Everyone had never seen such an empty cave!
Other people's caves usually housed a dozen people, a Master, plus her many Beast Husbands, and possibly children.
So many people, their daily wear and use were not small, and they ate even more, everyone had stored food.
Unlike Xiao Jinyue, who was so poor, there was nothing in the cave.
"I just arrived, and I don't know where I offended someone, that they would want to starve me to death." Xiao Jinyue sighed, turned around, and was about to walk out, "I'm going to find the Leader."
"Hey, wait, or I'll give you some." a female said.
"Yeah, it's not worth going to the Leader for such a small matter, you just eat and live alone, we'll gather some for you! As long as you get through today, you'll have new Beast Meat tomorrow."
Xiao Jinyue thanked them for their kindness, and insisted on going to find the Leader.
"This is a small matter, but I just arrived at our Fox Tribe, and the other party is so malicious, I can defend against it for a day, can I defend against it every day? You all saw it with your own eyes, why not come with me to see the Leader, just as a witness."
Xiao Jinyue didn't intend to endure it.
Stealing Beast Meat was a small matter, but the nature of this matter was very bad.
If she retreated at the first confrontation, then the other party would not pay any price, and would only become more and more aggressive in the future.
Just like bullying and intimidation, it wasn't so fierce the first time, but rather a test, a provocation, such as pushing you, hiding your things to see you make a fool of yourself.
If you endure it, and don't give the other party any color, then they will immediately realize that you are a weak and easily bullied person, and after that, the other party will become more and more aggressive.
So she had to make a scene, make the whole Tribe know, and also find someone with the right to speak to preside over justice.
These few people hesitated, but seeing that Xiao Jinyue had already taken a step forward, they thought about it and followed.
"Well, we'll speak for you."
"I don't know who did it, it's really too bullying."
And the Leader, after hearing this, also widened her eyes.
"Someone stole Beast Meat? How is this possible! Could it be your Beast Husbands who took it?" she asked.
"They have no reason to do so." Xiao Jinyue shook her head.
The Tribe Members who came with her also echoed, "Yes, Huo Yu and the others live together, and they don't lack food or clothing, how could they steal the female's things?"
"No, Xiao Jinyue is a female, and also their Master, it's already not right that they don't support her, if they really dare to steal the Master's Beast Meat, that's simply outrageous!"
According to everyone's observation, the four of them had always been well-behaved after entering the Tribe, and had never done anything excessive.
The Leader frowned, "Then who did it?"
"Leader, although I just arrived, I am also a member of our Fox Tribe. After I joined, I have always regarded our Tribe Members as Family, and I have also seriously completed all the work arranged by the Tribe, without any overstepping behavior, is this how the Fox Tribe treats its own Tribe Members? If the neighboring Tribes hear about what happened here, how will they view us!"
Xiao Jinyue said with a look of disappointment.
If you want to solve the problem, you have to make a scene, you have to raise the height.
So now it's not a problem of her losing Beast Meat, but a problem of the Fox Tribe's bad atmosphere, a problem of shame for all the Tribes.
The Leader's expression immediately changed.
Every Tribe will accept Beastmen from other Tribes, the reason why those big Tribes are big is because they are strong in force, and have a good atmosphere, so they will attract other Beastmen to come and rely on them.
Their Fox Tribe's Strength wasn't very good to begin with, if the matter of stealing Beast Meat were to spread out, then it would be even more discouraging to other Beastmen.
If the Leader hadn't taken this seriously before, and only planned to give Xiao Jinyue another portion of Beast Meat, then she wouldn't think so now.
This matter must be investigated! It must be clarified!
"Don't worry, I will definitely give you an explanation for this! I will find someone to investigate it. As compensation, I will give you double the Beast Meat, you can take it back and eat it first."
"Thank you, Leader, then I'll wait for your good news."
Xiao Jinyue left with a look of joy, holding the meat.
Leaving the Leader's place, Xiao Jinyue put away her exaggerated smile.
Carrying the Beast Meat back to the Cave, she paused at the entrance.
In the cave that was still empty just now, there were now four people standing or sitting, all four of them had Long legs, broad shoulders and narrow waists, but their temperaments were different.
Besides Lin Ye and Bing Yan, whom she had already seen, there were also two unfamiliar faces.
One of them was standing against the stone wall, arms crossed, eyes open, but without any spirit, after hearing the movement, he was turning his head slightly in her direction.
His eyes were Gold, even without spirit, this strand of Gold was also dazzling.
And the other person almost made people gasp.
He was very strong, wearing a Black Beast Hide vest, the muscles on his chest and abdomen were knotted, clearly defined.
But his face was covered with a layer of ugly black lines, like vines, those black lines from the forehead to the position above the Adam's apple, almost completely covered the entire face.
Fortunately, Xiao Jinyue didn't have trypophobia, otherwise she would have to jump up on the spot.
Probably because she knew the appearance of the four Beast Husbands in advance, and had already had psychological expectations for their situation, so when she actually saw them, her overall reaction was very calm, and she was not frightened.
Little did she know that the four people in the cave, except for Huo Yu who couldn't see, the other three had long been staring at her every move, not missing any small expression on her face.
Even Huo Yu was listening attentively, intending to hear the female's panicked scream.
But, there was none.
No disgust, no fear, no cursing.
"Why are you here?"
She said, and had already walked in.
"You have Beast Meat?" Bing Yan looked at her piece of Beast Meat, and then moved to a certain place in the cave.
Xiao Jinyue followed and looked, and saw a large area of Leaves spread on the ground in the corner, and on top of it was a piece of obviously cooked Beast Meat.
The aroma of the Beast Meat was very rich, judging by this smell, it should still be hot.
"...You came to give me Beast Meat?" Xiao Jinyue seemed to understand.
"We heard that you lost your Beast Meat, and didn't want you to starve to death." Lin Ye sneered, and said in a hard tone, "If we had known you had it, we wouldn't have come this time."
"Thank you, it's good to have it cooked, it saves me from doing it myself." Xiao Jinyue was not at all polite, walked over and started eating.
With this bite, although it was only one bite, she felt like vomiting.
This Beast Meat was very fishy, although it smelled of meat, but it tasted very gamey, and the taste was bland, with only a faint salty taste.
This was not the roasted meat that Xiao Jinyue had expected!
Seeing Xiao Jinyue's expression suddenly change, the piece of meat in her mouth looked like she wanted to vomit but couldn't, Lin Ye's face turned cold again.
Reminder: The four weak and ugly Beast Husbands thrown over by the original Protagonist are actually hidden big shots, and have other identities~
