Xie Xiran’s expression made it obvious that he had done it on purpose. He had actively welcomed the camera instead of hiding from it.
As everyone looked at Doudou, who was sleeping soundly and completely oblivious, and then at Xie Xiran, who wore a scheming expression with a smile at the corner of his lips, they couldn’t help but worry for Bai Shu in their hearts.
Oh my god, run away, Shushu! Someone is eyeing you!
Unfortunately, Bai Shu was currently fast asleep with flushed cheeks and couldn’t hear everyone’s roaring warnings.
Doudou’s little feet rested against Xie Zhuyi, while Xie Zhuyi placed a hand on Doudou’s tummy. The two little ones slept sprawled out like little frogs on Doudou’s small bed.
Although the bed wasn’t quite long enough, it was wide enough; otherwise, the two little rascals wouldn’t have tossed and turned so much while still managing to stay safely on the mattress without rolling off.
Wuwuwu, the two little babies are so cute. My heart is melting.
Plus one. Seeing this makes me want to go to sleep, too.
Don’t even mention it. I’m already lying in bed, showing only my head while grinning stupidly at my phone as I look at the two cute little cubs.
Did the person above install a security camera in my house? Why else would you know my exact posture right now? It’s identical to what you described!
So envious. Office workers can only hunch over their desks and make do.
Sending hugs! Doudou and little Zhuyi will give you strength!
The viewers chatted back and forth, and time passed quickly.
An hour later, Doudou woke up first.
He rolled over and tucked his tiny body cozily into Xie Zhuyi’s arms.
Still feeling a bit groggy, Doudou poked Xie Zhuyi’s cheek, which felt plump and soft. Then he poked his own cheek and found it even softer.
A wave of inexplicable satisfaction washed over Doudou. That’s right, I’m the cutest one.
After all, his little cheeks were the softest.
The little fellow nuzzled against Xie Zhuyi and began his daily routine of spacing out to wake his brain up.
At that moment, Xie Zhuyi also stretched his arms out and scooped the little boy into his embrace, treating him just like a stuffed doll.
Doudou puffed out his cheeks and protested, “Let go of Doudou right now!”
He couldn’t even move!
With a mischievous grin, Xie Zhuyi hugged the little boy tighter and gave him a vigorous rub, instantly ruffling Doudou’s fur and making him bristle.
Doudou raised both hands like little claws and glared fiercely at Xie Zhuyi. “If you don’t let Doudou go, Doudou is going to eat you up, humph!”
Xie Zhuyi replied, “Okay! Go ahead and eat your big brother, Doudou.”
With that, he actively leaned his face closer.
Doudou: (⊙_⊙)!!!
To think there was actually someone who wasn’t afraid of being eaten by him!
Seeing Doudou’s silly expression, Xie Zhuyi couldn’t help kissing him on the cheek. “Mmm, Doudou tastes much better.”
Doudou was instantly so frightened that his eyes welled up with tears.
Wuwuwu, don’t eat Doudou.
However, since he had cried a lot earlier that morning, his eyes hurt whenever he cried now, and they immediately turned red.
Xie Zhuyi quickly coaxed him, “Alright, alright. Big Brother was just joking with Doudou. You can bite Big Brother instead.”
As he spoke, he offered his little hand right up to Doudou’s mouth.
Doudou stopped crying and looked seriously at Xie Zhuyi. “Doudou is really going to bite now, so don’t cry, okay?”
“Ah—”
Doudou opened his mouth wide, pretending to look fierce.
Xie Zhuyi pushed his hand straight toward Doudou’s mouth, but Doudou suddenly turned his little face away and said with an air of haughty pretense, “I’m not eating you. You don’t taste good.”
Hmph, I’m certainly not going to expose the fact that I’m just a big tiger who doesn’t know how to eat people.
Amused by his little brother’s cuteness, Xie Zhuyi suddenly tackled him down and showered him with kisses. “You are just too cute!”
Doudou giggled uncontrollably from the kisses. He often played this kind of hugging and kissing game with his mom and dad at home, as well as with Shushu.
Every time, the little fellow would laugh until he had no strength left.
“Hehehe~ It tickles~”
Fearing that his little brother would laugh himself out, Xie Zhuyi pulled him up to a sitting position. “Alright, let’s go see what the older brothers are up to, shall we?”
