Quang Binh, the outskirts.

Under a twilight sky glowing crimson like blood, a large black SUV bearing the logo of the Thien Vuong Conglomerate sped like an arrow along the coastal road, heading straight toward a desolate tidal flat located on the edge, about 40 kilometers from Quang Binh City.

Inside the quiet cabin of the vehicle, four male figures were seated.Full novel: Back to the Future: The Primordial Reboot — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Aside from the driver—a veteran chauffeur who had followed Chairman Vuong Thanh for many years—the rest were not employees of the Thien Vuong Conglomerate, though they had deep-rooted ties to it.

Namely, Young Master Vuong and his companions.

In the back row, Vuong Minh, Uncle Binh, and a young police officer named Ly Phong—a prized student specially dispatched by his uncle, Nguyen Hung Cuong—sat facing one another.

All three closed their eyes to rest and preserve their energy, keeping the atmosphere quite subdued.

Vuong Minh turned his head, squinting slightly out the window to watch the gentle lapping of the waves.

Remembering the scene of persuading his parents late last night, a smile involuntarily tugged at the corners of his mouth.

Recalling Old Vuong’s tear-eyed, emotionally charged expression—his fighting spirit burning once more with youthful vigor when he chuunibyou-ed, “An eagle will eventually leave its nest one day”—coupled with his mother’s glare that looked ready to commit murder the moment Old Eagle heroically gave his consent, a wave of warmth washed over his heart, bringing an inexplicable happiness.

If he were a useless parasite, Vuong Minh wouldn’t mind following his parents’ arrangements: acting as a pampered young master, smoothly entering university, getting gilded with credentials, and then returning home leisurely to cultivate while waiting to inherit the family assets.

But unfortunately, he wasn’t.

The emergence of the Violet Star did not permit him to live a mediocre life, compounded with his adventurous nature and thirst for strength.

His future was destined not to be ordinary.

Let alone assisting the police in hunting down criminals, one day Great Emperor Vuong would undoubtedly step onto the battlefield, hacking down alien races and fighting for his life against powerhouses of the Myriad Realms.

No one could guarantee how far he would go or when he might lose his life; even Vuong Minh himself couldn’t say for sure.

Perhaps letting his parents have another child—giving the two elders a future pillar of support while also diverting some of his mother’s overwhelming attention—wasn’t a bad idea either.

Otherwise…

reflecting on today’s tragic domestic scene at Old Vuong’s house, Vuong Minh suddenly felt that being a filial son wasn’t all that easy.

He silently made up his mind right then and there.

…..

Just as he was lost in thought, Ly Phong gave a light throat-clearing to draw everyone’s attention, quickly bringing up a virtual map on the vehicle’s control panel.

The image of a man with a buzz cut, dark skin, and narrow, sinister, ruthless eyes suddenly appeared.

Ly Phong slowly began to speak:

“Junior Brother Vuong, pay attention.

This time our target is a notorious cross-border criminal who has committed numerous horrifying murders in Thai Nation, Cam Nation, and neighboring countries.

His real name is Somsak, alias Sea Viper, and his recorded cultivation is at the Fifth Stage of the Spirit Channeling Realm.

This guy is ruthless, cunning, and stops at nothing to achieve his goals—even laying hands on innocent civilians, women, and children.

His actions have been classified by the Alliance as a high-risk criminal, and a Blue Star Level-D arrest warrant has been issued for him.”

“He is famous for his snake-like, agile footwork and wide-area attacks laced with deadly venom.

This is why he is ranked among high-risk criminals even though his cultivation is only at the Fifth Stage of the Spirit Channeling Realm.

Recently, the surveillance system detected that the suspect crossed the sea to infiltrate Viet Nation, and his motives remain unclear.

Orders from above are to capture him alive, but if he resists, he can be executed on the spot.

For everyone’s safety, I suggest killing him immediately.

Do you have any objections?”

