At the Jinye Club.

“Young President Ming, don’t worry. Everything has been arranged according to your instructions.”

The club supervisor bowed slightly and spoke respectfully to the young man seated on the sofa.Full novel: Because She’s Too Beautiful to Stay a Cannon Fodder — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The young man had black hair and fair skin, with a gentle smile hanging at the corners of his lips.

“Thank you for your trouble.”

“Not at all, not at all. Once he arrives, I’ll have someone bring him up immediately.” The supervisor carefully observed his expression and added tactfully, “Then please make yourself comfortable, Young President Ming. I’ll take my leave first.”

Ming Jing nodded lightly.

The supervisor left the room, secretly shaking her head.

She never would have expected that the crown prince of the Ming Family had such unusual tastes in private.

If he wanted to meet a man, then so be it, but he had even arranged audio and video recording equipment. On top of that, several tall, muscular security guards had been stationed in the room next door with instructions to rush in the moment they heard the sound of a glass shattering.

As expected, the richer people were, the more elaborate their games seemed to be.

The door closed behind her, shutting out the noise from outside.

Ming Jing sat calmly in place, his gaze slowly sweeping across every corner of the room.

The European-style décor featured red velvet sofas that complemented the black classical-patterned walls. The lighting was dim, and the air carried the rich fragrance of roses.

A giant mural hung on the black wall, and directly opposite the sofa, a faint red light blinked intermittently.

A large soft bed covered in rose petals had been placed conspicuously in the room, adding an unmistakably intimate atmosphere.

Ming Jing withdrew his gaze. His handsome face remained expressionless.

In truth, he did not understand why he was involving himself in this matter.

Whether she was deceived or taken advantage of had nothing to do with him.

No matter what happened to her, it should have had no connection to him whatsoever.

Yet somehow, he had accepted that boy’s friend request, endured his disgust long enough to agree to a meeting, and even arranged for recording equipment to be installed in advance.

Perhaps he wanted proof.

Proof that her judgment was terrible.

Proof that the person she was interested in was not only a deceitful individual but also someone obsessed with him.

The memory of being rejected without hesitation resurfaced.

The smile on Ming Jing’s face gradually disappeared, and his mood worsened once more.

A knock sounded from outside.

“Young President Ming, we’ve brought him here.”

“Come in.”

The private room door opened.

A carefully dressed young man stood at the entrance, staring directly at the handsome youth seated on the sofa.

For a moment, he forgot to look away.

Only when he noticed Ming Jing’s slight frown did Liang Yu realize his lapse and hurriedly lower his head, his face turning red.

“…Senior Ming, I’m here.”

Ming Jing paused before replying with a gentle smile.

“Come in.”

Meanwhile, guided by the navigation system, Xiao Yao parked the car in front of Jinye Club.

The tracking app showed that Liang Yu’s location had stopped moving there.

Xiao Yao and Jiang Yue got out of the car and walked toward the entrance one after another.

Two young, attractive attendants stood by the doorway.

Seeing customers approach, they immediately bowed politely and displayed professional smiles.

“Welcome—”

As they raised their heads, they suddenly caught sight of a familiar cold and beautiful face.

Both froze.

“Xiao… Yao?”

One of them called out uncertainly.

Xiao Yao looked up and glanced at them calmly.

“What a coincidence.”

Jiang Yue looked surprised.

Xiao Yao did not seem like someone who would frequent places like this.

Half teasing, she asked,

“You’ve been here before? That’s unexpected… What were you doing here?”

“Working.”

After saying that, Xiao Yao walked inside.

Jiang Yue froze briefly before hurrying after her.

“O-Oh. Right.”

She carefully observed Xiao Yao’s expression from the side, worried that her casual question might have touched on a sensitive topic.

However, Xiao Yao simply continued forward in silence.

With her lips pressed together, she looked completely unapproachable.

Xiao Yao brought her to find the supervisor she had worked under previously.

The supervisor still remembered her.

Or rather, anyone who had seen her true appearance would have difficulty forgetting her.

Xiao Yao showed Liang Yu’s photograph to the supervisor and asked whether she had seen him that day.

The supervisor had reached her position through more than experience alone.

She possessed a remarkable memory and sharp observational skills.

