“Answer me.”
“You are wrong.”
“Pardon?”
“I am not a sinner.”
Hyun-jun spoke on his behalf the words that the Ulric in the original work had truly wanted to say.
In the original work, due to guilt and confusion, he had only barely managed to repeat the words, ‘I am… a sinner…’
However, hyun-jun, who knew the entire story, knew Ulric’s true feelings.
Why he had to kill the emperor himself.
Why he had no choice but to exterminate the Imperial Family along with the other Dark Knights.
With what kind of feelings he had helped the other Dark Knights escape from the Imperial Palace, remaining behind alone to willingly be arrested by the Imperial Guard…
‘Perhaps among the very few readers, I might be the only one who knows all of Ulric’s true intentions.’
Knowing Ulric’s heart, hyun-jun had sincerely cheered for him.
And now, hyun-jun had the opportunity to speak through Ulric’s body.
As someone who had been an observer on the outside of the story, and simultaneously as the Ulric inside the story, hyun-jun spoke confidently.
“Even if no one in This World understands me, I will defend myself.
I am not a sinner.”
At that moment, hyun-jun could feel it.
Ulric’s – no, hyun-jun’s own soul reacting strongly.
And the fate of the world twisting.
The source of that twisting was hyun-jun’s bold statement.
‘If the persons, events, and background in the original work suppress Ulric, I will raise my voice against the original work.’
It was a declaration of his will that hyun-jun, having become Ulric, would directly issue a rebuttal to the world if necessary.
-Congratulations!
You have taken the first step toward a new fate!
-The resonance phenomenon between the souls of Ulric and Kim Hyun-jun activates!
-The singularity fluctuates wildly!
-A change occurs in the soul of the earthling, Kim Hyun-jun, who was not born with the aptitude for an adventuring spirit!
Thump!
His heart pounded.
And then.
-Kim Hyun-jun’s adventuring spirit awakens!
-Awakening rate: 25%…
-Awakening rate: 39%…
-Awakening rate: 58%…
‘I’m awakening?’
In This World, someone becomes a warrior, and someone becomes a mage, the moment one awakens an adventuring spirit.
Extremely rarely, they might obtain the adventuring spirit of a class like a magic swordsman, a necromancer, or a Dark Knight.
Those who awaken an adventuring spirit and obtain an Adventure Class like this are called adventurers.
‘Is my soul, which took possession of Ulric, also awakening?
Then I’ll have two classes, so is that a good thing for now?’
The existing Dark Knight, and the newly obtained class.
-Awakening rate: 59%…
-Awakening rate: 81%…
-Awakening rate: 100%…
-Adventuring spirit awakening is complete!
-The Adventure Class Kim Hyun-jun has awakened is ‘Fate Weaver’!
‘Fate Weaver?’
It was a class that did not exist in the original work.
However, the moment he obtained the class, essential information was deeply engraved into hyun-jun’s mind.
‘Wait, there’s only one skill?’
There was only one thing he could use, and only one thing he could learn.
