After successfully paying for the self heating hot pots, self heating rice meals, various flavors of instant noodles, sausages, biscuits, and other fast food items in her shopping cart, she added many more instant foods from different brands into the cart.

Buy, buy, buy! Hoard, hoard, hoard like crazy!

As expected, spending money was the happiest thing in the world, Yan Qing thought.Full novel: Back to 100 Days Before the Apocalypse: I Sold My Possessions and Frantically Stockpiled Supplies — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Knock knock.

“Miss Yan, all of your dishes are ready. Shall we start serving them now?”

“Mhm.”

Yan Qing got up and sat at the dining table, her eyes following the waiter’s movements as he brought in the dishes. Looking at the incredibly lavish spread before her, she felt so happy she practically wanted to bubble over.

After all the dishes had been served, the waiter tactfully withdrew and closed the door behind him.

Yan Qing could no longer hold back. She wiped away the drool at the corner of her mouth, then with a thump, she propped one foot up on the chair like a bandit and picked up her bowl and chopsticks to start eating.

Image? What image?

There was no such thing.

After three years in the apocalypse, anyone who still cared about appearances would have died long ago!

She first picked up a piece of abalone from the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup and placed it into her mouth, chewing slowly.

Instantly, the abalone’s uniquely springy texture danced across her lips and tongue.

She picked up the spoon beside her and took a sip of the golden broth.

The rich, savory flavor burst across her taste buds immediately.

Setting down her chopsticks, she picked up a rice scoop and filled a bowl with fragrant matsutake fried rice. Paired with the entire table of dishes in different flavors, it tasted so good that even if the world exploded, she probably would not notice!

Three years in the apocalypse.

Three whole years!

That was an apocalypse where people would smash each other’s heads open over a single packet of instant noodles!

Ever since the apocalypse began, she had never eaten such a fresh and delicious meal. On top of that, she had practically worked herself to death supporting her eldest uncle’s family.

It had been far too miserable!

Thinking back to the suffering of her previous life, Yan Qing could not help but sob.

She was a strong willed and stubborn woman.

Ever since her parents died, she had felt there was no reason left in this world that could make her cry.

Yet now, recalling the suffering she had endured in her previous life, she still could not stop herself from breaking down into tears.

Fortunately, the private room had excellent soundproofing.

No one could hear her.

After crying for quite a while, Yan Qing picked up tissues from the table and wiped away her tears. She blew her nose several times before finally calming herself down and continuing to eat enthusiastically with her bowl and chopsticks!

After eating and drinking her fill, she let out two huge burps and rested for a while, rubbing her stomach filled with delicious food before finally standing up to pay the bill.

After paying, she took the menu and looked through it.

When she finished, she decided to order one thousand portions of every dish in the restaurant.

Originally, she had planned to leave the villa’s address, but since the villa could be sold at any time, she instead left the restaurant manager’s contact information.

She informed the manager that if she had not sent him a new address, everything should be delivered directly to the villa. Once she provided a new address, deliveries should be redirected there.

After leaving the restaurant, Yan Qing sat in her car and opened her navigation app. She casually selected the address of a rental agency and stepped on the gas.

“Hello, I’d like to rent a warehouse.”

After removing her sunglasses and walking inside, Yan Qing immediately stated her request to the staff.

“I want a spacious warehouse, preferably somewhere in the suburbs.”

She had thought it through carefully.

Renting in the city would be convenient, but the risk was too high. Since she planned to buy a huge amount of supplies, it would be better to rent a warehouse somewhere isolated.

Obviously, the suburbs outside the city were a good choice.

The only question was whether a suitable location existed.

After discussing it with the agent, the agent nodded to indicate understanding, then took out his phone and called someone saved as Somewhat Run Down Self Built House.

“Hello, hello, Sister Zhu? Hey, hey, it’s Xiao Zhang. Are you free right now? I’m bringing someone over to take a look at the house you’re renting out.”

“Hey, hey, we’re heading over now. Ah, okay, okay, I’ll hang up first!”

After Agent Zhang hung up, he drove the company car and took Yan Qing toward the suburbs.

Along the way, they traveled from the city to the suburbs, then from the suburbs to sparsely populated areas, and finally from sparsely populated areas to a place where almost no one ever went.

After nearly an hour and a half, they finally arrived.

Stepping out of the car and looking at the run down brick house before her, Yan Qing’s mouth twitched.

Still, the surrounding environment did fit her requirements.

Clicking along in her high heels, she walked through the shabby brick house to inspect it.

It looked run down outside, but the interior was not too bad. It merely showed signs of age. She was not sure if the landlady had just cleaned it, but there was not much dust either.

She looked around at the empty house. There were only a few dim light bulbs hanging inside, one of which flickered constantly.

The landlady enthusiastically introduced the advantages of her house.

“Oh, little sister, even though my place is far from the city, there aren’t any people around it, right? Haha!”

After saying that, Sister Zhu wiped her face and immediately burst into awkward laughter herself.

After laughing for a while, she noticed both the agent and Yan Qing staring at her speechlessly, and she immediately coughed awkwardly.

“How much per month?”

“Five thousand a month!” Sister Zhu said while holding up her right hand.

“Five thousand for three months. Not a cent more.”

Yan Qing remained expressionless.

Silently, Yan Qing thought to herself that Sister Zhu had certainly learned how to name prices. This place was so remote birds probably would not even bother flying over it, and she still wanted five thousand a month.

“Miss Yan, look how spacious this place is. Even if you use it as a warehouse, it’ll definitely work perfectly! How about adding a little more?”

“Sister Zhu, five thousand for three months! Give me a straight answer. If it works, it works. If not, then I won’t rent it.”

After saying that, Yan Qing turned and prepared to leave.

Seeing this, the landlady immediately reached out and grabbed her.

“Aiya, Miss Yan, don’t leave! Fine, five thousand for three months it is! But when the contract ends, you have to move everything out immediately!”

“Don’t worry. Once the contract is up, I’ll definitely return it exactly as it was.”

After signing the rental agreement under the agent’s witness, Sister Zhu handed the rusty iron key to the front gate over to Yan Qing.

She then rode back with the agent to the rental agency. After paying the agent one month’s rent as commission, she drove around the city leisurely.

She first visited various restaurants around the city and ordered all kinds of dishes and desserts.

After paying deposits, she went to the snack street and swept through it from beginning to end.

Barbecue, spicy hot pot, bobo chicken, stinky tofu, milk tea, and everything else had not escaped her.

She placed orders for one thousand portions of each.

She gave them the warehouse address and requested delivery within half a month. Deliveries had to be made after dark and they had to call her beforehand.

Afterward, she drove to the largest Wow Supermarket in the city and went directly to the service desk to ask to meet the supermarket manager.

The staff saw Yan Qing’s rich and noble aura and assumed some upper level executive had come down for an inspection.

Panicked, they hurriedly escorted her toward the manager’s office.

After bringing her there, they served two cups of hot tea before closing the door and quietly leaving.