She recognized the young man in the photo immediately.

In person, he was dressed much more elaborately than in the picture, but traces of the clean-cut youth could still be seen in his features.

He had arrived not long ago.

In fact, he was the specific person someone had requested be brought up.

The supervisor’s brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.

Then she shook her head.

“This person… I don’t really remember him.”

“Take another look.”

Refusing to give up, Xiao Yao pushed the photo closer.

Tilting her head slightly, she continued questioning her.

Her beautiful eyes remained fixed on the supervisor, making her resemble a normally aloof cat suddenly acting spoiled.

Too cute!

The supervisor was a devoted cat enthusiast.

Completely overwhelmed by the visual impact before her, she unconsciously revealed everything she knew.

Inside a VIP room on the third floor.

The door clicked shut behind him.

Liang Yu realized he was now alone with Ming Jing.

Excitement immediately surged through him.

He had never imagined that the moon hanging high in the sky would one day descend to his side.

Liang Yu stared at the young man’s face with infatuation.

It was the face he had dreamed about countless times.

The tall nose bridge.

The lightly pink lips.

The faintly prominent Adam’s apple against his pale neck.

From head to toe, there seemed to be no flaw whatsoever.

Seated casually on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, even a careless glance from him was enough to make Liang Yu’s heart race uncontrollably.

Biting his lower lip shyly, Liang Yu spoke in a voice soft as water.

“Senior Ming…”

Unable to resist, he stepped forward.

For today’s meeting, he had carefully applied light makeup.

His already fair and delicate features appeared even more vivid and attractive.

With his lip caught between his teeth, he carried a certain fragile charm.

If it had been one of his previous partners, they might already have lost control.

Yet as Ming Jing looked at him, another face unexpectedly surfaced in his mind.

White teeth biting gently against soft lips.

Those lips flushed red from mistreatment, vibrant and enticing like ripe fruit overflowing with juice.

The image lingered.

His gaze darkened slightly as he drifted into thought.

Liang Yu mistakenly assumed Ming Jing had become captivated by him.

His face flushed deeper.

His heartbeat accelerated.

His confidence grew as well.

He knew that powerful people like Ming Jing often preferred partners who were bold and willing to indulge their preferences.

Although he personally was not particularly fond of such things, if Ming Jing wanted it…

It was not impossible.

Liang Yu reached into his bag and removed something he had brought.

Holding it with both hands, he slowly knelt down.

Moving forward on his knees, he stopped before Ming Jing and raised the item above his head.

Ming Jing paused.

Suppressing his disgust, he accepted it.

His other hand remained wrapped around a glass.

He planned to signal the security guards to come in once Liang Yu exposed himself further.

Behind the mural, the tiny red recording light continued blinking.

Recording everything.

Encouraged by the reaction, Liang Yu slowly began undoing his buttons.

One.

Two.

More clothing fell to the floor.

Lowering his head slightly, he exposed the pale curve of his neck.

His lips parted.

“Please show me some kindness, Young Master Ming…”

Bang!

The door was kicked open violently.

Liang Yu, who had been kneeling with his back to the entrance and wearing very little, let out a shrill scream.

Panicked, he attempted to hide behind Ming Jing.

Instead, he was met with a merciless kick.

The blow carried considerable force.

His vision darkened from the impact.

Before he could recover, a familiar voice rang out with heartbreaking fury.

“Liang Yu, you bastard!”

Nothing was more devastating than witnessing a boyfriend’s betrayal firsthand.

Especially under circumstances this chaotic and humiliating.

Jiang Yue broke down completely.

Crying uncontrollably, she rushed forward.

Ignoring all concern for appearances, she grabbed Liang Yu and slapped him repeatedly.

His carefully made-up face immediately swelled.

Dazed from the blows, Liang Yu struggled free from the people restraining him.

Without even caring that the woman before him was his longtime girlfriend, he desperately searched for Ming Jing.

Ming Jing liked him.

Surely he would not stand by and watch him get beaten.

But when Liang Yu’s gaze finally landed on him, he froze.

The young man who had been sitting leisurely on the sofa moments earlier had already risen to his feet.

His eyes were fixed firmly on the girl standing at the doorway.

He did not look at Liang Yu even once.
