in power, I will avenge you all,” Sora was muttering these words while looking at the children who were playing.

Seeing the children enjoying themselves and playing while you are the only one who knows they will be killed is a painful thing, and that you cannot do anything is a harsher thing.

”What a cruel world…

for the cartoon depicts the world to you with something of laughter and comedy, but ignores and does not show scenes of genocides of humans and tribes,” Sora completed his speech with himself.

He had tried to inform the monks that the Fire Nation would attack the temple, and tried to convince Monk Gyatso of the news, but received nothing except Gyatso’s smile and telling him not to worry and that the clan is isolated from the world.

Sora stopped thinking about all these matters and decided to go to the monks and do a test in order to succeed in reaching the rank of “Master” in airbending.

For to reach the rank of “Master,” you must reach level 35 of the airbending levels out of 36 levels, and to reach this rank and obtain the famous “blue arrow tattoo,” an individual needed to invent a new technique or master the final level.

Sora decided to display the “Moonwalk” technique, which he invented from his viewing of the anime One Piece in his past life.

In “Moonwalk,” the user kicks the air with speed and force, creating a propulsion force enabling him to fly and soar in the sky and move with great speed in the air.

Sora was aware that airbenders would find it easy to learn this technique due to their control over air, and it would not require great physical fitness because most elements of the technique will be controlled by the bender himself.

Sora decided before his departure from the temple to leave them several techniques from his past life so they could learn them and be able, at least, to defend themselves or perhaps even escape.

Sora is a selfish person, but he is not devoid of feelings; if it were in his power to change history, he would do so, but he is at an age that does not allow him to show all his capabilities.

Sora entered a large room surrounded by several monks sitting in their places in the shape of a circle surrounding him.

”Hello, boring monks!” Sora opened his mouth in a strange greeting.

”Sora!

Do you not know how to respect elders, how dare you describe them as boring?!” shouted an old monk who was among those sitting.

”Sora, what brought you here?” asked another monk, accustomed to Sora’s insolence and tone.

For Sora was known in the Air Temple for his lack of commitment to the rules, whether it was bowing or adhering to times; he was like a mischievous student who does not care about the rules and laws of the temple.

If not for Monk Gyatso, he would have been expelled some time ago from the temple.

Sora looked at them and did not care, for he is from a different culture, and they do not have kneeling and bowing to people, so he will not change his nature and his Arabic culture just because he transferred to this world.

For if I were forced one day to kneel, I would kneel to my parents and not to everyone I see, for I view myself as precious and do not like to humble myself to people.

This is not arrogance, but self-respect; for I do not seek from anyone among humans mercy or satisfaction with me, for they are all humans and I am a human, so they are not better than me, nor am I better than them.

He who respects is respected, and he who mistreats me, I will mistreat him at the same time.

”Tell me, Sora, did you come to test for the master rank?” Gyatso looked at Sora with a gentle gaze.

”Yes, Master Gyatso.” The only person Sora respected was Gyatso, because he was a kind person and not committed to old or boring rules, and does not care if a person breaks an unimportant rule as long as he did not harm anyone.

”Good, good, Sora.

I know your current level, but to reach the rank of Master, you must invent a new technique.

Have you invented a new technique?!” Gyatso asked while looking, curiosity filling his eyes.

”Yes, Master Gyatso.

For my new technique, I call it ‘Moonwalk.’ It allows the user to kick the air with speed and force, creating a propulsion force enabling him to fly and soar in the sky and move with great speed in the air.” Sora demonstrated the technique; he jumped into the air until he reached a height of 19 meters while standing in the sky, such that he is standing on the void!

The monks looked at Sora as he stood in the sky; after a minute, the monks recognized Sora’s technique and its principle, looking at Sora’s foot as it stands and kicks on the air in a manner enabling him to remain in the air and control the sky.