Vuong Minh withdrew his smiling expression, his eyes turning icy as he nodded:

“I follow Senior Brother’s arrangements completely.

I have no objections.”

“Very good!”

Seeing his proper and obedient attitude, Ly Phong’s expression softened considerably, and he even managed a rare smile:

“Of course, Master has also given instructions.

If possible, Senior Brother will do his best to let you show off a bit, but don’t expect too much.

Safety first above all else.

If things go sideways, Junior Brother, don’t blame Senior Brother.” The source of this chapter is g.com.

“I have noted it down and will be careful.” — Since professional work required expert guidance, Vuong Minh naturally had no objections and obediently nodded.

Seeing that he showed no reluctance, Ly Phong nodded with satisfaction and pulled a metal suitcase out from under his seat.

“This is the spirit armor and energy gun that Master borrowed from the provincial police department for you.

Junior Brother, put them on.

Even though the plan is foolproof, facing these desperate criminals, defensive gear is never redundant.

Also, Junior Brother knows how to use a gun, right?”

Vuong Minh received the equipment and smoothly donned it.

After placing a Low-grade spirit stone into the formation core, the black armor instantly emitted a violent surge of spiritual fluctuations before quickly stabilizing and retracting its glow back to its initial state.

From the outside, it looked no different than before, but the sense of safety increased markedly.

Chairman Vuong, his heart as steady as an old hound, turned to Ly Phong and replied:

“Senior Brother, rest assured, I know how to use these items.”

The familiar proficiency with which he activated the spirit armor proved everything.

Ly Phong looked with suppressed envy at the Spirit Armor swallowing the spirit stone and entering its full-power operational state, with no further questions remaining.

Everyone began a final check of their weapons as the vehicle slowly decelerated and came to a stop about two kilometers away from the target.

Arriving at the destination, before them stood an abandoned, desolate, and dilapidated fish farm, with rows of rusted corrugated iron shacks standing in isolation amidst the sandbars.

…..

Ly Phong lifted a tablet and gently pressed the startup button.

Several fly-like reconnaissance devices emerged from the back of the tablet like phantoms, silently infiltrating the camp to record video footage.

Just a few minutes later, thermal imaging transmitted back showed a figure sitting cross-legged and hiding deep in a corner of the warehouse.

His breathing was steady and calm, and spiritual energy detection picked up fluctuating ripples radiating from him.

Clearly, he was a martial artist without a doubt.

Coupled with this gloomy, eerie environment, it was impossible for him not to be a criminal.

Whether this person was Sea Viper Somsak or not, however, wasn’t entirely certain.

Still, Ly Phong didn’t particularly want to infiltrate and investigate further.

Letting the reconnaissance drones make one more sweep to confirm absolutely no other powerful life signatures existed in the surrounding area, he decisively gave the order:

“One person stays behind to guard the vehicle.

Uncle Binh, you handle your own task, and Junior Brother Vuong, follow me!”

The three of them obeyed the order and moved out.

Throwing the cumbersome tablet back into the car, Ly Phong traveled light, leading Vuong Minh to slowly tighten the encirclement.

The two of them used the rows of rusted iron shacks as cover, silently closing in on the target.

When the distance closed to just over a hundred meters, Somsak, with the instincts of a veteran criminal, sensed the abnormality:

“Who is there?” — He sprang up like a spring, intending to bolt straight toward the sea.

But Ly Phong was a step faster:

“Attack!”

Ly Phong roared, unleashing his Late Stage Spirit Channeling Realm cultivation to the absolute limit.

He burst forward like a tearing wind, charging straight into the warehouse.

The thin corrugated iron walls acted like mere tissue paper, offering no resistance whatsoever.

BOOM!

Thunder Shock Fist!

Spirit energy erupted, and flashes of electricity illuminated the entire night while clearly revealing Somsak’s unmistakable face.

Relieved and hesitating no further, Ly Phong delivered the Thunder Shock Fist, laden with formidable force, directly into the opponent’s chest.

