Morning sunlight poured through the Whispering Spirit Forest.
The darkness left behind by Malakar had disappeared.
Flowers that had withered overnight bloomed once more.
The forest was alive again.
Lyra sat beneath an ancient oak beside Umbra.
The Shadow Wolf rested with his head on her lap.
The rescued beasts from the previous battle had not left.
Instead, they formed a silent circle around her.
Not as guards.
As friends.
The Codex opened gently.

Pyron watched from a nearby cliff.
"You've noticed, haven't you?"
Lyra looked up.
"The beasts aren't afraid anymore."
Pyron nodded.
"A true Beast Sovereign doesn't gather followers."
"They create places where others feel safe."
A loud trumpet echoed across the valley.
Sylvan emerged from the forest, accompanied by hundreds of animals.
Birds circled above him.
Deer walked calmly at his side.
Even bears and wolves shared the same path without hostility.
The entire forest had assembled.
Sylvan lowered his crystal antlers.
"Lyra."
"The Whispering Spirit Forest has made its decision."
Every beast bowed its head.
A brilliant emerald light rose from the ground.
It gathered before Lyra, forming a crystal no larger than her palm.
The Codex glowed brightly.

Lyra accepted the crystal carefully.
"I'll protect it."
Sylvan smiled.
"I know."
Suddenly...
The sky darkened.
Not with storm clouds.
With wings.
Thousands of black birds circled high above the forest.
Umbra growled.
Pyron's expression hardened.
"They're scouts."
"For the Cult."
One raven descended onto a nearby branch.
Its eyes glowed crimson.
Then...
It spoke with a human voice.
"Lord Kael extends an invitation."
The forest fell silent.
"Travel to the Empty Throne willingly."
"Refuse..."
"And every village between here and the capital will burn."
The raven burst into black ash.
The Codex flashed urgently.

Pyron folded his arms.
"So."
"They're forcing our hand."
Lyra shook her head.
"No."
"They're threatening innocent people."
"That means we don't have a choice."
Sylvan stepped closer.
"The road to Asteria passes through the Valley of Echoes."
"It has remained sealed for twenty-five years."
"Only those carrying a Guardian's blessing may enter."
He touched Lyra's forehead gently with one crystal antler.
A faint emerald symbol appeared before fading beneath her skin.
"My blessing will open the path."
As Lyra prepared to leave, the rescued boy from the forest ran toward her.
He carried a small wooden carving of a wolf.
"You saved me."
"I... I made this."
Lyra accepted it with a smile.
"Thank you."
"I'll treasure it."
The boy grinned.
"When I grow up..."
"I want to protect beasts too."
Pyron quietly chuckled.
"One act of kindness."
"And already the world is changing."
As the sun set, Lyra, Umbra, and Pyron stood at the edge of the Whispering Spirit Forest.
Behind them, Sylvan and countless beasts watched in silence.
The ancient Stag King raised his voice one last time.
"Remember this, Beast Sovereign."
"The strongest roots are never seen."
"They are the ones that hold the forest together."
Lyra nodded.
"I won't forget."
With Umbra at her side and the Codex resting in her pack, she stepped onto the ancient road leading toward the Kingdom of Asteria.
Far beyond the horizon, within the obsidian halls of the Empty Throne, Lord Kael stood before a map marked with glowing red lights.
He smiled coldly.
"Let her come."
"The Valley of Echoes will decide whether she is worthy... or whether she dies before meeting me."