Only then did Doudou remember his primary mission. Oh no! He had left Big Brother behind, and now that he had been spending time with Xie Zhuyi, it was crystal clear who had been left alone with Big Brother.
Doudou’s heart sank, and he nodded solemnly. “Okay.”
He had to go check on what that bad guy was doing.
Anxious, the little fellow scampered right off the bed, almost tripping over his feet. His stuffed rabbit toy wasn’t even of any use this time.
The live stream comments instantly came alive:
Go get him, Doudou! Xie Xiran is lying on the same bed as your big brother right now.
Run faster! Xie Xiran is already awake; if you’re too late, you won’t catch him in the act.
You can do it, Doudou!
The scene everyone had been eagerly anticipating was finally about to arrive.
Inside the room, Xie Xiran had been the first to wake up. Because Bai Shu had stayed up late the previous day, ridden the tricycle for a long time, and busied himself with cooking, he was still fast asleep from exhaustion.
As soon as he woke up, Xie Xiran used the blanket to shield his line of sight while quietly watching Bai Shu.
True to form, Bai Shu was the person he had set his sights on long ago—red lips, white teeth, and skin as tender as a baby’s, with a slight, adorable plumpness to his face that made anyone want to reach out and pinch it.
Xie Xiran wanted to pinch his cheek, too, but he didn’t dare for fear of waking Shushu up.
He repeated the name silently in his heart, feeling grateful to Doudou; otherwise, he wouldn’t have known when he would finally dare to voice the two syllables he had kept hidden deep within his heart.
Shushu.
In the past, Shushu had been too easily embarrassed, so Xie Xiran hadn’t dared to be presumptuous.
Now, however, he could say that name openly, and Xie Xiran was already more than satisfied.
Right at that moment, he heard the sound of children laughing.
It seemed Zhuyi and Doudou were awake.
Xie Xiran thought of Doudou’s overbearing temperament. If the little guy found out that he had shared a bed with Bai Shu, he would probably throw a fit loud enough to tear the roof down.
Therefore, Xie Xiran decided to make a timely retreat.
As he reached the top of the stairs, he ran right into a flustered Doudou.
The little boy even had his shoes on the wrong feet.
Xie Xiran smiled and greeted him, “Doudou, you’re awake?”
Doudou gave him a wary look and demanded, “Where are you coming from?”
Looking blank, Xie Xiran replied, “I never left.”
Without sparing him another glance though he had already guessed the truth, he simply couldn’t bear to believe it the little fellow burst into Bai Shu’s room with a loud bang.
Xie Zhuyi followed closely behind. Seeing Bai Shu, he asked with childish curiosity, “Big Brother, do you sleep in the same room as Shushu Brother?”
“What do you think? You were sleeping on the same bed as Doudou, weren’t you?”
Xie Zhuyi thought about it and decided it made sense: older brothers sleep with older brothers, and little brothers sleep with little brothers.
Yep, that made total sense.
Is Xie Xiran trying to hoodwink a little kid?
Definitely! Little Xie Zhuyi has already been successfully bamboozled.
Darn it! Xie Xiran gives off a slightly bad-boy vibe.
I can already picture Doudou’s fur standing on end. Doudou has it so rough.
Plus one, I can’t wait anymore!
Startled awake, Bai Shu sat straight up and asked without even opening his eyes, “What is it? What’s going on?”
Doudou kicked off his shoes and lunged straight onto Bai Shu’s body, crying out, “Big Brotheeeer ”
His voice was utterly miserable, painting a picture of someone who had suffered a grave injustice.
Still too sleepy to open his eyes, Bai Shu bundled Doudou up like a little dumpling and tucked him right into the blanket. “Mm, let’s sleep a little longer.”
“No, no, no ”
Before the little fellow could finish, his mouth was covered by Bai Shu, whose head was buried right against Doudou’s tummy.
Doudou wrapped his arms around Shushu’s head, pressing his little face against his big brother’s.
“Shushu, be good.”
Doudou felt utterly exhausted. That big bad guy Xie Xiran had definitely shared a bed with Shushu!
Because the mattress underneath them was still warm!
Warm! It had that exact lingering warmth of someone having just slept in that spot!