This sent the Sea Viper flying backward, smashing through rotting wooden crates.

Giving the opponent no time to breathe, Ly Phong also rapidly drew his energy gun and opened fire without a second word.

Brilliant blue beams of light tore through space, embedding themselves straight into Somsak’s shoulders and legs, kicking up columns of grey smoke accompanied by the Sea Viper’s miserable screams. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

“Vuong Minh, finish him!” — With the operation going smoothly and the enemy almost completely stripped of fighting capability, Ly Phong shouted out with satisfaction.

…..

On this end, although it was Vuong Minh’s very first time participating in a lethal combat mission, his mindset—forged across two lifetimes—was exceptionally solid.

Showing not a shred of apprehension or fear, he had already circulated his spirit energy, his footsteps pounding against the sand to produce muffled popping sounds as he charged straight toward the dying felon.

Yet, just as he was only a few arm-spans away from the target, Somsak suddenly slammed his hands against the ground, kicking up a blinding cloud of dust that flew straight into his face.

At the same time, the guy used the recoil to launch himself backward while howling miserably:

“Help!

Save me, Envoy Lord!”

A single sentence caused both Vuong Minh and Ly Phong to shudder.

Horrified, Ly Phong hurriedly raised his energy gun, wanting to decisively eliminate the felon, but Somsak didn’t give him that chance.

The guy twisted his body and wriggled into the darkness.

And right at that moment—

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

From a distant reef-strewn shore, two crimson beams of light tore through the night, rocketing in at terrifying speed.

That velocity, that radiating pressure—it was enough to make even Chairman Vuong’s sky-defying boldness freeze right down to the pit of his stomach.

“Not good!

Late Stage Spirit Channeling Realm!!!”

Sure enough, Ly Phong screamed in terror, validating his own thought.

“Fall back!!!!”

Ly Phong shouted at the top of his lungs to warn him, while the watch on his wrist timely emitted an alarm, transmitting an emergency signal to the local police and requesting reinforcements.

Yet by the time reinforcements arrived, the fish would probably have already picked clean whatever was left of their skeletons.

“Ruining the important business of our Eternal Society, you guys can go die!!!”

Eternal Society!

Ly Phong’s expression shifted drastically, cold sweat pouring down in torrents—partly due to the pressure from two opponents of the same realm, and partly due to their terrifyingly dreaded affiliation.

As for Somsak, seeing that reinforcements had arrived, he stopped running in a hurry.

From the dialogue, this cunning fellow had realized Vuong Minh’s special status.

Gritting his teeth against the pain, his body writhed like a water snake, wrapping around Vuong Minh’s legs to prevent him from retreating.

At the same time, the two cultist envoys cooperated seamlessly.

One lashed out with a thorn-laden iron chain carrying nether qi, while the other unleashed a pitch-black Nether Shadow Claw, pouncing on Ly Phong.

In less than a breath, they forced Old Ly into a perilous situation hanging by a thread, overflowing with danger.

Right at that moment, Uncle Binh—who had been busy recording footage—suddenly underwent a complete transformation from his usual gentle, amiable demeanor.

A terrifying killing intent erupted from the seemingly frail old man.

He tossed the recording equipment into mid-air, leaving Amy to handle herself.

His aged body suddenly vaulted forward, moving so fast it left afterimages behind.

Never underestimate this butler; Uncle Binh had once followed Vuong Minh’s maternal grandfather onto the battlefield, slaughtering countless alien enemies.

Though his blade had grown old, taking lives was still well within his capabilities.

Reaching into his breast pocket, the old man pulled out a magic artifact—a dagger.

It wasn’t particularly flashy, but it radiated a dense battlefield killing intent.

Combined with Uncle Binh’s aura, it genuinely made it feel as though a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood were surging forward overwhelmingly.

It was truly shocking.

Everyone on the beach shuddered involuntarily, utterly unable to ignore his sudden appearance.
