Chapter 4: First Loot II

Awakening the Useless Class...But I am Secretly the Strongest!

He opened his backpack and took out dozens of offensive magic scrolls.

Instead of saving them, he carefully placed several inside each pit.

These weren’t ordinary attack scrolls.

They were Magic Mine Scrolls.

The moment someone stepped on them, they would explode.

After placing the mines in all ten pits, Ryan covered them with branches, dirt, and grass until they looked completely natural.

Finally, he inflated several giant Ogre-shaped balloons and placed them around the trapped area.

After smearing Ogre blood over every balloon, the entire field was filled with the scent that Orcs hated the most.

Ryan wasn’t finished yet.

A few hundred meters behind the first ten pits, he dug one final hole.

Unlike the others, this one was much larger and much deeper.

"This one..."

"...is for the Orc Chief."

"If that guy survives the first ten traps, he’ll end up here."

Ryan looked over the battlefield he had spent half a day preparing.

Everything was finally ready.

All that remained was to lure the entire Orc village into the trap.

Ryan checked every trap one last time to make sure nothing was wrong.

After confirming everything was in place, he took out the bottle of Ogre blood.

Being extremely careful, he poured the blood over a spare axe he had bought earlier. He made sure not a single drop landed on his clothes or body.

"I’m not stupid enough to become their target."

Next, Ryan carefully made a trail of Ogre blood from the traps all the way toward the Orc village.

He made sure the scent was strong enough for the Orcs to follow.

After finishing, he hid all traces of his footsteps as much as possible before approaching the village.

Soon, the wooden walls of the Orc village came into view.

Several Orc guards stood at the entrance with large axes in their hands.

Ryan hid behind a tree and waited until the guards looked in another direction.

Then he threw the blood-covered axe with all his strength.

The axe spun through the air and landed near the village gate.

The bottle tied to it shattered instantly.

Splash!

Ogre blood scattered across the ground and onto several Orc guards.

The Orcs froze.

They sniffed the air.

A second later, their eyes turned red.

"ROAAAR!"

One Orc let out a furious roar.

The entire village became noisy.

More and more Orcs rushed out after smelling the Ogre blood.

Ryan didn’t stay to watch.

He immediately turned around and ran.

As he ran, he continued dripping Ogre blood onto the ground to strengthen the trail, making sure none of it touched him.

Behind him, the sound of heavy footsteps became louder and louder.

Hundreds of Orcs charged out of the village, following the scent without hesitation.

Ryan looked back once.

Just as the YouTuber had said, the Orcs completely ignored everything else.

Their only goal was to find the Ogre.

Ryan increased his speed and followed the route he had prepared.

A few minutes later, the hidden traps came into view.

He quickly moved around them and hid behind a large rock less than one hundred meters away.

Now all he had to do was wait.

The first wave of Orcs rushed into the field without slowing down.

They spotted the Ogre-shaped balloons in the distance.

Their angry roars echoed across the forest as they charged straight toward them, completely unaware of what lay beneath their feet.

The first Orc reached the edge of the field.

Boom!

A Magic Mine exploded inside the first pit.

The blast destroyed the thin covering of branches and grass.

A massive hole instantly opened beneath the charging Orcs.

Unable to stop their momentum, dozens of Orcs fell straight into the pit.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Magic Mines buried inside exploded one after another.

The entire pit was engulfed in flames.

Many Orcs were killed before they even reached the bottom.

Those who survived the fall landed on the wooden spikes, while the Orcs charging from behind were caught in the explosions and thrown into the pit as well.

The same scene repeated across the battlefield.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

One giant pit after another exploded.

Each blast revealed another massive hole hidden beneath the grass.

Dozens of Orcs kept falling into them.

The explosions lasted for several minutes.

Ryan watched everything from behind a large rock.

"I spent every coin I had..."

"It looks like it was worth it."

The Magic Mine Scrolls were much stronger than he had expected.

Even Level 40 and Level 50 Orc Warriors couldn’t survive multiple explosions inside the pits.

Soon, blue notifications began appearing before him.

[You have defeated a Level 43 Orc Warrior.]

[You have gained Experience.]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[You have defeated a Level 47 Orc Berserker.]

[Level Up!]

[You have defeated a Level 52 Orc Captain.]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

More and more notifications filled his vision.

His level rose rapidly.

Level 3.

Level 4.

Level 5.

Then Level 6.

The experience from defeating dozens of monsters far above his own level was enormous.

Ryan ignored every notification.

His real target was still alive.

His eyes remained fixed on the back of the Orc army.

A giant Orc nearly four meters tall stood there.

Unlike the others, it wore dark robes decorated with bones and carried a twisted wooden staff.

Ryan looked at its name.

Level 60 - Orc Shaman Chief

"So it really is an Orc Shaman Chief."

Ryan nodded.

"Shamans are much more intelligent than ordinary Orcs."

He watched it carefully.

"If it realizes what’s happening, my entire plan will fail."

The Orc Shaman Chief looked at the exploding pits with narrowed eyes.

For a moment, Ryan thought it would stop.

Then the Shaman Chief caught the scent of the Ogre blood again.

Its eyes instantly turned blood-red.

The hatred between Orcs and Ogres was simply too deep.

Even a Shaman couldn’t ignore it.

With a furious roar, it charged straight toward the Ogre balloons.

Ryan smiled.

"Perfect."

The Orc Warriors behind it slowed down.

They had just watched hundreds of their comrades die inside the giant pits.

As proud warriors, they considered dying to traps a disgrace.

Many of them hesitated.

However, after seeing their leader continue charging, they followed behind without another thought.

Ryan quietly looked toward the eleventh pit in the distance.

"Come a little closer..."

"Your turn is next."