At that moment, Xie Zhuyi burrowed out from beneath the blanket next to them, calling out, “Doudou!”
Doudou glared at him fiercely, tiny sparks of fury dancing in his eyes.
Unfazed, Xie Zhuyi tilted his head in confusion and muttered, “Eh? Why is the temperature underneath us so warm?”
As he spoke, he felt around the mattress. “It’s all warm and toasty.”
Doudou rolled over and landed a kick directly on Xie Zhuyi’s hand, only for his little foot to be grabbed by a small hand and used as leverage to climb onto the bed. “Are you still going to sleep? My big brother said that older brothers sleep with older brothers, and little brothers sleep with little brothers.”
Doudou: (;-_-)…
Agh The little fellow was dying of anger.
So infuriating!
Bai Shu finally woke up fully, pulled the little boy into his arms to rub his little body, and gave him an affectionate cuddle and kiss. “What’s wrong?”
Why did Doudou look like he had been blown up by anger?
As Bai Shu smoothed down his hair and kissed him twice, the little boy’s eyes turned red. “He slept on the same bed as you!”
“Who?”
“The bad guy!”
Bai Shu: (⊙_⊙)??
“Who is the bad guy?”
Refusing to speak, Doudou buried his face against Bai Shu’s chest, looking heartbroken.
It was all his fault for not keeping a close eye on Shushu and letting that bad guy take advantage of him.
Holding the little fellow, Bai Shu sat up and helped release Xie Zhuyi from the blankets.
Xie Zhuyi immediately reached out to grab Doudou’s hand. “Don’t cry, don’t cry.”
His little brother’s eyes were already red; he couldn’t let him cry anymore.
Pinching Doudou’s cheeks to check on him, Bai Shu asked, “Why are your eyes so swollen? Let me go get an ice pack for you.”
He started to get out of bed, but Doudou wrapped his arms tightly around his waist, hanging onto him like a koala bear.
With no other choice, Bai Shu carried him on his back, supporting his little bottom and giving it a gentle pinch. “You, oh you.”
There really was no doing anything with him.
Helplessly, Bai Shu carried the child downstairs on his back.
“Zhuyi, keep up and walk slowly.”
Xie Zhuyi was already sticking close behind Doudou like a little tail, trying to hold his hand, only for Doudou to pull away.
Hmph, the younger brother of a bad guy!
Scratching his head in bafflement, Xie Zhuyi couldn’t understand why his little brother was throwing a tantrum again, acting just like a fussy, easily angered little spoiled brat.
And that spoiled brat’s eyes were actually swollen from crying.
With a sigh, Xie Zhuyi hurried to catch up.
Just then, Bai Shu spotted Xie Xiran coming out of the kitchen with a cup of ice water. “Thanks for carrying me upstairs earlier.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Xie Xiran tried to say something more, but he noticed a small head poking out from behind Bai Shu, glaring at him viciously.
With eyes still red and swollen, the child looked pitifully aggrieved.
For once, Xie Xiran began to reflect on whether he had gone too far, but everything he had done was what a proper boyfriend should do, right?
He hadn’t crossed any boundaries either.
It just meant that little Doudou needed a bit more time to get used to it.
Although Bai Shu deliberately glossed over the fact that Xie Xiran had carried him upstairs, Doudou wasn’t about to let it go. He began whispering grievances about Xie Xiran directly into Bai Shu’s ear.
Patting the little boy’s head, Bai Shu knew he meant well, but the little fellow was admittedly being a bit over-reactive.
“Doudou, you need to stay calm and stop getting angry. Aren’t your eyes uncomfortable?”
Holding the ice pack, Bai Shu instructed, “Close your eyes.”
With a huff, Doudou finally closed his eyes.
“It feels so cold and stingy,” Doudou mumbled, shaking his little head in an attempt to pull away, but he was held firmly in place.
“Zhuyi, hold your little brother.”
Bai Shu couldn’t manage the child all by himself, but with Xie Zhuyi’s help, the process went much more smoothly.
Off to the side, Xie Xiran chuckled softly. Doudou’s little body stiffened instantly, and he stubbornly held his neck rigid, refusing to move an inch.
He wasn’t afraid of a simple ice compress; he was super brave! Today, he was going to show that bad guy just how much courage Doudou had!
